Praying for those in the path of Hurricane Irma.

From the change in a jar to selling those big-ticket items on ebay, let us know what you're doing to save for Disney. You can check last week's thread for inspiration here: https://www.disboards.com/threads/share-your-rewards-toward-disney-week-of-9-3-17-9-9-17.3631383/

It's another week, so it's time to start a new thread. Welcome to any new posters and welcome back to all the previous posters. The rules are simple. Just edit your post each day that you add to your savings. Let's all have a good week!

I'm going to try to beat last week's earnings ($75 Target GCs and $90 cash) but it might be a little hard. Crossing my fingers and hoping!

Sunday
  • Nothing to report.
Monday
  • Received $25 Target GC from Perk
  • Received $25 PayPal from SB
Tuesday
  • Ordered a Disney Rewards card from Chase Visa. I only put $10 on it and will transfer the remainder of the rewards once I actually have the card in my possession.
Wednesday
  • Received $25 Target GC from Perk
Thursday
  • Redeemed $500 in Best Buy GCs (2*$150 from the eBay deal and 2*$100 from the Kroger deal) for a $500 Disney GC. Should get 500 Shopkicks for the transaction. Picked up a few more Shopkicks from doing scans.
  • Redeemed 4*$25 Target GCs (3 from Perk, 1 from SB) for 2*$50 Disney GCs.
  • Purchased a $45 item from Target's eBay store last week. Paid with the eBay bonus GCs from the PayPal Digital gifts. Returned it this morning for $47+ cash.
Friday
  • Received $218 PayPal from a DVC renter today. I thought I had another renter for a confirmed reservation but we could not come to an agreement on what my points are worth, so I moved on.
Saturday
  • Received the 500 Shopkicks from purchasing the $50 Disney GC at Best Buy.
Totals for the week:
$50 Target GCs
$243 PayPal cash

Last week was a pretty decent week for earnings for me (2500 in Swagbucks $14.48 with Ibotta $12 with my Survey companies) I am about 2/3s of the way to pay for our Disney World vacation in September 2018. However my daughter has informed me that she wants to go to Disney World for her 6th birthday which is in May. I think a mother daughter trip sounds like lots of fun so if I can get enough rewards to cover a large portion of that trip I may try to swing that too. Just have to figure out who will be able to watch DS1 since DH can't bring him to work :)

My goal is to plan a Disney trip for my family of four next summer sometime, and go completely for free from my surveys/apps. I just started saving for it the last week of July. So far I have a little over $400.

So far for Sunday:

I'm home sick and glued to the news as I have a lot of family in Southwest Florida and this hurricane is terrifying me. I have ncraves running on swagbucks s and I'm almost to my blue goal. Beyond that I doubt I will try for much. I cashed out for $25 on swagbucks yesterday.

Well, I doubt I'm going to have another unexpected paycheck bump this week, but here's to a good earning week for all!

Sunday
  • 145 swagbucks (which means I met my 2nd goal and got 9 bonus sb)
  • 2 mturk surveys worth $1.50
  • $3.06 in credit cards rewards processed
  • picked up $2 in Ibotta rebates, and the $10 for joining but can't cash out until I hit $20 so not adding this to any totals
  • I also have enough shop kicks after the weekend to get a $2 gift card, but letting that ride for now
Monday
  • 95 swagbucks
  • 2 mturk surveys worth $1.85
  • 40c in credit cards rewards processed
  • the monthly interest on my emergency fund credited today ($41.38) but I only transfer that quarterly so it won't show up in my totals for a while
Tuesday
  • 98 swagbucks
  • 3 mturk surveys worth $1.40
  • $1.66 in credit card rewards processed
Wednesday
  • 120 swagbucks
  • 2 mturk surveys worth $1.25 (it's been slim pickings for me on mturk this week)
Thursday
  • 142 swagbucks
  • 1 mturk game simulation worth $2
  • $4.12 in credit card rewards posted
Friday
  • 127 swagbucks
  • stumbled on a cache of mturk tasks that paid well and were easy. I'm always a little skeptical that they'll pay out and not find some arbitrary reason to reject them, but all being well, I should get $14.80
  • 50c in credit card rewards processed
  • Picked up 420 shop kicks with my walk through the local strip mall that has a lot of participating stores
Saturday
  • 122 swagbucks
  • 5 mturk surveys worth $3.05
Calling it a day since I have other stuff I really need to get done with anymore downtime I have today.

Balances (weekly/total)
  • $0/$215.07 savings account (earmarked for Disney)
  • $9.74/$127.26 credit card rewards balance
  • $25.85/$91.47 mturk balance
  • 849/1500 swagbucks
Grand Total = $35.59/$433.80 (not including swagbucks/ibotta/shopkicks)

Sunday
I made my first goal today and earned 90 SB. DH worked all day and got out 3 hours late so he didn't do any Swagging so no referral credits today.

Monday
I had to work today and it was BUSY...I got out an hour late but I still tried to get some surveys when I got home. I didn't have any luck so I was only able to earn a whopping 17 SB, and 10 of those were referral credits from DH.

Tuesday
So far, so good:love:...my nCraves are running great and I'm already at 27 for the day. I continued on, finished a survey (finally!), got a 30 SB surprise from coupon redemptions, and even made both of my daily goals:cheer2:. I just tried the Glade offer (Dailybreak) and I was shocked to see that it credited instantly! 30 more SB! The final SB total for today is 213 SB!

I am also eligible to start my plasma donations again and I was successful so that adds another $20 to my cash savings.

Wednesday
I stayed up and tried so hard to make my daily goal and FINALLY got a survey. Finished the day with 130 SB:cutie:

Thursday
This is embarrassing....I had the whole day off and I managed 2....yes, just 2 SB. I tried to let one of the apps run videos and I managed only round. After that, I was side-tracked by errands and chores and never made it back to do any swagging.

On a brighter note, I was able to get my second successful plasma donation of the week which netted me another $50 into my cash account:teeth:. Just one more donation and I will have my $200 cash goal.

Friday

I got a couple of surveys and ran my AYCE nCrave and ended up with 277 SB's for today:banana:. I am pretty happy about that total since I was at work all day and didn't really get an early start on the Swagging.

Saturday

I'm still going to try for a few surveys, but since my ProActiv purchase credited today, I am at 3003 SB which is waaaaaay over my daily goals:bitelip:.

So the grand total for the week is 3740 SB:jumping1:.

UPDATE: I am so excited to say that I have MADE my goal of $500 in FREE gift cardsparty:. I have 3000 SB that are pending until Friday, I redeemed 5000 SB for a $50 Target gift card today, leaving a little over 3400 in my account to cash out for my October discounted $25 card. Once that is factored in, I will have $500 on my Disney gift card to take with me next month. This is truly "Free Dining":cheer2:. I am planning on taking $200 in cash as my "contingency" fund. It will also be used to cover tips and meals in the airport. Right now, I have $180 of the $200.

For fun and for motivation, I thought I'd list what I have so far for our trip on the 28th! I'm pretty proud. Everything has been earned through apps, earning sites like MyPoints and Swagbucks, surveys, focus groups, etc. I expect to add more before the trip, with the cherry on top being an in home interview with a customer research firm for $400 three days before we leave.

2 round trip flights from Seattle to Orlando on Southwest with early bird check-in and 8 drink coupons
4 nights at the Wyndham Disney Springs- King room
4 nights at Port Orleans French Quarter - River View room
2 five day Park Hopper tickets
$233 in Landry's gift cards, plus my $25 birthday reward for being a Landry's Club member
$97.30 in Starbucks gift cards, plus my free birthday drink
$100 in Shula's gift cards, plus my free birthday entree
$100 in Gordon Biersch gift cards to use at Big River Grille, plus my free birthday appetizer
$25 Ghiradelli gift card
$25 Basin gift card
$602 in Disney gift cards
$50.32 in Target gift cards

Plus, I'm a total Disneybound fan so I've purchased 4 dresses for themed outfits, blank ears, decorating supplies for the ears, various accessories, matching fans for each outfit, and two pairs of shoes. I've also purchased two tshirts for my husband, two spray fan bottles, and all of our toiletries and random Disney supplies (sunscreen, Band-Aids, mini spinners to trade with the Jawas if that's still a thing, some snacks, random glow items, ponchos). Oh and I've paid the catsitter in advance and have put together a thank you basket for our catsitter with all his favorite snacks, beer, and some Redbox gift codes.

All of it earned through supplemental means, none of it coming out of our "regular" pay.

Wednesday: Got my RR bonus points for opening the SW CC!! I officially booked our flight home today using them.:D
And since I knew how many park days we'd have, I bought 2 6 day tickets today as well!! Feeling like it's officially official now.

Hopefully I'll have some more to add by end of the week as I'm working on SB right now. We'll see...

Thursday:
  • DS and I each earned a $300 bonus back in July for being new Chase Checking Account customers and making the required direct deposit. This money is being used to pay for special events during our January trip. So far it's paid for:
    • Spirit of Aloha Dinner Show - $78 per person (will get a 20% Tables in Wonderland discount refunded to my credit card on the day of the show)
    • Fireworks Dessert Party - $79 per person
    • Booked today - Disney After Hours event for January 19, 2018 - A/P rate $94.79 per person (with tax)
    • We each have $48.21 of the bonus remaining.
  • Earned $1.75 in iBotta rebates.
  • Earned 150 Marriott rewards points for re-tweeting a couple of their tweets. Been doing this for a week, but this is the first time I've received any points for it.
  • 222 JetBlue TrueBlue points were credited to my account for an Amazon purchase I made a month ago. I earn 3 points per dollar on eligible purchases on Amazon by clicking on my unique link in my JetBlue account. Since I started doing this in April, I've earned 2,270 TrueBlue points.

Wow, I'm truly impressed! You have every reason to be really proud. How long did it take you to save up all of this? Have a wonderful trip!

Thanks. :)
About a year, but I did use about $200 in Amazon and Target GC for Christmas and I also used some Southwest gift cards to buy flights to Las Vegas for my husband and myself and one night at the Golden Nugget with Hotels.com gift cards. I'm very fortunate to live in an area with a fair amount of focus groups. Those have been so appreciated !
