We had a band here in Palm Beach County a couple hours ago. I opened my front door and watched it go through. It got extremely windy! I then shut the door. Winds here were reported at 60-70 miles/hr.. I never lost power though. So far it's been worse here than where my family is in South Brevard County.
Getting hit by Frances myself Faith. Keep safe up there in the north part of the county.
I already have an electrical problem that FPL hasn't responded to and now the hurricane. Wonder if I will ever get full power. My PC and sound system are toast as well as one tty system. Can't run other equipment such as washer and dryer. Electrician has already checked house and says it is at the pole. Yuck! I am frustrated and Frances is making it worse.
My power went out for about, oh, 3 Hours!!! Called FPL and told them the storm wasn't here yet, why are my lights out? They said that there was 53 pf us on the same grid, and power would be back up soon.....So, me and DH and DS went out to dinnner.....and discovered a NEW place to eat, an Italian Resteraunt that is open untill tomorrow. So, we just got home about 25 min ago, and the LIGHTS ARE ON!! YAY! So, I will be checking in periodically, if the lights stay on, and thanking you all for your kind thoughts.
