Sheraton Vistana Villages

Any opinions on traffic from Sheraton Vistana Villages to Disney. We have never stayed there and I know it's off of International Dr. I can't seem to place exactly where it is. I know traffic around the outlets can be a nightmare. Thanks

We stayed there in May. Traffic wasn't bad at all. The only thing that was a little bit of a pain was making the left out of VV on to International Drive (the way you have to go to Disney). There was no light. Sometimes we had to wait a long time to make the turn. Other times, there was no traffic. I would imagine that Vineland would get busy because of the outlets, but I never saw that spill on to International Drive.

It's near the southernmost end of I-Drive across from Daryl Carter Parkway. That end of I-Drive has low traffic levels. It's a straight shot down I-Drive to World Centre Drive, turn right and then straight into the parks. Maybe 15 minutes to Epcot, 20 to TTC at MK.

Funny you mention that as I had the same issue with turning left. Then I realized that you can turn right (which is easy) and there is a turn around a block down the road. So now I always turn right and make a u-turn and head in the correct direction!

I was actually just there last week! It was my third time staying there.

I actually really like it. Are you reading bad reviews on the DIS? I have nothing but good things to say about it.

So happy to hear it was a good experience. This will be our first stay. The reviews are on tripadvisor and the sheraton website. I'm not worried about timeshare pressure, but there were concerns about staff attitudes and condition of the rooms. I think we will be in a building called St Augustine so hopefully it will be in decent shape.

Stayed just north of there in the fall, really is not far to Disney with minimal traffic. You don't have to go near the Outlet Mall. Stay on International until it turns into World Drive and shoot straight in. No hassle with Downtown Disney area either.

We were originally in a first floor room in Key West that smelled very moldy. It looked fine, just smelled awful. They moved us to a building right next to the main pool, which was also in good condition. They were very nice about it and asked what floor we wanted and what building we would prefer. We thought the entire resort was in good shape and liked it better than Vistana Resort.

We're going to be staying at Vistana Villages in December. I -believe- either St. Augustine or Key West maybe? Was wondering if there was maybe a FAQ thread for Vistana Villages on the DIS? Just joined a few days ago and still in the process of navigating through the overwhelming number of threads haha. My parents own a timeshare through Vistana, so we've pretty much always stayed at Vistana Resort, but the last time we took a weekend trip a few years ago, we stayed in the Villages. I just don't remember much about it, due to it being such a short trip. Really excited to go back to Disney this December, but wanting a refresher I guess on Vistana Villages lol. Any help would be greatly appreciated!

We've stayed there twice and loved it. Lots of options for pools, activities, food. Not too far to get to the parks.

We love the Vistana Villages. Avoid going near the outlet mall later in the day, the traffic is bad!
