Good morning, Sharon! :wave:

Keep hanging in there! I know it's got to be so frustrating because you're doing all the right things and the scale is being a big pain in the butt! I'm so proud of you for not giving up after having a few bad days. I know all too well about the emotional eating (had one of those days myself yesterday), and it's so hard to bounce back once you've given in to temptation. Good for you for being strong and coming back to your program! You've come so far, and you're going to reach your goal. Try to think positively...look at how much better you feel about yourself because you're in control of your body and what goes into it. I know you can do it!

Here's hoping that your part of the country realizes it's the middle of March for goodness sake. Tell that snow to go away! :sunny:

I'm soory that you've been having such a rough time these last few days. Emotional eating can be so hard to conquer. Like Marcia said, you aren't off program, and that is huge. you sound much more focused in your last post, and i know you will do well today. I hope weigh in goes well for you.

We Tivo'd AI. I like Latoya and Jasmine. I thought George was very good as well. I didn't like Leah, Matt, or the red head.

Thank you for your support over the last few days. It has helped me tremendously.

Well, I had weigh in this morning. I stayed the same as last week - 174. I guess, considering all that I ate all week and TOM popped in this AM, it really isn't all that bad. If I could somehow manage to reign myself in and get back OP, I would hope to see a whoosh for next week. Heck, I'll even take a get back to where I once was (173). So heres hoping that I at least see 173 next Wed!!!!:smooth:
I was still in my eating mood yesterday. I had more than I should have, but it wasn't really bad....

100 oz water
B- Thomas' LC bagel 2 pts
L- chicken salad on rye, lett, tom, amer cheese, bacon 10 pts
S- string cheese 2 pts, 1/2 bag pretzels 4 pts
D - 2 boneless pork chops, 1/2 cup noodles 9 pts

Total for day 27 pts (22 target, 5 flex)

I need to get back OP and get moving with my exercise. I think if it would warm up and get sunny, that would really help me mentally. All this snow and cloudy days has got me back in winter hibernation mode. :mad: Not too mention, TOM seems to have hit me hard this time. Believe it or not, I'm thinking I might be in the beginning phases of menopause.:rolleyes: We'll have to see what happens the next couple of months with all that woman C**P :o
Okay, I'm off to a good start today! I will try to stay OP and to get some exercise in today. Those are my goals!:crazy:

oh, Marcia - I haven't picked my favorite AI yet either. I think pink haired girl will go tonight. Red haired Frank Sinatra is nice, different, but not tops from this group. Latoya, jasmine, Diana, and George Huff all did GREAT. I like Matt - nice personality, decent voice. Leah didn't do too good last night. We'll see what happens tonight though!:teeth:
 
OH YUCK SNOW SUCKS. WE GOT IT TOO... I can't wait for spring, and then I am just waiting for August.

I think you are being too hard on yourself. How was your day today? Hope your days are getting better even if it is just a little bit at a time.

okay so all this darn snow is making it really hard to be motivated, i know it! so here's some extra :sunny: to help you stay on track. ooh, i just looked out the window, and even though everything is covered in white, the sun is peaking through! what a lovely change. even though i know more snow is coming. drats. and spring is here on what saturday? nothing like the first day of spring and still having snow on the ground :rolleyes:

you did a really good job with your eating tuesday, i don't care what you say. most of your points were spent on "real" food, and your snacks were what we call "healthy" snacks :p . i'm sure you stayed right on track yesterday too ::yes::

Sharon~ Here's some :sunny: for you! I hope the weather gets better soon. I know you can get back on plan--you definitely have the power to do so. I'm glad you had a good time in NYC. Don't fret the weight. I think you did well considering everything. I know you'll see at least 173 next Wed. and hopefully with you getting back OP and the whoosh fairy coming for a visit, you'll be even lower. Okay - here I am! I've been pretty busy these last few day. However, i have been pretty okay with my points. Not that it has helped when I peeked at the scale, but I am trying. I am still not in the mood to stay OP. This snow is driving me nuts!!! It has been snowing for 3 days now!:mad: PLEASE send spring to the Northeast!!!!!:(
Okay - here is yesterdays details

100 oz water
B- Bagel w/ margarine 3 pts
L- string cheese 2 pts, roast beef on rye with spinach and lt mayo 5.5 pts
D- chicken soup 2 pts, popcorn 4 pts
S - peanuts 4 pts

Total was 20.5 (target 22, so I'm good - I can finally roll my bear again!)
It was a real struggle to stay within those points yesterday. Today is even worse. I am stuck at home with the 2 kids - no school because of SNOW!!!!!!:mad: Not too much needs to be done today and I have very little motivation. I want to EAT! :bounce: But I'm trying very hard to not give in to temptation. I am also going to haul my butt upstairs to do some exercise later. I haven't done any since I don't know when. I must get back on track with that!!!:rolleyes:
I really think that when the warm weather comes back and the :sunny: starts to shine, I'll be better. I am just having a really hard time since we had a taste of spring and then it was so rudely taken away!
Thanks for everyones warm thoughts. I WILL make it through this dulldrums that I am in - it is just taking longer than usual for me!::yes::

sharon, i hear ya, this snow is driving me nuts!!! i totally forgot that it was supposed to snow again, and when i got up at 6 to run...it was a bad bad surprise :mad: . nothing like having to clean off your car for the 3rd day in a row...just as spring arrives :rolleyes: . tomorrow. tomorrow is the first day of spring. what the heck kind of joke is mother nature playing on us? i think it is horrible and mean. but ya know what? we should play a joke on mother nature. spread our own :sunny: around, i'm going to do my best to send some your way :sunny:

i know it's going to be hard to stick to your points and not give in to eating since you're stuck in the house all day. it really doesn't help that you don't have anythign to do. maybe you could make up some stuff to do. read a book, watch a movie, or just spend lots and lots of time on the dis :p . i know that for me, reading about my wish buddies' successes helps to keep me motivated and on plan.

today, my obstacle is bread in the kitchen. i know i really don't want it, but i have a tendency to give in to it when it's there. but i have reminded myself that i don't want it, i don't need it, and eating it is giving in to boredom. maybe you could join me in this mini challenge today - food is not the answer to boredom! do you have any flavored tea in the house? apple cinnamon herbal tea and raspberry flavored green tea have been staples for me lately, and they really seem to satisfy my need when i feel like i need something with a "taste" in my mouth. like, when water just isn't enough. sweeten with splenda, and voila! or if you want to snack, make sure you snack on zero point veggies! i know you're not a huge veggie fan, but it's jsut a suggestion :tongue:

okey dokey sharon, you can do this today! just today, no worries about any other day. i'll try to check back in with you later to see how it's going. i hope that you enjoy your day at home, and here's some more of that lovely :sunny: that seems to be so lacking lately! :sunny: :sunny: :sunny:

I am thinking I REALLY want New England clam chowder for dinner tonight. I have been on a soup kick for the last 2 days with this weather..... Gotta look up how many points that comes to.....

Hi there! I heard on the news this morning that the thermometer is supposed to cooperate with us next weekend and head upwards! I hope it's true because I think we all need a strong dose of sunshine and warmth here in the North. It has been a long winter. Here's hoping for lots of :sunny: !

You did a great job yesterday staying OP even when you didn't want to. That is a major victory and you should be very proud of yourself! ::yes:: I say just take it one day at a time and do the best you can. Pretty soon, the :sunny: will be shining and the pounds will be melting! Just hang in there, my friend!:hug:

Sharon - how are you doing? I'm definitely ready for spring too. I think we all will feel better about getting in shape once the weather changes and we have to start wearing less clothes.

Were you able to get in some exercise yet? I know you were doing such a good job with it so I know you can get back on track. Maybe you'll be able to find a little time this weekend.

I've been hearing a lot about that goo on the bread around here lately!:p I'm going to have to remember that whenver I get tempted.

I'm so sorry I haven't posted to your journal in such a long time. Tonight I'm making it a point to get to as many of my WISH buddies as I can.

I see you've had a few rough days lately but you seem like you're getting right back in there. You even rolled over your bear, good job! I think in the winter we're less active, but as soon as the sun comes out who wants to be inside after a long, cold winter! Have a great weekend Sharon, take care!:D

Sharon--hope your weekend is going well and that the sun is shining and the kids have 5 days of school this week. :sunny: I promise spring is in its way--I had a long talk with the sun yesterday and sent him east! Now the bad news is it's supposed to be cold here the next two days, which means the sun must have listened and headed out towards you--the bad news, however, is that I'm sure our cold air will follow. Hi everyone! How nice it is to come back to my journal and read all the warm thoughts from all my WISH buddies!!:teeth: Thank you so much for your support - it means the world to me!::yes::

So yesterday, DD had another all day dance competition. It is fun to watch - I can't believe the TALENT that these young girls have!! But it is also a very long day. We left the house at 6:15 AM. I returned at 5:15 PM. DD got a ride home with a friend at about 10:00PM - and the competition STILL wasn't over!:earseek: They probably wrapped up about midnight! Long day! The good thing was it was at a school - so nothing to tempt me. We ran out for lunch and I had 3/4 of a chicken salad club sandwich, then nothing till dinner. No cheating or snacking yesterday, so I'm a rolling my bear again!!!:hyper: It seems like I'm back on track with my eating finally. Now I just need to get to that exercise!:rolleyes: It has been 2 entire weeks since I've done any!:eek: I'm REALLY going to try to do it today. Yes, I CAN do it! I know I can!::yes::

Sorry I haven't been to too many journals lately. Between my busy schedule and the DIS locking up on me, I just haven't been able to get to everyone!:( But please know I'm keeping you ALL in my thoughts!! I hope everyone is doing better with staying OP than I have been!:tongue:

So yesterday was:

100 oz water (drank a few water bottles at the competition!)

B - none, who has time to eat at 6:00m AM?!
L- 3/4 of a chicken club sandwich, 10 fries 10 pts
D- ziti with sauce 6 pts
S - peanuts and 1 cookie 5.5 pts

Total 21.5 pts (target 22) I have only used 1 flex point so far this week! My week rolls on Wed morning, so I have 3 days to go on this one. I sure hope I can at least see a pretty 173 on that scale come Wed morning!!!::yes::
Okay, I'm off to do more laudry and house cleaning. I'll try to hit some journals later today too! The sun seems to be out today, so I'll take it! I hope some of this snow melts today!!!:p

i'm so happy that you feel that you're back on track eating-wise. isn't it a nice feeling that puts you at ease? i love feeling totally in control. makes it that much easier. 2 weeks since you've exercised?? is that really possible? sharon, queen of the stepper, hasn't been on that *evil* thing? okay, well, if what you say is true, you had a nice little break. after 2 weeks off, i'm sure your muscles are ready to tackle it again ::yes::

the sun has defintely been out by me, so it shoudl have been by you too :sunny: . all this snow is starting to go away, and i think spring might actually be here!!! :bounce: let's have a big huge celebration :jumping1:

Hi Sharon,

How can the girls dance at midnight, they should be tucked into bed by then. Talk about all day. Actually it sounds like a lot od fun. Good for you getting back on track with your eating.
