Shameless ploy for sympathy

ok I know in the grand scheme of things this is not that big of a deal but I just had the first half of a root canal and it HURT!!!

My last one was on a dead tooth so he didnt even have to use any anethesia NOT so with this one. He used 4 full needles of pain killer to get the tooth numb enough. I am dreading when it wears off soon.



I know many of you deal with pain on a regular basis and Im so sorry and I know that this isnt that major but for right now it hurts

And I have to go back next Thursday and do it all over again

Sorry it hurts Binny. I'm going in next Thurs. to have the last half sone also. Tell them yoiu had pain and maybe the can give you more painkiller next time. did they give you a pain med script?

I'm sorry, Binny. I dread the day when I have to do my first root canal. I'm a total baby when it comes to the dentist, so I understand in part. *HUGS*

They gave me some vicodin thankfully so that should help it is still numb I wonder how long it will take to wear off lol.

Make sure you take your medicine BEFORE the novacaine wears off.

binny...I had the same thing happen - take the vicodin!!!!!! YOU WILL NEED IT!!!! Trust me!!!

And for me the first half was not AS BAD as the second half. I was in alot more pain with the second half. And although they said it was a dead tooth - to this day I don't believe them!!! I didn't have any pain killers and boy I wish I would have. But I'm a pain wimp too!!!

The second half - after about an hour I felt like I had a heartbeat in my tooth. I literally laid on the couch on my stomach and put pressure on my jaw - it hurt so bad!!!!
