Has anyone stayed here? We're thinking of doing a theater trip next year and were wondering what this hotel was like. Thanks

I stayed there a few years ago, not with DVC. It was very nice. We had a one bedroom suite. I felt that it was in a good central location so we were able to get to anywhere in Manhattan pretty easily. I'm not sure if it's worth it to use points to go there. I know when we went we got a really good rate. That was a few years ago though.

I haven't stayed at that hotel but I have stayed at an apartment in the same neighborhood. It's a nice area (lot of residential apartment buildings), it's quite close to Broadway (probably 10 minutes to 42nd street), very close to Macy's and Penn Station. While I don't know if it's worth the points, you might want to check a website like hotel.com to see what the going room rate is. I wouldn't hesitate to stay in that area.

I stayed there once using the points...i think the room rate is only around $300 and it cost me I think about 42 points for 1 night...we went to a show and dinner..it was great..it was a short cab ride to the theaters..i had a 1 bedroom suite..it was a nice 1 night getaway with the wife...i didnt buy the 10$ cashews they had in the room...i wasnt using th points for anything else so it was worth it to me...

Thanks everyone.. we'll probably try to find a good rate for this rather than use points, but ... if other plans change and we have points in danger of expiring it will be points. In the past we've stayed at the big hotels and would like to find something quieter and a bit more personal. Sounds like this would be a good option for us. We've also gotten spoiled with DVC having that addtional space and the frig -- so this sounds like a nice alternative. Thanks again for all your comments and help
