Has anyone stayed at the Sheraton Suites in Lexington, KY before? I am taking a road trip in a few weeks and want to stay at Starwood properties because I have enough points for a few free nights. There is also a Four Points by Sheraton in Lexington that we could try. Any opinions about these hotels? Thanks for your help!

I have stayed there once...it was ap retty nice place if i remember correctly. And I will double check this, but my cousins stayed there last month as love it there..only place they will stay in Lexington!

Thats the Suites you mentioned by the way....the first one you mentioned.

Hey! I live about 15 minutes from Lexington!

You said "road trip". Just passing through? Going down I-75? I'm not sure of the exact location of Sheraton Suites. I think the Four Points is by I-75 though.

I'm not sure what budget you are on, but there is an Embassy Suites by I-75 at Newtown Road (same location as Four Points) and although I haven't stayed there, I love Embassy Suites. It's new, maybe a little more than a year old. The setting is really nice, countryside, pastures all around.

Don't know if I helped you much. Good luck!

Thank you everyone for your help!! I booked a room at the Suites, it sounds like it will be great. We are just passing through Lexington on our way to Norfolk, Virginia. My brother-in-law just found out he is being sent back to Iraq for a year at the end of August and we want to tell him goodbye. I hope its an enjoyable drive (especially with 4 kids), I have never been that way before.

Thank you again for responding! I knew that my fellow DISers would be able to help me.

Hope you have a safe trip and enjoy some quality time with your brother-in-law. That is very kind of you to go visit him before he has to leave.

Like I PM'd you, I love your avitar! Go Hawks!

Um... get a TV for the car. I had one for a five and a half hour drive to Oklahoma City and my two year old did not make a peep!

I drove with my parents to Washington DC from Kansas City and it was pretty in West Virginia. Anything beats the plains of Kansas, so if you have done that you can only have a better time going east!
