Hey, recently I decided I might as well make a thread suggesting music, seeing as how it is so very very awesome, so here it is. I'll update this on occasion with new music that I think is cool. Now, for the disclaimers and stuff.
DISCLAIMER! I neither suggest nor do I support the use of pirate-ing software.
Anyway, a couple of music groups that I won't be posting about:
OK, so let's begin. This one is going to be mostly techno/electronica, which can have explicit lyrics. There will be some other music thrown in there though. I got all of these off of iTunes using a 50 dollar iTunes giftncard I bought for myself (those are by far the easiest way to get songs.)
For starters, I got the Pet Shop Boys new CD Fundamentalism/Fundamentals. I got this CD mainly for the song I'm With Stupid, but the rest of the music is pretty good.
After that, I got He's a Pirate (Tiesto Remix). It's a really good mix of the song from Pirate's of the Carribean.
I got Harder, Better, Faster, Stronger and Harder, Better, Faster, Stronger (Neptunes Remix.) I like the origional more than the neptune's mix. The origional is off of Discovery, and the Neptunes Remix is off of a single. Daft Punk is the group that got me into techno back when I first heard them. If you want to get addicted to this music, they have a "Daft Punk Essentials" on iTunes that is like a greatest hits.
Next up, I got Knights of Cydonia by Muse. It's 6 minutes long, and I thought it was pretty good.
I got Godzilla by Blue Oyster Cult. It's a good example of why old music is great
.
I got Castles in the Sky (Extended Mix) and Castles in the Sky (Perfect Sphere Mix.) The first is good if you're still getting into this kind of music, and if you get hooked, the second is pretty good.
I got the soundtrack from Snakes on a Plane (Explicit). I thought it was worth getting the explicit version just to hear Samuel Jackson yell that one line from the movie at the beggining of Snakes on a Plane (Bring it) by Cobra Starship.
Finally, I got the CD Once by Nightwish. Some of the lyrics may be explicit, but the entire CD is amazing. If you don't like amazing music on an almost Epic scale, go listen to something else. Honestly, the song "Ghost Love Score" is worth the entire cost of the CD alone. And don't let the names scare you off (i.e. Planet Hell, Dark Chest of Wonders, etc.), this music is amazing.
Well Happy listening, and enjoy everyone

Anyway, a couple of music groups that I won't be posting about:
- County. Living in West Virginia for 4 years makes you hate country.
- Rap. I'd like to listen to actual music, thanks.
- "Light" Rock. I want to be able to listen to my music before falling asleep.
