Shape up before you sail!

:cheer2: YOU GO GIRL! :cheer2:

Congrats on making it to ONEderland. I plan on joining you there.
I have this mental image of Scarlet O'Hara clenching her fist and saying, "As God is my witness, I will never weight 200 pounds again!"

Thank you! I forgot to mention that it is the lowest I have been in 12 years!

I thought when this moment came that I would be overwhelmed with emotion and just cry. But, I haven't yet. I think I was just so thrilled that I was not as emotional as I expected to be.

Good luck to you as well!

Back on plan and not having too much stomach issues - mostly gas

Peg if you are still on the same diet I am, I know what the gas could be from. PM me if so. BTW... I finally reached my "goal" weight & signed up to become a Take Shape for Life coach. Now I just have to study and take my test within the next two weeks.

Congrats sister for the 5% drop! Every pound is progress. I've been pretty darn good staying on plan while here in N.C. I've also done some excercising and that's the thing I need to kick up when I get home to drop as MUCH as I can before we sail. The size 12 white pants did fit - and I am so happy about that.

I ran/jogged over 3 miles my first full day here, since then I've swam laps and then on Father's day spent hours in the pool either doing laps or playing with the kids and swimming around with them on my back. Needless to say I was exhausted on Monday!

We went to see Proposal and I only had a fist full or two of popcorn - but we did have some ice cream after - my tummy was really full of gas last night. I started pushing on my lower abdomen and moved the gas through and today I feel so much better - not sure what is up with that - but it worked and my tummy is less sore today. I think the diet coke I had helped move the gas THRU - sorry is this TMI????

Ok, onward and downward!

Wendy - I send a pm to you!

Congratulations TiggersPal! :cool1: Sounds like you did awesome on vacation. Just keep it moving, moving...:thumbsup2

I did a little backslide this week. Gotta get it together. Gotta remember that chips are not my friends. Getting back on track, and looking at what I eat. It's getting tougher as the weeks go by to stay on track. I have a goal and I'm trying to stick to it.

Congratulations to all of you who have stayed on your plan and are working towards your goal.:woohoo::cheer2:

Well I hit my 1st goal of 20 lbs!!!!! I wore a pair of 12's today that I had in my closet and could NOT fit into - even when I got into the 12's a couple of weeks ago - these ones were cut differently I guess - they are dress pants for work so I am really happy about that. I also have a pair of 12 camel colored jeans that I hope I can wear for casual Friday (but we are off this Friday for the4th celebration) so I'm going to PRAY I fit into them on Thursday... would be nice bonus.

I've kicked up the work-outs and am back at the gym, as well as swimming with my sister (who didn't show up last night... Jackie - where were you?) - and I spent 30 minutes doing weights at home when I got back from the gym. My BFF's doctor told her adding weight training would help the "loose skin" issue when shrinking... so I'm going to do what I can - I hate these bat arms!

I hope everyone else is keeping cool this summer - having fun and enjoying the lighter fare salads and fresh fruits available! ONWARD AND DOWNWARD!

Jackie hit her 15 pound mark this a.m.!!!!! :rotfl::banana::thumbsup2 Just thought I'd let people know since she might not feel much like Dis'ing in the next few days... she's been swamped at work and something else is going on - but I'm not sure I should say, but I will say this, she is fine...

Way to go girls.......CONGRATULATIONS!!:banana::yay::dance3::cheer2:

Jackie & Peggy
Congratulation from me for hitting your goals:cool1:
Always a good feeling to make progress.

I've hit a wall, exercising like crazy (30 min on elliptical, 2.5 hrs walkings, and 20 minutes lifting weights) of course I'm eating a little more than my allotted 1100 calories but it's still less than 1400 and my net calories are in the 400-500 range. Not sure what's going on. Hopefully, I'm losing weight and it hasn't shown on the scale yet.

Good luck everyone, and keep it moving:yay:

Can join in on this group? I sail on the Magic on September 19, and would love to loose 20 pounds before then.

Well the nice thing about not giving up is that IT WILL show up - just a matter of time... and when it does you are not ONLY going to feel great about it, but your body will thank you for the toned muscles and a higher burning metabolism!

WELCOME - we are so happy to have you! I bought a pair of jeans at walmart last night in a 10 - just for inspiration to keep going because I can still hopefully hit a 10 or 8 before the cruise!

We sail on July 25, I have lost 15 pounds in the last 3 months and wish I could loose another 10-15 before we sail. I had an appendectomy a couple weeks ago (which I think always comes as a surprise) and that put a damper on my excercise and diet. Does anyone have any tips to loose the weight quickly...
I am able to begin excercising again now. :surfweb::worship::confused3:cheer2::grouphug:

I'm sure you'll be able to reach it by cruise time. Just keep moving and it'll come off. Thanks for the encouragement. I did lose 2 lbs, so it did eventually show up. I also went shopping this weekend (wanted to encourage the weight loss by buying/wearing clothes that actually fit!). It was nice seeing my new slimmer self. Definitely motivating! Let's keep it up girls!!!!

I would just keep moving (I walk to Subway or to a local soup shop for lunch - minimum of 1 mile each way). I also track my calories and exercise, use caloriecount.about.com (it's a free online journal to track calories), you would be amazed at how many calories are in our food and in how many you consume in a day. I was shocked that I took in 3000 cal. in a day and it didn't seem like it was much food. Now I track everything that I consume and try to limit my intake to 1200 cal and also try to exercise 600-700 calories per day. Only my suggestions, hope it can help some. Don't get discouraged, you have already done a lot, it's only a few more lbs. You can do it!!!:cheer2:

Your welcome. Hope it helps. You just need to try what works for you. "Diets" don't work for me. I find that I'll just cheat. So, I eat what I want but limit myself to 1200 cal. It all about choices for me, if I want pizza I'll eat it but then I won't be able to eat a whole lot for the day. Choices. And I must exercise at least 5 days a week. When I'm at my goal then I'll increase my calories to 1500 a day and exercise 3 days a week and see if I can maintain. It'll take experimenting as everyone is different. Just do what will work for you. It is a choice. Good Luck!pixiedust:
