We're visiting WDW on June 5-12 now have our accommodation choices narrowed down to the Sheraton Vistana Resort and Cypress Pointe (and if we choose CP, deciding if the Grande Villas are worth the extra cost) and I would so much appreciate your advice!!!
I've got a family of four -- myself, hubby, and two kids, ages 4 and 7 (very soon to be 5 and 8). We're looking for a 2 bedroom suite/condo/timeshare place.
It seems like both places would be nice. Doing some searches on this board, I found lots of helpful info, but some of the posts are older. Can you give me any opinions on the two places? Maybe including the following:
*size/cleanliness of the room and overall resort.
*details about the pools -- "fun-ness" and age appropriateness; the volcano pool might be pretty appealing to my kids, but I haven't seen a really good picture of the pool at either place.
*general atmosphere of the place -- how kid-friendly is each?
*other aspects of the facilities - things to do at the resort like game rooms, playgrounds, activities for the kids?
*your opinion of the restaurants onsite or nearby
*if you went, your opinion of the fitness rooms
*distance to Disney (I think they are close to the same but I'm not sure)
*shuttles to Disney -- we'll have a car but I don't know if it's better to use their transportation
*maid service details (I think it's not included at CP, but not mandatory either?)
*anything else you can think of
Between various web sites, I think I can get a pretty good deal on either place -- around $70 per night at CP, $88 per night at CP Grande Villas, and about $85 per night at the Vistana. I'm torn!!! Any advice you can give would be so appreciated!!!
