I've heard stories about every company---including The Walt Disney Company.
OP: any chance you can say why you deleted your entire post?

BETTYDISNEY-
I posted this on your original thread but didn't know if you were still reading it or not.
It is just my suggestion, but I would suggest that if you ever do get a refund check that you don't cash it. I am not a lawyer, but talk to one first. Cashing it may equate to accepting a deal.
I'm sorry this happened
Also to LauraSSV, The AllStars are great (we stay there every trip) but they are not equal to a home with a private pool with a lift which is what this family booked and paid a deposit for---where I come from, that's called a reservation!
I have to say you should have not said anything because what you did say made you sound worse!!!
LauraSSV: you've done more damange to your own reputation than a disgruntled customer ever could---to say that your post was unprofessional would be an understatement.
Betty: after you mailed your deposit check and signed rental agreement, did you get a counter-signed copy of the agreement back, or any form of written "we have your deposit and you are booked" confirmation? Does the rental contract have a clause in it concerning cancellation on the part of the owner/management company? If so, what does it say?

Well, Laura it seems like you have alot of fans out there !![]()

Then it would appear that SSV *did* have a contract with you.
Did the rental agreement or the confirmation contain any clauses about cancellation on the part of the owner/management company?
As an aside, asking for the difference to cover a DVC villa was unreasonable, IMO. Asking to be covered for your airfare change fees would have been a lot more reasonable.
