I just read Kate Gosselin will have a 2 part special on TLC this summer! Just when I thought she was gone...:sad2:

I am watching less and less of TLC. It just seems like everyone who wants to make a buck or two and has an "odd" family can get a reality show on TV.

What trip did Kate get offered for this show?

There are hoarders, honey boo-boo, people who didn't know they were pregnant, sister wives, my five wives, the Duggars, the little couple, the Rolaff family, the various Amish shows, the "600-pound lifes".

Sorry TLC...either I am getting to old to handle this type of show - or the concept is getting old.

I'm not saying I don't watch TLC, I love the Friday night bridal shows! BUT - I do not want any more family drama series. I have been watching the Duggars - but in the past couple of weeks, it just seems like product placement is occurring more and more, I realize they will have weddings to pay for, but the product placements just seem like a money grab, and that is IMO - against what they are all about. And, the Little Couple with their new family still hasn't gotten the best of me, I think there 2 kids are normal and adorable - so far.

I'll gauge my eyes out before watching her. She's like nails on a chalk board.

PLEASE GOD - NOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO!!!!!!!!:faint:

What are the product placements? I must be blind and or not really seeing.

I watched her show with her husband and all the kids...ONCE...the kids were constantly screaming and crying and I wasn't going to put up with that crap on TV. Once was enough! :)

I did see her and her kids again when they were on Sarah Palin's show, camping out in Alaska. It was interesting. ;)

You forgot the various gypsy wedding train wreck shows!

I totally agree with you about TLC. The only thing I watch on there anymore are the wedding/bridal shows and The Little Couple. I think they are an amazing couple who have overcome so much and never feel sorry for themselves. Their kids are beyond adorable too!

I would rather poke my eyes out with a red-hot poker than give Kate Gosselin one minute of my attention. After I saw how she treated her kids and best friend on that RV trip episode I was done.

.

You are right, I totally forgot about the gypsies.

As far as product placements on the Duggars - just recently - they had a helium tank prominently placed with the name very visible when blowing up balloons. And, the other one that REALLY irked me was a nutritional drink, that looked like a juice box for the grandson. Right after that segment aired, there was a commercial. Josh even made a comment that when you find something your 2-year old likes to eat - that is a good thing. LET ME JUST SAY - moms that BF, have home births, etc, most likely DO NOT give their kids a toddler formula. I don't know if their iphones are product placements or not. Just seems that the Duggars are so "anti-internet" for their kids, that it just seems odd that they are pulling up recipes on their I-phones.

On a recent show, Anna was talking about feeding healthy things to her family. During one moment, she was speaking like a commercial--about quick and easy snacks. She was placing some boxes that looked like juice boxes in the bag. I couldn't tell what they were, but it seemed very much a product placement. If not, it was an audition for one.

When Jessa, Ben, and Jinged flew to DC, the American Airlines logo at the airport was clearly shown.

In DC, they did the Trolley tour with Josh, Anna and the kids. Name of company was clearly said several times and logos and Trolley clearly shown.

Very much product placement/ad dollars here.

And pretty sure the family has a Mac and iPhones--I think the logo is shown when in use.

I saw the product placements and thought they were awful. Sort of seems like maybe the show is on its way down and they're gonna take every penny they can get as it goes down.

Showing a hotel or airline name is one thing. But commenting on how great the product is........ just yuck.

I hate TLC. We've now got it over here in the UK and it's awful. Every show is so scripted and painful to watch.

I agree. I used to watch a fair amount of TLC, now if I watch 1 hour a month that's a lot. The shows they are rolling out just seem bizarre.

The one that kills me is "Sex Sent Me to the ER". One time my curiosity got the better of me - I thought that no way could a whole show be dedicated to people who've injured themselves while getting busy. I thought there had to be more to it.

Nope, that's it. :confused3 It was so weird. I only watched about 10 minutes before I bailed.

So far the reviews is making Kate look bad. Guess what, she is more worn out and more tired.

TLC is my guilty pleasure...I love The Little Couple...but hate Little People Big World. I watch the Duggars, but agree with the recent product placement as really bad...And she was talking healthy food...It was pre packaged toddler formula....that is full of crap..but it keeps me entertained when I am stuck to the couch with DD...

As for Kate...I will record and watch...why not....I love a good train wreck

And it's freaky how close the actors look like the people who actually had it happened to them. TLC plays some weird crazy shows. I will only watch if there is nothing else on.
