We are here now and the Wilderness Lodge is sharing buses with BLT and CR. Led to a 45 min delay to get to AK.

Wilderness Lodge always shares buses with BLT and CR, save sometimes at Easter/Christmas.

Poly and GF share a bus as well.

I believe BW and BC/YC still share for AK.

The only Deluxe with no shared buses is AKL/AKV.

I was surprised and did not expect that. AKL is my home resort, I guess that is why.

Because of where AKL is located, it is really not close enough to other resorts to share, so it only shares between Kidani and Jambo.

I believe this is not the case except for maybe slow times. When we have gone over Thanksgiving or Christmas, the BW has its own bus to AK and MK. Again, this may only be during busier times, but I believe it was noted about 2 years ago that the BW would have its own transportation to AK and MK.

As PP stated, CR/BLT sharing buses with WL is somewhat typical. We experienced it two weeks ago when we stayed at BLT. But I am surprised that the extra stop delayed you 45 minutes. I would estimate the extra stop only added about 15 minutes to our journey.

That was our biggest disappointment with staying at the Wilderness Lodge. We had mostly stayed at Pop Century before that and had always had amazing bus service. Then we pay triple what we're used to paying and can't get anywhere without it taking 45 minutes to an hour. One time we picked up the Polynesian and GF and I said that I would have been super angry if I would have been staying there and had to cram on a full bus. If I ever stayed there again, I would use my car to go most places.

There is a wide gap between "thanksgiving/Christmas" and actual slow times. The sharing amongst deluxe is quite frequent most of the year.

I know BW has its own MK bus now.

I agree - it really surprised me when I discovered it. I guess it is more efficient.

BW was sharing with Swan/ Dolphin to AK in July. Dedicated MK bus.

CR, in my experience, always shares with WL to HS and AK even at very busy times like Christmas/Easter. It gets old. We now plan most trips as split stays and use the first half of our trip, staying at Pop Century, for AK and HS and sometimes a day at Epcot. Then we move to CR and monorail to Epcot (although, personally I prefer the bus there from Pop Century) and enjoy the ability to walk to MK.

800 rooms is a lot its a lot. I would be shocked if Aman, Four Seasons , Dorchester , Como, Taj , Oberoi , Mandarin Oriental or Ritz Carlton have many hotels with even 500 rooms

why do deluxe resorts share?
To the best of my knowledge, each resort decides it's budget for transportation. If each deluxe resort had dedicated bus service, the room rates would go up, appreciably. These are 'deluxe' resorts because they have nicer theming, nicer pools, on-site restaurants, and direct access to at least one park, without having to use a bus. To compare them to non-Disney deluxe resorts is never a good thing. There is no comparison.
The only time the deluxe buses are truly full is at park closing.

How could one stop at CR lead to a 45 minute delay to AK? From WL that stop should add 15-20 max.
