Sharing Magic Maker

It's kind of a long way out, but I'm going to Disney this December with a friend. We'll be there from the 5th-12th.

My friend's mom and aunt are also going to Disney, but they'll be there about a month before us, November 4th-9th.

What I would like to know is if we would be able to split a Memory Maker between these two groups, and how to go about it.

I've read about people sharing MM before, but pretty much all the ones I read were of people that were on the same trip, just separate reservations. Would it work the same way? Or are our trips too far apart to share MM?

Any info/insight would be great!

When you buy memory maker it works for 1 month at the Disney Parks and has to be on the same account. We have done this with friends who we have added to our account but we were on the same trip. If they start using memory maker on the 4th of November, then the Memory maker would expire on the 4th of December. So most likely, there probably isn't a way for separate trips to share the same memory maker.

That's not actually how it works. The 30 day clock doesn't start ticking until you download your first picture. As long as the friend's aunt and mom don't start downloading pictures until November 12, it will cover the December trip. The thing to keep in mind though is that pictures get deleted from MM 45 days after they're taken, which means that pictures taken on November 4 would get deleted December 19.

Yes. Being the owner just means that your friend's mom is the only one who can make edits to the photos and is the only one who can do the downloads. You and your friend just need to be on her mom's Friends and Family list.

That is good to know! The cast member that we spoke to on the phone told us this for our last trip but we have two trips coming up as well that are a little over a month apart so I will definitely try this!
