Sharing meals Quick service - or places with separate sides? Rules?

I believe most places in Canada call them Chicken Burgers. While some places have the mechanically separated chicken formed into a patty, others have a real breast of chicken. I will only eat the real thing a chicken breast on a bun. I always make sure it's the real thing when ordering.

At the airport last year, I ordered a Chicken Burger (real breast) from BK. I waited and waited and waited. I finally asked if they messed it up by adding sauce and had to redo it. Nope, I was told it was too healthy and they didn't have any out.

Then again, a biscuit in New Zealand is a cookie in America - funny old differences!

And I've seen in the US biscuits that are more like scones. Served with sausage gravy. True story!

Fellow Kiwi, I've been to Disneyland 3 times but first trip this year to Disney World. Our family would usually share 3 QS meals between the 4 of us, sometimes with an extra side ordered. We found a meal each would always be too much.

Most places that serve fries will sell just an order of it. All you have to do is ask.

If someone wants just the burger (or sandwich, or whatever we're calling it on this thread), without the fries, just say "hold the fries, please" and they'll take them off. Usually they'll take a couple of dollars off the bill as well.

And to make this burger/sandwich debate more confusing. A burger is a sandwich, but a sandwich isn't necessarily a burger You even said it yourself:



the hamburger patty is filling... BAM, sandwich!

Any self-respecting American knows that a burger on a bun is a burger but a burger on bread is a patty melt, as long it's a cheeseburger.
