I was always anxious to see what room we got, too. If you booked standard view then you might have a fireworks view. That would be really nice.

We are excited about our view prospects for this trip with our Standard view reservations. We have three rooms traveling together so we hope to be close. We stuck with our usual "high floor, open to lobby" room requests, even with the lobby elevator closed.

We do know more about our room location than ever before. With the South wing closed our second digit of our room number will be a zero. The rest will be revealed in less than 5 days.

May i ask how you requested the "open to lobby" option? that is what we would prefer too and on the online check in that wasn't an option

We call in our room requests to the central reservations phone number to have them noted on our reservations. We also did online checkin, and just made sure to not make any conflicting requests there. The room assignor should have access to both sources of requests. It has worked out well for us in the past.

We totally agree! We have been on the other side above the registration desk and lob d opening the door and stepping out into that beautiful lobby. This time we are hoping for above WCC, even though we'll have to walk down toward Roaring Fork to get to an elevator. We could still use the stairs in the lobby, which might be our morning plan.

We had a room right above WCC, third door from the end of the hall, and loved the location. We used the stairs all the time since we were on the fourth floor. And since the lobby is really on the second floor, the stairs never seemed hard to do.

Haven't been on Disboards for quite some time since we didn't have a trip planned but we are excited to be going back next September. Most likely though we'll be staying at POR and not the beloved WL. Happened to find your PTR and had a read through...WOW, lots of exciting things going on in your lives over the last while. That baby of your is just adorable and Allie sure has grown, such a pretty little girl she is!!

Haven't been on Disboards for quite some time since we didn't have a trip planned but we are excited to be going back next September. Most likely though we'll be staying at POR and not the beloved WL. Happened to find your PTR and had a read through...WOW, lots of exciting things going on in your lives over the last while. That baby of your is just adorable and Allie sure has grown, such a pretty little girl she is!!

Hello! We were just talking about meeting you guys during our last WL trip. That's great that you have a trip planned now. Check out our last Trip Report, we really enjoyed POR. With a preferred room the walk to the buses was less than at WL. It wasn't all covered though, so it was a bit more challenging in the rain. We are excited to get to return to WL this time.

Marshall has been a big addition to our lives, but he fits right in. Allie loves being a big sister and takes great care of him. It will be a lot of fun to share Disney with him for the first time.

We would love to do a bounce back next year, but it is still a little early to know if we'll be able to. If we did it would probably be in late August to avoid having to take Allie out of school. We will see.

It was great to hear from you and be sure to stay in touch.

I missed this post earlier, I was probably busy changing something! I took lots of spy photos at WL yesterday and I don't think you're going to recognize the place. I'll try to post them tomorrow.

I like the way Allie poses now with a bit of attitude. Great job recycling the outfits. It would be a shame to not use them if you can.

Thanks! We're glad you got to check out WL, and your live report has helped us make it through this week. There's only one day of work left, and we are both leaving early.

We have seen lots of happy recent reviews on the WL thread, and are looking forward to joining them.

It is getting down to the wire. We are at 1 day, 7 hours left until we leave.


And I am very close to being packed. I made the last Target run tonight.

And the last load of laundry is in the washing machine. My feet were in desperate need of a pedicure, so Allie and I went to the mall last night and got our toes done for Disney.




I decided not to participate, but I am sure Allie would have picked out some cool colors for me. She couldn't settle on just one for her fingernails.



You can also see her bracelet she got at the Disney store, which she wants to pack for Disney World to show Belle.


She got the bracelet for helping move a table in the store so that the guy could sweep under it. We are there quite a bit, usually once a week.


It has been our only way of getting our Disney fix for the last few months, but we are about to fix that with 10 days of complete Disney immersion!


We can't wait, but we gotta get the house clean first.


So that's our plan for tonight. We'll post more once the cleaning and packing are done.

Fortunately so is our packing. We managed to fit everything without adding a bag, and Marshall has a lot of stuff coming. Allie even made sure her favorite dolls made it in.


So with that, we are ready. We even have over six hours until the shuttle shows up. At Disney World it is already our arrival day!

We all got room ready texts as we landed. We have three rooms together on the North side of the North wing. The MK view should be neat.

We just for our bus stop order: FW, WL, GF, CR. 2nd stop isn't bad.
