Shamu Dinner

We have booked the Shamu dinner and now I am wondering what happens if it rains that day is the venue covered I don't mind being at the park in the rain but I don't want my food floating around on my plate.

Yes, the backstage area where Dine with Shamu is held is covered.

We just got back from our trip to Orlando, and we went to dining with shamu, it is covered so if it does rain you will not get wet! The food is good and it is really neat to see the whales so close. We were seated in the front row on the end where the whales do their slide-up! But it seems most of the action was close to the middle and on the other far end. You'll get a decent view no matter where you get seated!

A quick question....

I have read elsewhere that somebody said that there is a "possibility" that you might get wet during the Shamu Dinner.

I find it a little hard to believe that you might get splashed during dinner, but you never know.

Is there a possibility that you might get wet during the dinner?

I'm not 2morrow, but...

we went last year and no one got wet, but my brother and SIL and their family just went last weekend and SIL got soaked at Dine with Shamu . One of the whales just came up and brought a lot of water with it. They don't do any "splashing" behaviors during Dine with Shamu, it was just dumb luck. She was the only one to get wet at their table or at the tables on either side of them. Its not typical to get wet, but it may happen when you're dealing with animals that can weigh several tons.

Yeah I agree with g w lit, it would be just dumb luck if you did get wet, there was no one getting wet at our dinner!
