Wednesday ¡V June 20th ¡V Day # 6:
Today is our Epcot day. We got to the TTC at 8:25 and had to wait for them to open the gates so we could get to the monorail. Got up there and there were people already waiting (even though we were the first ones out of the gate)¡Kthey must have been from the resorts. We didn¡¦t get to ride up front this time like we usually do. Oh well¡K.maybe the ride back.
Got to Epcot and rode the ¡§ball¡¨ first. We always have to do that. Then we headed to Test Track¡Kno wait at all. Wow¡KI love that ride! Our car went 69 mph. Ya-hoo!! º We thought maybe we would get a fast pass to ride it again¡Kbut by the time we got off TT and went over to the fast pass part (it was only 9:30 by then), it was late into the evening before we could ride again¡Kso we decided not to do that.
We went to have our samples of Coke¡K.yuck¡Ksome of them are gross!
Let¡¦s see, then we did Honey I shrunk the kids, Food Rocks (The land had too long of a wait and the kids didn¡¦t want to do that) & then we headed over to the Universe of Energy and Body Wars. That was fun (it was a calm ride compared to Back to the future at Universal). Oh yea¡KI don¡¦t know what it is with this trip¡Kbut when we were at that Universe of Energy about to get into our seats for the ¡§ride¡¨¡Ka boy of around 7 tells his mom his has to use the bathroom¡Kshe said she wasn¡¦t leaving the ride so proceeds to empty a water bottle and when we get in our seats and the lights go down¡Kthe boy pee¡¦s in the bottle (of course they are seated directly behind us)¡K.I don¡¦t know what it is with the peeing around me this trip¡K.but that¡¦s twice now. ¼
Well, it was lunchtime and the countries had opened up so we went and ate at¡K.where else but America! º And we ran into Lisa and Tony again. So we ¡§did lunch¡¨ with them¡Klol! It was very nice!
After that we just kinda walked around the countries for awhile and made our way over to France for the living statues. Man¡Kthey are too funny. I went up to have my picture taken & the statue grabbed my ponytail and wouldn¡¦t let me go. Everyone was laughing as I¡¦m trying to get away. My son went up there (he had a backpack on) and the statue grabbed his BP and had it over his head. We got some good pictures! º
We headed over to watch BLAST. That was great. They really put on a good show. It¡¦s a high-energy band that has dancing, cutting up and they also come out into the audience a lot to play. We had good seats too! If you sitt on the ends, when they come out into the audience¡Kthey will stop and talk to you, etc. º
Well, we were hungry again (we stopped for a snack at the Land for ice cream¡K.yum! I had a Rootbeer float and it was huge).
We ate dinner at the Mexican place (outside) and as luck has it¡Kit was right at the start of the Tapestry of Nations and we were at the beginning and had perfect seats with no one in our way! º That was pure luck.
By now, we are tired and thought we would stay for the Illuminations (it¡¦s around 8:00pm now). Oh yea¡Kit was raining for a good part of the afternoon too. But not enough that we couldn¡¦t move around.
We got to ride upfront with the driver of the monorail on the way back and he gave the kids Copilot licenses to have! That was nice. We did have to wait for a few extra minutes before we left because they had to move a car off the monorail (I found out later that he had gotten struck by lightening or so the monorail driver told us).
Got back to TTC and had to wait and wait and wait for our bus to take us back to FW. We have had the worst luck with buses this trip. From our 900 loop to go to the Settlement depot¡Kyou take the Boone bus and from the settlement depot to your loop you take the Crockett bus. Well, the crockeet buses were telling us, next bus, next bus. Finally Cameron got mad and told the next bus driver to find out what is going on and he called the dispatcher and the dispatcher was aware of it. (We had nothing but problems the whole entire vacation with the bus systems this time).
I also forgotten to mention that I met Plan man too. He is from the boards. I had my green ribbon around our sign that we have at our campsite and he stopped by to say Hello! It was very, very nice to meet him! º
