Sharpie Deal

Just called & got a message that if you are calling about the Sharpie offer, it is no longer valid. The least they could have done was waited out the day since it expires today. :sad2:

Wish I had read this earlier. I've been on hold for the last 15 min. waiting for customer service. There was no message that the deal is no longer valid.

i'm really surprised that staples didn't block the many people placing multiple orders (there are ppl on all the deal sites braging about how many they placed despite the coupon saying one per household).
the offer probably would still be available if staples screened orders more carefully, and/or some ppl were less greedy :confused3

btw, i placed one order (for dd's stocking.). if it comes, great!!
if not, on to the next deal :)

People who placed mutilple orders will most likely get an email later saying the additional orders were cancelled if they used the same address. We don't have a way to just not let them place the order, only cancel them after it has been downloaded.

I don't know why people take advantage of deals like that. I only ordered one set of Sharpies. Not that it wasn't tempting to order more, but I knew that wasn't right. Staples should have come up with a way to stop that though. Sorry you didn't get in on the deal.
 

I placed an order earlier today. About 3 hours after I ordered I received an email that 1 item was not available. I called customer service and added another item to make the total $25. She said everything looked good and put the coupon through for me. 6 hours later I received another email saying another item was unavailable. I guess I will return the items that are shipped once the come in.
 
I emailed customer service and they appologized that the code didn't work and credited my credit card. No problems at all. Got a big set of the retractable tip sharpies, fun!!!

Yes, it is too late. The offer was only good through yesterday, however it looks like they stopped it before the day ended.

It looks like my order did ship and should be delivered today. I hope everyone here also gets their Sharpies!

I ordered some early on Monday morning (like 8 am est) and ended up calling becuase the coupon wouldn't work only to get 2 separate e-mails stating my items weren't available. I had high hopes to use these as teacher gifts (I'm putting together a gift basket full of stuff). Oh Well. :sad2:
 
I got an e-mail yesterday that all but one of my items came in (lady on the ohone said none would come.) I was waiting to see if my credit goes though, so far it had not. If ot I will just return it all.
 
Does the store call you when your order is in?

I ordered the sharpies and the batteries, but in 2 different orders so I had them delivered to the store.

They should both be in by the end of today, but Staples isn't that close to me, so I hate to drive out there if they aren't there.

I got a call from the store last night that mine were in. I told her that I would pick them up on saturday ( since the closest Staples is 30 min away). Not a problem, she just said to bring an i.d.. I thought that was kind of funny since it was on an order that cost me 1.06.

The thought of multiple orders never even crossed my mind. I was ecstatic about just getting one of these deals. Sometimes people are too greedy imo.
 
Check your statements!

Staples shipped my order to my local store. They were out of stock for 2 items, so they scrapped them, and then that dropped my balance below $25, so they took away my coupon and charged me full price for the items I ordered!

I got it fixed, they are shipping my missing items, and crediting my card, but I'm sure I'm not the only person it's happened to....
 
Yeah...I have two charges on my credit card and no refund yet. I need to see what that's all about. lus, no call or email from store yet saying my stuff is there.
 
I picked up my sharpies and my Duracell batteries yesterday!

While I was there I saw Halloween pencils in a pack of 48 for .50. I got 3 packs, one for each kid, but may keep some for Halloween treats for next year.

Still no credit to my account and I picked up my items from the store Tuesday....I'm going to return them if I don't get it by next week.
 
Here is the email that my sis got from Sharpie Customer Service. Note that it seems from this letter that they are only honoring if you placed an order before 10:30am (EST).

Thanks for posting that, my order was places at aabout 7:45am so I assume it should be fine but still no credit. I have not gotten over to pick up my Sharpies that did come (one set missing) nor have I gotten any replay to my 2 e-mails. I am thinking of just returning what I did get and call it a day. I guess maybe I will try to call one more time and ask.
