We have booked our holiday with TravelCity Direct and are flying on a MyTravel Airlines flight from Manchester next week. We are to check in 3 hours before, would anyone recommend prebooking our seats so that we can sit together (2 adults & a child) or do you think we will be ok??
Also, there is an option to pay (from £15pp) to double our baggage allowance from 20 - 40kg. I am planning on buying clothes and trainers whilst in Orlando. How strict are they if you go slightly over your allowance ?? Do you think it is worth paying the extra before we go ??

An alternative to pre-booking your seats would be to turn up at the airport dead early and be one of the first in line for check-in. We went with Travel City once before and pre-booked our seats but you couldn't pick where you sat, your party was simply seated together where they chose. That may have changed now.

As for your baggage allowance, only you can judge the amount you are taking and the extra you may bring back. You will have a full baggage allowance for your child so your total will be 60k anyway. We have never had a problem with our allowance and have always brought loads of stuff back.

I can't answer about pre booking seats, because I am disabled we have to pre book a specific seat with aisle on left for me and we always get sat together so my husband can assist me if needed (and look after children) but - with regard to the luggage allowance think carefully about how much you will realistically be able to manage between you. Last time we took way under what we could and still struggled when we couldn't get a trolley.
