Just wondering if anyone can give me an idea of the sort of discounts available to Shareholder's. I've checked Eurodisney SCA but it doesn't give a definitive answer which makes me think that it varies :confused3
Probably looking around July time or Half term week in October or do you only get discounts during off peak seasons.
Waying up the pros and cons of having shares for my birthday or putting the money towards a package. We don't have AP's so I have to bear in mind the cost of those as well.
Thanks for any advice, suggestions. :)

I can't help but I was wondering about this too!

I am a shareholder and I believe it is 10% discount on a package but I don't know about room only. I was told when I booked for last year that the package price was discounted by 10%. I've checked my booking for room only for this October and no discount is shown.
I am paying 367.12 for four Adults (Me, DH, DD & DS) four nights B&B at the Cheyenne in October half term if that is any help.
I was happy with that price as Expedia showed limited availability for the dates I wanted and holiday Inn was coming up at more than that.

That's funny
I am waiting so much to get the shares certificate from Caceis so i can join the club and book a package with the Shareholders discount and you say it is better wth expedia???
When is Half term in October btw?

Thanks for the information Rosie you are a star ! I didn't know that you could book a package as a Shareholder, that's even more beneficial to us as I don't particularly want AP's. The official site is not working again at the moment  but I had already had a quote from the site for 2 adults and 2 children, for £745.00 at the Cheyenne.
Am I right in thinking your children benefit from the under 7's free offer ? Mine are older so I would expect it to be a bit more, but a 10% saving sounds really good to me for the initial Shareholder's outlay, added to the other discounts and Salon Mickey. :thumbsup2

That is good that it is 10% all the time now, as it used to be 5% during peak times & 10% the rest of the year.

Giulia I'm sorry if my post was unclear, I meant that by booking through the sharholders club I got the Hotel and dates I wanted. Expedia could only offer Newport Bay room only. Half term for my part of England is 27th - 31st October.

Jill my children are 11 and 13 so they are both Adults! We will be buying APs when we visit in August using the 15% shareholder discount. We are going for a week in August (thanks Tesco!) and four nights in october so we will be better off with APs.

Thanks Rosie,
I have understood now :)
We are planning to go 29th ocotber 1st Nov and so i need to book QUICK!!!
I need to send CACEIS the grand sumn of 3 euros 79 cents, will do on monday, and then i will get my certificate for 20 shares.
Then i will email Shareholders Club and hopefully will get the number that will allow me to book, or i hope so,hope i have understood it right!!!!
I am in Italy and expedia doesnt do Room only anyway :confused3

I think that it does vary. In 2007 we were told that shareholder and Dream AP prices were the same. For our 2008 holiday the shareholders discount for room only did not come anywhere near the discounted price we got with the Dream AP.

You will only get a shareholders membership number once you apply & send off your documents to join.

I can see why AP discount was more as it will be a room only, whereas the shareholders is a package price including prices.

10% discount on rooms all year but new years eve and some peak days at xmas

Example quotes room only with shareholders I have for this year:

Santa Fe May (7th-9th) 3 nights: 2 peeps b&b - £161

Davy Crockett (13th-16th) 3 nights: 4 ads 1 child b&b - £455

Seqouia Lodge (august) 4 nights: 4 adults B&B - £680

I can see why AP discount was more as it will be a room only, whereas the shareholders is a package price including prices.

Our shareholders price was for room only as I told them we had APs :)

Another question on hotels
I note that it says that the Shareholder's discount is only applicable to 2 night consectutive stays, if I wanted to book 3 nights would they be able to do that for me and just charge me full price for the additional night ?

I'm sure others have stayed for longer & got the discount. Maybe Reid will know seeing as he is the master of long stays;)

I have only ever used it for 2 night stays.

I once had the same question.
But we always stay 3 nights and 4 days and we always get the 10% for the whole stay.
