Sharon's Journal -150 here I come!

How are the goal setting going? I have been thinking about doing the same for myself. I hope you managed to get into Curves today.

Okay, Tues went very well. I did get to Curves after work Tues!::yes:: I am very happy I was able to work that in. I alos checked with the sitter and she said staying an extra 1/2 hour on Tuesdays shouldn't be a problem. So going forward looks good as well.

Yesterday we all played hookie and went to the Big E (it is like a state fair, but for all of the New England states). It seemed like we ate our way through - I was constantly stuffed. But when I got home and thought about it, I realized I didn't do as bad as I originally thought. Plus, walking for 8 hours straight was a big help.:crazy:

Today I am back with my plans. I brought my clothes to go to Curves again after work. (DH gets home early on Thur, so I don't have to worry about the kids.) I have oatmeal, yogurt and soup with me, so no reason to go off plan foodwise. Looks like it will be a good day!:teeth:

The weekend went pretty well. I was constantly hungry on Saturday, but I tried to make good choices at least. Sunday I was much better - really stayed on plan. Did manage to get a workout at Curves on Friday. Only made it there 2 times last week. I WILL do better this week.

My goals for October are:
1) Food - no cheating 25 out of 31 days
2) Vitamin - every day
3) Water - 60 oz per day
4) Exercise - 12 days (3 times a week)

I think if I meet these goals, I should see some results on the scale and measurements. They took my measurements when I started Curves and will do them again after 4 weeks.

The scale this morning had me down 1.5 lbs. I am happy about that, but I am known to flucuate by that much on a daily basis. But down on a Monday morning is always a good thing for me!:smooth: I plan on going to Curves Tues, Wed and Friday this week. I have oatmeal, yogurt, soup and a whole wheat wrap with turkey and roast beef with me today. I won't eat it all today:crazy: , but it leaves me some options.

That's all for today. I'm off to conquer my desk!!:earseek:

Hey Sharon,
You are back on track. Don't worry about Saturday. I think if you have the hungries it is better to do what you did and make good choices than starve yourself through them. Weekends can be so hard.
Good luck meeting those goals. They seem very realistic. I know you can do it!

Yesterday was a very good day! I wasn't very hungry, which is always a good thing. I actually kept my points to 18.5 (I'm allowed 24, so that is amazing!) I just wish I could do that well each and every day!:rolleyes:

Goals for the month to date:
1) Food - no cheating 4/4
2) Vitamin - 4/4
3) water - 3/4
4) exercise - 1/12 (goal here is to go to Curves 12 times)

So I am on track and off to a good start for October. Scale was still saying nice things this AM, so I am hoping I will be on a roll with this recommittment!::yes:: When I stay OP, meet my goals, thus seeing the scale move, it really inspires me to keep going.

Yesterday and so far today have gone well. I went to Curves after work yesterday. Can't go today because I have to pick DS up from an after school playdate. I will go tomorrow after work!::yes::

Goals are looking very pretty!
1) No cheat 5/5
2) vitamin 5/5
3) water 4/5
4) exercise 2/12

I am still feeling positive and committed to this WOL. I hope that I am correct in thinking that Curves will be the turning point for me. So many others I know have had such success, I have high hopes it will work for me as well. :smooth:

Another good day is in the books and today is lookin good too!:smooth: I only hope that I can hold it together through the weekend - that is where I REALLY have issues! :rolleyes:

Okay - I'm back. Didn't have a chance to post this weekend. We were running around as usual..... :rolleyes:

I ended up having a bad day Thursday. DD had some problems that really stressed me and I ended up using the food crutch. :mad: I knew exactly what I was doing while I did it and just didn't care! Anyhow, I recovered nicely on Friday and ended up doing fairly well over the weekend, all things considered.

I am still amazed how if I go off plan for even a day, I manage to gain about 3 lbs. Then it takes me about 3 or 4 days to undo the damage. How come it goes back on so quickly, but not off so quickly????:confused: Oh well, need to remember that the next time I want to cheat!!!:Pinkbounc

2) Vitamin 11/11
3) Water 10/11
4) exercise 3/12

Because of the issues I was having with DD, I didn't get to Curves on Thur. No more letting things get in my way though! I need to "Just Do It!" ::yes:: Clothes are with me for my workout tonight on my way home. I've got a fat free corn muffin for breakfast, soup for lunch. It will be a good day!!:teeth:

Hi Sharon,

I think that emotional eating will always be something that most of us stuggle with for the rest of our lives. That sounds depressing, but think of all the progress you have made. Think of the 5 times you didn't turn to food, when in the past you would have. You also got right back on program. That is really impressive. None of us is perfect, we just do the best we can on a given day.
