Shamrock Shakes

That always happens to me!
We went to KFC to get the new grilled chicken a while back....they were out! We went to the restaurant "Zia's" (their signature item is rotisserie chicken) they were out of chicken!!! Now McDonalds!!!

I was just beginning to think it's me!

We went to a KFC for the first time in over 3 years because my husband really wanted it. They were out of chicken! How does KFC run out of chicken????

Ours always says that their machines are broken too. I want to say Fix them then!!!!!! I wonder if that really is the reason, that they are a hassle to make? That makes me even madder.

I don't know. It just seems crazy that they both have had "broken" machines for a long time and the drive-thru person almost sounds happy to say that they are (and even crazier now that it seems to be an epidemic among McD's). Or maybe that's just my disappointment imagining it .

Has anyone ever mixed a Shamrock shake with the Chocolate shake? I know someone that loves the chocolate and strawberry shake flavors mixed together.

Will McD's mix them together for you? If so, I may go out cruisin' for a mint-chocolate masterpiece tonight.

my DH and i went to Taco Bell a few times and they seem to ALWAYS be out of something. once it was beef, once it was cheese, once it was lettuce, once it was tomatoes, and once it was taco shells

I think that it is an epidemic problem with them not having the special items. A couple years ago they were advertising chocolate pies but none of the McD's around me ever had them even though they were on the sign. And one of the ones I went to the person on the drive through had not a clue what they were.

And I just had to read this, now I want a shake!

if they don't have something that they're advertising, isn't that considered "False Advertising"?? can't these places get introuble for that?

I agree, those shakes are gu-ud!! I went to Wendy's the other day because their big sign with this wonderful looking salad just kept getting my attention. At the drive thru they informed me they didn't have the 'stuff' to make the salad. Grrrrrr!

After reading this thread yesterday and getting more and more irritated that our machine was "broken" I had DH pick up a big thing of vanilla ice cream. I experimented a little bit and we ended up with Shamrock shakes that were 100 times better than anything McD's could pump out...I may have cured my addiction!(ok not really,now I will just be making them at home all the time)

I had this issue with pumpkin pies at holiday time.
Ours often runs out of ice cream (which as my mom goes there for ice cream sundaes is a problem).

Whipped cream and cherries do not belong on Shamrock Shakes. Why do they always have to change things that are already good?

They didn't used to be. When i worked there. it was ice cream and the flavor mix albeit powdered. No oil at all. I can't imagine they changed it much
