Shades of Green in Twenty Eighteen!

. The px is convenient. I actually opted to walk to Polynesian and use the monorail or go to the ttc for AK rather than wait for the shades bus

I’ve heard that the walk from SOG to the Poly is around 10 minutes and that the walk beyond that to the TTC is another 5 minutes. Sound right? I’m going to have to get a map of the Poly to see where I need to go to catch a bus or the monorail.

Anyone else out there with pics of SOG to share? Maybe there just aren’t many of you. I’d still love to see!

We never made the walk from the Poly to the TTC, but the estimate from Shades to Poly seems about right. It's just down Shades' (admittedly pretty long) driveway, then across the road. I bought glowstick necklaces if we had to make the crossing after dark just in case, but they weren't really necessary - the whole area is very well lit and there's a crosswalk for you to use.

I like the idea of the glow sticks, just for the fun of it. But I am glad that the area is well lit. A walk “home” in the swampy darkness would be intimidating.

Ok, here are some questions

have you or your kids participated in any of the occasional activities put on by SOG? What were they? Did you have fun?

have you walked to the Poly for any evening stuff like the fireworks, torch lighting, or water parade? Was it worth your time?
