Sheraton's Vistana Resort in LBV

Hi,

I'm new to these boards but I've been to WDW tons of times. So now I'm planning my honeymoon and I think we really like the Vistana Resort in Lake Beuna Vista.

Can someone help me with some info?

1. Do you have to sit thru a 90 minute speech on timeshares if you want to stay there? This is our honeymoon and I know my fiance would be aggravated to have to sit thru that.

2. Anyone know what the rate might be in March for a one bedroom? They only give rates 6 months out.

3. Someone mentioned it's older - the pics on the internet look great - doesn't look old to me! Will I be disappointed?

Any thoughts/suggestions would be great! Thank you!

No, not if you get a week from Sheraton's site or Tug2. One of the salesguys I spoke to here told me they're only interested in upgrading current owners, not new owners. This is at the Resort, the Villages are still recruiting.

Check the ads on TUG. The rates depend on the owner.

There are areas that are almost 30 years old, others are much newer. The area I'm in is newer, the Lakes, but yesterday we rode thru a few older areas that were nowhere near as nice! They were near the main recreation center and the Super pool.

We stayed there twice as renters before we bought a unit there and once we were offered the option of sitting through the presentation in exchange for free Disney passes so we did it and it was painless. I did not buy from them, but thru a re-seller but it was bc of the presentation that I ended up buying.

We own in Fountains II which is older but has been re-done several times over and is very nice. We love it. But having said this, I think for my honeymoon I might choose either the Wyndham or the Marriott timeshare properties. They are newer and fancier, I think.
