They'll split the check for you. These changes have me considering the DDP plan again after swearing off it for several years. Does anyone know if I will be able to pay for some of the meals via DDP credits and the other meals with my Tables In Wonderland card discount on the same check?

Me too! We stopped purchasing the regular DDP years ago. We decided to purchase the dxddp because of the change in policy. If we weren't allowed to use the credits on our party members not on the ddp then we would have stuck to paying out of pocket. These changes have me considering the DDP plan again after swearing off it for several years. two different transactions. Have you considered doing all your meals with the TiW?These changes have me considering the DDP plan again after swearing off it for several years. I haven't followed on the Dining board but has there been any RECENT update from that location or is this based on info from last spring or before? There is no official policy. You might get different answers in different restaurants. It has been established that at Via Napoli credit sharing is not permitted at all (meaning you can't use one credit to order a meal and then share it with party members who didn't order anything). Other places, maybe, maybe not. Same with using your credits for people not in your party.
The line from the 2015 brochure that said only those on the plan could redeem credits (or however it was phrased) has been removed from the 2016 brochure. It still says that dining cards are not "transferable."I haven't followed on the Dining board but has there been any RECENT update from that location or is this based on info from last spring or before?
That was my understanding, I guess I was asking if there was any 2016 denials at this restaurant. Anything else really doesn't tell us anything and even if there are, it could be they just haven't caught up.The line from the 2015 brochure that said only those on the plan could redeem credits (or however it was phrased) has been removed from the 2016 brochure. Maybe I misunderstood but I thought we were discussing sharing of credits, not meals. That's another issue and I wouldn't have expected that to have changed related to this issue.Via Napoli still does not allow guests to order one meal with a dining credit and then share it...that is still being reported and recently. I don't know if they will allow guests to use dining credits to buy meals for persons who are not on their dining plan. Via Napoli is generally very strict with dining credits.

Doubtful since the base rule has changed at least for 2016 but effectively May, 2015. As I acknowledged in the previous post, I wouldn't be surprised if employees didn't know and gave the wrong information. The post above yours documents they were allowed to use more adult credits than on their plan.I think that for VIa Napolu the answer would be the same. No sharing period. Not credits, and not meals....not when you are on the DDP. We were there in AUgust and the server was very clear. WE were all on a DDP, but 1/2 our party was DxDDP. WE were told we could only order the number of appetizers that was designated for DxDDP room.
To add to the confusion, we will be a party of five, 3 adults and 1 child and an infant, one of the adults is actually only 7 but we've upgraded her to b a Disney adult so she can eat adult meals as she loves food and likes to experience different tastes. My question is this, if at a buffet meal say Hollywood and vine, we asked to use two adult credits and two child credits would they let us do it, or would we need to use a adult credit for the 7 year old as she will be registered with Disney as an adult on the plan? Would then mean her adult credit could b used for our middle child to get an adult meal at a different restaurant later on if she prefered the food options on the adult menu. Hope that question makes sense. Thanks
No, we were made to follow exactly the terms of each plan. If I articulated it badly, I'm sorry. Via Napoli adheres to the word. Other restaurants allowed us to " mix and match" but not this oneDoubtful since the base rule has changed at least for 2016 but effectively May, 2015. Ah ok thanks. I just assumed because they had now made it that you can use your dining credits for anyone including those not on your reservation, that we could just show them her passport or something to show she is actually only 7, and therefore request to use a Childs dining credit on her. Its no biggy though, as the main thing is her being able to choose her food and getting the more adventurous food she likes .No, you'll be charged 4 credits and only 1 of them will be a child credit. You can ask, but I don't think they have any way to do that. This is one of the drawbacks of upping a child to adult for DDP purposes. It's great for a la carte, but it seems like a loss at a buffet.
Maybe you were but that doesn't mean it was correct, it appears it isn't now and sandaled posted they were able to use for 6 adults with only 4 adults on the plan. No, we were made to follow exactly the terms of each plan.
