Sheraton Vistana Resort Questions/Help!!!

Just had a couple of questions about the Sheraton Vistana Resort.

My boyfriend and I are heading down to Orlando March 9 to the 14th for Spring Break and my Step-mom booked us in the Vistana Resort.

When she called and made the reservation they told her we were booked in a 2 BEDROOM DELUXE, what does this mean? I haven't seen this as a description for their rooms on any of the websites.

I was also wondering what village do you think that we'll be placed, our rate is $259 a night and we are checking in this Friday and staying until Wednesday.

We called and made a request to be in the Cascades or Lakes and also submitted a Diamond Lane form. We'll also be having our baggage checked and be hanging by the pool on Friday afternoon, seeing as our flight gets in at 9 a.m. and check-in isn't until 4.

Since we're getting there so early do you think we have a better chance of being put into a newer unit?

I've not stayed at Vistana yet but am at the end of the month I have tons of print offs about this resort from different threads on here. The only thing I can help you with is a list I got from MiaSRN62 (the Vistana Goddess ) and this is what she says where you can be placed with a friday check-in:

Spas, Palms, Springs, Fountains I or II, Lakes, Cascades

Hope that helps a little bit and that you have a great trip. Hopefully someone else will respond with some more info for you.

with that rate it had better be Cascades or Lakes.

since you are a paying guest - then I think your chances are pretty high.

Thanks so much for your help. Well at least I have a chance of gettng into the Lakes or Cascades.

I leave tomorrow and wish I could have some reassurance before I go that I'm not going to have a horrible experience because of the lodging.

Do you happen to have any literature that mentions a 2-bedroom Deluxe?

The Vistana is nice but there are some old sections that you may not be happy with. I have heard that some of the older bldgs have been redone. That price sounds like it is on the high side.

maybe it is the premium units which definitely means lakes or cascades.

Thanks so much for all of your help, I emailed the diamond lane and asked for a villa in the Cascades or Lakes and non-smoking and they emailed me back and said they don't have non-smoking units but do offer an air-purifier but didn't address my villa request question. hmm...

Also does anyone know if I need to bring my own beach towel? or do they have towels for the pool.

Geez I emailed my requests on the Diamond lane form and I never heard back from them. Wonder if I should do it again, or maybe call? I don't think you need beach towels you'd have towels in your room you could use. I've never been to a resort like that that I had to bring my own towels.

I also receive an email - one from the system, and another one from a person.

you know I forgot to mention my allergy to tobacco.... oh boy and the resort is filled - going next week....

Really, they aren't non-smoking?!?!? Oh, that is not good.
