Shaken, Not Stirred, With a Twist of Pixie Dust! A Food and Wine Trip!NEW! Pgs.75,76

Well, if I could settle on some dates, I would be able to settle on a resort. (Maybe.)

What resort did you switch to?

Are you still thinking end of July? Or is that too close to the start of school?
I've had to change my dates three times! I went from the beginning of August to the end of August/beginning of September (we start school after Labor Day so I have some flexibility) and then had to move my trip up a a few days after I got the Save the Date for my cousin's wedding.

Since there's three adults, 2 kids (6 and 2), I thought the space at AKL might be a little tight. Plus, with a stroller, a monorail resort would be MUCH nicer. I switched to the Poly for the first eight nights and possibly two nights at the Grand Floridian at the end to see if that's a place we'd really like to stay in the future. I am not a fan of the whole Victorian theme (especially the wall paper in the rooms :scared1:), but I'm all about nice resorts. I was quite spoiled when I went to the NAGC conference in August and my school booked the Four Seasons :lmao:

I'm curious to see what you pick. I'm thinking you're going to pick the BC and stay longer.

You have changed almost as much as I have, Jen!!! :rotfl:

Just wanted to fill everyone in on the Christmas fun and mischief that’s been happening around our house.

Last Sunday Chelsea and Connor made pizza for dinner.

It turned out delicious!

Afterwards we decorated Christmas cookies.

Connor said it wasn’t his fault his hands were covered in frosting. He declared, “I’m creating!”

We believe in a lot of frosting and sprinkles at our house!

In elf news, Haddon and Ingrid have been very busy.

They have cuddled with Bella.

001-2.jpg

They played dress-up with the Barbie clothes. I think Haddon thought the boa was a scarf.

CE001.jpg

They hid candy canes and ate one.

They found the nail polish…

CE003.jpg

And painted Charles’ toenails!

CE002.jpg

They brought a book about an elf and read it.

cem002.jpg

They made hot chocolate and made a bit of a mess.

They hid in a Christmas bag on top of the kitchen cabinets.

Last night they found our Mardi Gras beads and brought some movie candy. I think they are ready to see The Princess and the Frog.

Hope everyone is enjoying the holiday season!

Hey! I see a familiar Christmas card in that last picture!

Those elves are just so creative! I especially love the toenail painting. :rotfl2::lmao::rotfl:

Aww those elves sure are adventurous!! Loving it!! Hope you enjoy your movie afternoon!!!!!!!

Looks the elves are having a good time at your house. It must be nice for them to relax and have some fun after working so hard at the north pole all year.
The cookies look great. We're baking ours today.

:rotfl2: Haha! Those elves really crack me up! I love seeing all the mischief they are getting into!!!!! I also enjoyed the pizza pictures and, just as I suspected, Chelsea is already starting to look older than she did 6 months ago. She is totally changing right before our eyes. She is becoming quite the lovely young lady.

I am looking forward to hearing about your summer plans. I am very curious about when you are going and where you've decided to stay.

All caught up on your updates!! I love the Christmas elves, what fun. Can't wait to read more and have a wonderful Christmas!!

Your elves are too cute! I know your kids love seeing what all they get into each day. What a great way to pass the days up until Christmas. My DD is already driving me nuts with the "How many more days 'till Christmas?" nagging! I may have to find some elves of my own or some other activity to keep her mind occupied! We have always done a Santa beard countdown calendar with cotton balls (glue a cotton ball on his beard each day to cover the numbers). But this year she is just REALLY excited. She is almost six, so I guess that is the age that they really get into it. Would you mind if I used your elf idea and purchased Ingrid and Haddon's cousins?:lmao:

the pizza and cookies look yummy! i made heath bar cookies, chocolate cherry chunkies and gooey butter cake yesterday. today i'm making a huge batch of turkey chili. not very christmas-y but it's still good!

They found the nail polish…

CE003.jpg

And painted Charles’ toenails!

CE002.jpg

:lmao: that's great! ray has had his toenails painted, too, but elves weren't involved. just a few adult beverages. :rolleyes1

Oh I love those elves!! :lmao: Charles sure is a good sport! I can guarantee there is no situation in which Greg would ever let me paint his toenails (including adult beverage consumption!)

Okay okay okay.. SO your husband let you (cough.. er... ELVES) paint his toe nails??!! :lmao: OMG... first he sleeps on the pavement at Epcot, and now this.... :rotfl:

Your cookies look adorable! I frosted and made several kinds this weekend. I cut out and baked all my sugar cookies. Decorating those tomorrow. I have to pack them all up for friends, etc. this week... I will take all the photos for you! So what are your new plans!!?? I can't wait to hear....;)

Hmmm...I was wondering J if H & I could use their elf magic to head up north cause I could use a pedicure and they look like they do a pretty nice job...Charles' toes are looking pretty good there...:lmao:

Sweet Bella...she must be really good natured...:goodvibes

I love that Connor was "creating"...David is going to be "creating" a gingerbread house if Emily can back off and just let him do his the way he wants to...(she is a little OCD...and likes things to be done a certain way...control issues...

Wow you really can see Chelsea growing up...she's is lovely...all those good teenage times right around the corner...:rolleyes1
:surfweb:

What a great update!! You had me laughing hard. I can not believe Charles let you paint his nails. What a trooper! I have to say that I LOVE your elf idea. When did you start it with the kids? If you dont mind, I may use it for my family. My in-laws just gave the kids "Dasher" and "Dancer" stuffed reindeers. That would be perfect to start the tradition. Can't wait to see what they are up to next!

I have a newfound respect for Charles. Red is definitely his color. :thumbsup2

I'm not sure if you put it in here, did you watch Prep and Landing? I thought it was adorable! I've actually watched it twice now, we recorded it. :goodvibes

:rotfl: Great update, Jackie! I am sitting here laughing. Looks like it was a fun couple of days at your house! :rotfl:
