If I buy an Annual pass at the gate before going to the AP office can I use my shareholders card at the gate too? Also does anyone know if my shareholders card being in my married name would cause an issue if my passport is in my maiden name?

I would guess that the name on the shareholders card and passport would need to match .

I think they will need to match names as it does state this specifically? I suppose like all these things it depends on the CM you get :lmao:. How about a driving licence - do you have the matching name on that - I think as long as it's an official photo ID like that then it should be fine....

If you could find an email for the AP office or even guest comms or something you could email them in advance just to make sure they would accept your passport so you don't need to bother taking anything else.

The AP issue aside you need to have some id that is in the same name as your shareholders card as you can and do get controlled when using the card in restaurants and shops

Do you have any photo id that has your married name on it such as a driving license ? If not I'd be taking a copy of my mariage cert with me as it's the only way you are going to prove if asked that the shareholders card is yours :goodvibes

Re the AP discount question - Yes you would get your shareholders discount on the AP if you buy it at the ticket office before entering the park on showing your card

Ive never been asked for ID using my shareholders card in any shops or restaurant and have used it on 5 trips. Even dh has used it to pay as Ive browsed the shop.

They didn't use to ask for ID but people on here were stating last year that they had started to ..... both my DD (she has her own shareholder's card) and I were asked every time we shopped last May athough not in restaurants. I think you have to be prepared to be asked in future and carry a copy of your marriage certificate to prove who you are.

I know it will be an additional expense but wouldn't it be easier to just change your passport into your married name? :confused3

I thought this too. DW discovered later that it was illegal that she had not updated her driving licence to married name.
