My window opened today! We're going during free dining, and I was so nervous about not getting what I wanted when I wanted! But we got everything but 'Ohana....what is it with this place? Is it really that good? Is it worth the "fight" to get a ressie??

Aug 25: wanted 'Ohana, no availability...working on it still

Aug 26: Princess Storybook dining lunch time

Aug 27: Crystal Palace breakfast

Aug 28: Tusker House breakfast
Whispering Canyon dinner

not taking advantage of free dining because we're using a room code.

I am pretty excited about our meals. I had to switch a few days and couldn't get 50's Prime Time Cafe for the first night, but that's ok. I'll keep trying. Here's what we have so far!

I surprisingly got through right away and got the times pretty much that I wanted! I'm excited!

Our TA made our ADR's for us on 5-24...I had last day of school awards and fun day Friday 5-22, baked 2 dozen cupcakes, decorated had a bday party for DD (6 now) and cleaned up on 5-23 so I knew I really didn't want to get up at 7 am on 5-24 to call and make ADR's. So DH convinced me to loosen the iron planning grip and let her do it I'm glad I did after hearing all the stories about long hold times and low availability. We got everything we wanted except Mama Melrose F! package (didn't want BD or H&V but could have gotten BD) on 9-25 and we got Chef Mickey's during Spectro on 9-22 She even called back later and was able to get better ADR times that earlier when she booked them online. So....

9-22 Artist Point 5:40 pm instead of 9:05 pm Chef Mickey's
9-23 'Ohana 8:05 pm dinner
9-24 Coral Reef lunch 11:50 (wanted dinner or lunch)
9-25 nothing wanted MM F! package, may still call for cxl later and try
9-26 Happily ever after 1900 Park Fair dinner 5:00 pm
9-27 OOP 'Ohana for DH and I 10th Anniversary dinner (he picked)
9-28 CP breakfast 8:10 am & Cape May Cafe dinner 5:35 pm

In all, everyone got their most wanted meal, we all wanted 'Ohana on 9-23 and CM on 9-22 but overall I'm very happy. I'll probalby keep trying for MM F! package and CM and cxl Artist Point if I can get both. That's the only changes I would make

I'll actually be staying 7/30-8/5 and booked the morning of the 90 day window. I was a little disappointed that some restaurants already had reservations due to the 90+10 rule and two nights my party of 7 will be split up.

Called this morning for ADRs and got mostly what I wanted...had to move some things around from my original requests. Just called again tonight to add on & my requests were available.

August 19th- Ohana (My birthday), 8:50 so we can view "Wishes" hopefully. It's my favorite

We're a big party of 12 so I'm excited

What about the breakfast at 'Ohana with Stitch? Or WCC? 'Ohana has the character aspect and WCC is supposed to be really fun. Not sure how popular they are (never done either) but they were our 2nd choice meals on a couple of days.

I may do some changes, I originally planned SOA dinner for our last night as something special, but that leaves us 1 oop dinner. There is 5 of us and that one oop would add up, so thinking of cancelling SOA and going with a one table credit dinner?
Maybe a TS at AKL (boma) or ohana dinner instead....also thought about Raglan Rd?
Our first trip in 10 years!!! waaaay overdue and looking forward to ever second of my trip

I'm pretty excited, the only thing we wanted and didn't get was the T-rex place, but that left an opening for Reglan road which I know my husband will love.
I called at 7 Monday and got right through. I was sort of shocked after spending months waiting and reading about everybody having waits and all sorts of troubles

Funny you should say that because ...
The UG to WDW crowd calendar (online) said a few months ago that this week was '7's with a couple of '8's, but the last update has the whole week @ '6's.

(I'm hoping that by July it will be '5's. )

I know, but a DISer can dream.
