She said it wouldn't be boring!-WONDER WB Caribbean cruise - Bonus Posts Wrap up

Ditto to everyone else. The costumes are perfect, and you both look adorable in your pictures. Fran really got into character. It was perfect.

Poor Lucifer

I hope I'm not jumping in between updates but I think I'm safe with it being the end of a day.

I LOVE your and Fran's outfits!!! You guys really got in the spirit, you look fabulous! And the characters are too cute in their different outfits too. Great photos!

I think I remember the banana bread being quite tasty. But I know how it is to compare to your own.

Lucifer didn't get treated well this trip that's for sure.

Nope! You're good!

I thought her Dalmation costume was totally cute! I'll have to try the banana bread next time. I remember that I was a little queasy at the beginning of dinner, but I drank lots of water and that helped.

No Lucifer was not treated well at all. I hope that our next steward has a better handle on him!

That is very neat that the guests are all dressed up in costumes after Halloween. Your costumes are very nice as well as your pictures with Mickey and Minnie.

Parrot Cay menu looks very interesting and the food porn looks nice.

Sorry about Lucifer that didn't get treated well.

The guests did go pretty all out, it was fun. Yeah, I might bring Marie next time. Lucifer is kind of put out!

OMG, Love your costumes! Fran is the cutest dalmatian ever! Parrot Cay's banana bread is fabulous...I don't remember nuts in it. I always ask for extra. :)

Isn't she cute? I don't think she would have been so cheery if we hadn't rested for most of this day. OK, next time on the Wonder I will try the bread.

Now pouring that tequila sauce over ice cream sounds good!

Dang that family really went all out with the Alice theme. And of course, I love the Jack and Sally picture. I was confused by her face for a sec, and didn't know why she had her eyes closed, but I see what she did there.

My favorite picture of you and Fran is the one with Donald!

That prime rib looks really juicy. Glad it turned out good for you guys, considering you're the master at prime rib.

Yeah, it sounds good! We just need to get better and have some guests who will appreciate it.

Yeah, a lot of the guests went all out for the pictures.

The Prime Rib was good, I love it when I can eat good Prime Rib that I didn't have to cook.

Love love love love love Fran as the Dalmatian! Her posing as a pup is soon cute. :thumbsup2

You look great too and that dress is quite pretty. And for $8? you like made money.

Dinner looks yum as usual. :lovestruc

Poor Lucifer. :rotfl2: :lmao:

I know, the pictures are precious! It’s bittersweet with how bad she feels right now. I couldn’t believe how well that dress fit and it was pretty flattering, as far my figure goes. :lmao:

You and Fran look fantastic in your costumes. I'm not surprised that Fran got stopped for pictures. I would have totally done so too.
That's a great dress you have on. What a great bargain it was.

The food looks interesting. I think I would have done the Prime Rib as well.

Poor Lucifer!

These were some pretty good costumes! I don’t know how we’ll top it next year, if Disney does the same sort of Halloween Celebration in October. The Prime Rib was good. Lucifer definitely needed more love this trip!

Ditto with everyone else- those costumes are great! We thought the Parrot Cay meal was definitely the weakest of the bunch.

Thanks! :goodvibes

If Disney can get people to pay $60 per person to dress up at a Halloween party in early September, of course they can get people on a cruise to do it 4 days late. :rotfl2:

Your costumes look great. Looks like you saw some other very good ones that night too.

Dinner, as always, looks very good. I'm glad the prime rib didn't disappoint.

You do have a point! There were definitely some great costumes going on that night. I was glad that the Prime Rib was good. So often I am disappointed, especially since I can cook it to a perfect Medium Rare.

You guys looked really great in your costumes! There was one of Fran by herself that I especially liked because of the smile on her face. She looked like a little kid again. I guess that was a little bit of the Disney :wizard: magic :wizard: at work. :thumbsup2 You looked really great in that dress, too!

I really wish that I could see her smile like that now. We have been sick for the last two weeks and she had to stop her arthritis drugs due to the illness. Life has not been happy around here. Thanks! I wish more of my clothes looked that good on me!

OMG, Allison!!! I absolutely LOVED the costume pics! So adorable! You looked great in your costume! Fran cracked me up...I was LOL because it was so fabulous how her facial expressions got in character! :rotfl:

She definitely did great with her character photos! I would love to see her back in that same mindset again!

Wow what a deal on your costume. The pics are adorable.

Thanks!

I hope that the antibiotics are doing the trick for Fran. Good luck with insurance and no co-pay. 2500 oh my.

Well it’s not no co-pay, we just don’t know how much of it they will pay. But now she’s saying she doesn’t want to take this drug. She wants to go with an infusion based drug. However, the drug study doesn’t open until March so we have to find something to get her through which will probably be the pills.

Love your outfits. Lol re Dalmatian on a scooter. I think Fran should visit Costco like this see folks do a double take. We are no fan of 'bits' in our bread either. Leave our loaf alone! We asked for plain rolls on the end only.

The prime rib looked good. Shame about them holding back on crab. I love crab. Looking forward to reading about your day at sea.

Ha! I can’t see her visiting Costco in that costume. :rotfl2:

Forgot to mention that I was also horrified that poor Lucifer was upside down!!!

I know! He didn’t get treated very well this trip!

So excited to read your latest report. I'm all caught up now and I had been looking forward to sitting down and reading while on Christmas break. Life has been so busy that I have yet to get started on my own report but I so, so enjoy your reports. Loving this one! Where are you two off to next for adventures?

Our next trip is in April to WDW, we are taking one of our friends, Naked Jim from earlier in the report. We have a week at VWL and then Fran and I are taking our first cruise on the Dream.

Ditto to everyone else. The costumes are perfect, and you both look adorable in your pictures. Fran really got into character. It was perfect.

Poor Lucifer

Thank you, she really had fun that night. I’d like to see her that happy again right now.

Eat, Cruise, Eat More
----------------------------------------------------------

Isn’t that what you do on a Cruise? Well it seems like that’s what we did. Fran even bought me a shirt to reflect that statement.

Today we either didn’t wake up on the side of the ship with the Sunrise or we just missed it completely. We woke up slowly as we didn’t have to be anywhere until 10:00AM. Here is the Navigator. We didn’t pay much attention to it, as our day was pretty much booked solid already.

Originally when we went to bed, we had planned to go to the Atrium and meet Belle while she was there between 9-10AM, but instead we chose to stay in bed and chill out. Where did we have to be at 10:00AM? Well it was our last day on the cruise, last day at sea…what only happens on Sea Days? Palo Brunch of course!

We arrived right on time for Brunch, and our Host started to seat us. I did something that made for a slightly awkward situation, but it also made for a very pleasant situation. On our last Cruise on the Wonder, we had a wonderful server. I couldn’t remember his name, but I know that it was almost all consonants. I asked the host about him, and his name is Hristo. And he was working that day, he asked if we wanted him as our server or the server we had the other night.

I didn’t want to make that decision, so we asked the host to choose for us. He chose Hristo, and he remembered us from the cruise almost two years prior! He made it a very memorable experience, and I will have to remember to request him as our server when we are on the Wonder in May.

We were seated at a nice table with a view.

And he brought me a very nice Cappucino to go along with my Prosecco.

Now he knew we had been there before, but he still insisted on giving us the tour of the buffet. First were the salads, fruits and vegetables.

Antipasto

Ahi Tuna, I love the little Bloody Marys, and other seafood bites.

The King Crab legs are just wonderful!

[Continued from Previous Post]

There were breads, butters, cheese, and jams and jellies

There was the pastry section.

Then he took us over to the entrees that are cooked to order. I really wanted one of each, but I just don’t have that kind of appetite.

And of course we can’t forget dessert!

[Continued from Previous Post]

Before we began on our Culinary Adventure, we all took a photo together.

This was Fran’s first plate.

And she had Hristo bring her one of these right off the bat.

This was my first plate.

And I had a glass of Sancerre to accompany my brunch.

Strawberry Soup #2 for Fran

And another trip to the buffet.

She also visited the pastry section.

I on the other hand moved on to my favorite, the Chicken Parmesan.

She got an order of the Pancakes.

And we decided to split a Pepperoni and Sausage Pizza.

We couldn’t finish the pizza, and opted to move on to dessert next.

But Fran snuck in one more of the Strawberry Soups.

While I picked up a second round of dessert. (We split all of these BTW).

And with that we wrapped up our Palo Brunch! Even if we could have eaten any more, we were running late for our next activity. Fran stayed behind to pick up the check while I ran ahead to reserve our place!

WOW! The Palo Brunch is FANTASTIC. Desserts look great and I'm salivating right now. Wish I could taste some of it.

I think I would eat, (not) cruise, and then eat some more. :thumbsup2

How lovely to get Hristo as your server. I think you're definitely going to remember his name now.

Love the pictures of the buffet! It seems that there were quite a lot of different desserts from my two visits to Palo Brunch on the Wonder. Seems like they updated the selections!

Seems like the host made a good choice in assigning you to Hristo! :thumbsup2

I hope the two of you feel better soon!

I am counting on TWO Palo branches on my PC Repo. And some evil friends have lured me into a four day on the Dream in November. So three trips to Palo in the next 14 months. Le SIGH!!!!

I'm drooling over all the goodies at Palo. I have to wait another year before we can partake.

Oh Palo brunch droollll... Actually Palo anything! The Brunch looks wonderful and how nice to get your server making the experience even more special. Those pastries are fabulous. Any stolen bread? My word it's the best I ever tried. and that sticky sauce under the cloche that has some kind of bun in it. Out of this world. The pizza looks good! Lovely photo of you all.

What did Fran decide about the med?

Oh the brunch looks amazing. So much to choose from. I would have been stuffed.

So... Did Fran like the Strawberry soup??? :lmao:

That is certainly quite the spread. I'd have to be rolled out of there. :rotfl2: I'm glad you had a nice brunch, and that's neat that you got to have Hristo as your server, and that he remembered you!

Holy cow...I could go for Palo brunch right now! I'm drooling! Was there any strawberry soup left for anyone else? ;)

Jill in CO

Holy food pictures Batman! These meals look like quite the decadent spread! Lots that looks really tasty, and also a lot that looks like stuff I would never eat. :rotfl2:

I gotta say, the dalmatian pictures are hysterical. Nice work! :rotfl:

Alison, I absolutely LOVED your pics! I LOVED, LOVED, LOVED Palo and it was so fun revisiting it through your photos. I reminisced about it through your food porn with DH! We can't get enough of the seafood and I can't help but get seconds with dessert! YUMMMMMMYYYY! :cloud9:

Woo Hoo - finally caught up again!

I love the Halloween Costumes!!!! And all the Palo pictures...yum :goodvibes

Chocoloate Tequila...interesting. I like the idea off it being over ice cream ::yes::

I have been holding off thinking too much about our upcoming cruise but I guess now that we are in the same year (2015), I can start getting excited about being back on the Wonder again :thumbsup2

Loving your TR pixiedust:. Thanks for sharing you and your wife's adventures with us :drive:
