:sad2: Sadly mine still only has the flannel but I am so glad you texted me because I can't wait until they arrive at my Joanne's

Thanks... And I love that photo... I have heard so many wonderful things about POFQ... Sometimes I wish that we would have chosen CBR - because I think that's more our style - but I'll save it for next time.

I totally loved the pixie dust and I can't wait to use it... The hook on the back of my sewing room door is getting pretty full.

Nooooo... Don't stop visiting my PTR... Just think - in 54 days, it'll be over, and I'll have to find another corner of The Dis to occupy my time...:sad1: Maybe I'll just have to start planning another trip??? LOL... Only 3000 days until my next trip to WDW... At least I'll have pleanty of time to make a few customs.

I've been working on my special project all night... I've been dreaming of making this item since before we went to The Netherlands - I've been trying to hunt down the perfect pattern, and I'm tellin' ya'll right now - there is no pattern for what I am making anywhere... and very few people sell them - and for sure, not the way I am making it. It was a crazy mess to cut out, because I drew out the pattern about a month ago - and I understood my notes when I wrote them, but when I went back to them today... :confused3 Now I am starting to make some progress. I think I am going to finish this small project before I work any more on the Up bag - because I don't want to risk forgetting my notes again... My hope is to finish it tomorrow - depending on how long the applique takes me. :thumbsup2

Thanks everyone for "liking" my latest bag. :cloud9: It was a lot of fun to make.

Hi! I'm new to the DIS and I found your PTR. Wow!! I love everything you make!! My daughter is obsessed with dressing her AG dolls - she would go nuts if she saw them!

Okay D I am totally intrigued by your cryptic message of what you are making.

And Lisa! What a fabulous pixie dust find!!! That Donald bag just SCREAMS D~!!!!! :worship:

And :woohoo: for being paid in full! :woohoo:

It's almost time to start saving for our girls trip - all you ladies are with us, right??? I am, of course, talking about our trip AFTER this trip :rolleyes1

D- I am laying claim to your latest bag. I don't know if it is mine but I love it. Can't wait to get mine. I might should have done further research on your bags.( that is some bad english right there) I'm kinda in love with the Goofy bag! Naa, Mickey will forever be my mane attraction. All of your work is georgous. I got Mickkey Mail today and I am so excited. I know you are getting excited about your trip now that you are paiod in full.

Welcome - and thanks! :lovestruc AGs are so much fun - my girls used to love them too... My oldest is totally done collecting and my youngest is teetering on the edge. Enjoy this age that your dd is as, it goes by way too fast. :wizard:

congrats on paying it off!!!!!!!!!!! feels SOO good hey???

Thanks! Well, sort of... Now there's a whole gammit of other things I need to pay off. I don't know what I would have done if DH wouldn't have purchased our airfare as a Christmas gift, because I honestly don't think I would have been able to pay for all of it on my own (in time, anyways) - I probably would have had to change the dates of our trip. But, yes, it does feel good to have that part out of the way.

Okay D I am totally intrigued by your cryptic message of what you are making.

Chiara, you'll just have to stay tuned. :thumbsup2 Trust me, it's nothing huge - but it's unique... If I can even finish it. I was laying in bed this morning - like I always do - and I figured out that I won't be able to sew this item like I'd originally intended - so, I think I've figured out how to do it a different way - but I dunno if it'll work... I might just end up scrapping the whole thing. And I am not one to do that. :rolleyes1

I know, right? Me too!!!

Hey Miss Marianne... Lovin' your TR these days... I'll be joinin' you over there pretty soon... Still don't know what I am going to name mine. :confused3

I just love it... You should have seen me giggling when I opened it... I think I might have gasped too... It's so stinkin' cute! :lovestruc

And :woohoo: for being paid in full! :woohoo:

Super happy about it... LIke I said above, now I am just worried about the rest of the stuff I have to pay for... Luggage fees, tips, extra meals and souveniers... Honestly, I think we will be OK with out any souvenier $$, if it ends up that way... Even though we LOVE to shop... I have about 100 trading pins all packed, and I am bringing all of our hats with - so we shouldn't need any more of that sort of thing. I really wanted to buy a 2012 hoodie - but if all they have is what's online, then I will pass, because I want mine embroidered, not screen printed. :surfweb: We should be OK.

It's almost time to start saving for our girls trip - all you ladies are with us, right??? I am, of course, talking about our trip AFTER this trip :rolleyes1

I thought you guys were saving already... Are we all gonna bunk together? The El Cheap-skate in me doesn't mind bunking with Dis friends, if it saves me a few $$$... I was thinking it would even be cheaper for me to fly as far as Marianne's and we could drive down together, we'd take turns sewing and driving. :thumbsup2

You can lay claim to my latest bag Tara... It will be in the mail to you this afternoon. :thumbsup2 Really glad that you like it. :lovestruc

:goodvibes thanks my sweet friend :goodvibes

Right back atcha! I loved all the pics you posted in your TR the other day too! You both looked like you had a wonderful time... and SB's castle is gorgeous at Christmas time! :lovestruc

OK - so the plan for today... Must get to the PO before it closes for lunch, so I can get the Mickey bag mailed.

So, this morning, I will work on my "little project" for a while... Then I'll rush to the PO, then I'll rush home and work on it some more... And hopefully finish it with out too much swearing and get pictures posted. Whether is goes together nicely or not, will determine if I will ever attempt to make another one again. :rotfl2: There is a distinct possibility that this will be a OOAK item.

I plan to work on and finish the Up bag this weekend too... The appliques are going to be pretty intricate, so I am not sure if that will happen, or not... To me, the appliques are the hardest part - they can really make or break a bag... and they take sooooo long to do. I really wish I had an embroidery machine, it would save me so much time (I think), but then nothing I create would be unique, because I could only use designs that are for sale on the digital market, so that would really limit me - in size and design. Does that make sense? <---- Sorry, just rambling this morning.

Next week, I will start on my next bag order (besides I am still waiting for one more fabric to get here for that bag)...

If you all could see the list of things I need to finish for our trip - you would be amazed... I started a rough list the other day, and since then, I've thought of a few other things to add - it's insane! That's why I am trying to sneak our stuff in between orders.

OK - I better go finish reading the rest of the boards so I can get to work. :surfweb:

Oh, I did have one more question to ask you all...

Currently, we are participating in a Photopass share.

The girls and I are photo pass freaks... Every time we see a photographer, we stop - doesn't matter where we are... Our last trip, we ended with over 1200 pictures. I can't imagine we will get that many again, but we will probably get a lot - especially after we are done editing.

My question to you all... Do you think that is too much to try and do a share? Would I just be better off buying the CD on my own? I could really use the savings that a share would provide, but I don't want to add a whole CD or two to the pile, in just our pictures alone.

I know that some of you that read my PTR are actually in the share with me - how do you feel about that?

I am just trying to decide, so I can save for that too - if necessary.

D~

I honestly like the shares it saves a lot of money. the last one I did had over 2000 pictures and I was the leader. It honestly didn't take me long to seperate peoples pictures out :)

I've been reading along but haven't had a chance to post.

:cheer2::cheer2::cheer2: Congrats on having your trip paid in full. You should be so proud of yourself for working so hard to fund this vacation for you and the girls.

I love the Mickey bag and the pixie dust from Lisa and Megan (love the matching nails too). I can't wait to see what you are making and I bet you will have a few things that you won't have time to finish before your trip but only because you will have a brilliant idea about 3 days before you leave and won't have time to make it. You have already made such wonderful things for the girls and yourself so you'll have to save your great ideas for your next trip. Or the Girls Only trip - that sounds fun!!!

I've never done a photopass share but I can imagine that there are other people in the share who get lots of pictures - isn't that the point of Photopass?

I did a share on my trip. There were three of us in it and I ended up with the most pics. My pics were two and a half CDs and theirs were two and a half combined (5 CDs total). I think so long as the leader of the share understands what they're doing and doesn't have an issue making CDs for everyone you should be fine :-)

Are you talking to me??? Are you referring to the UPB??? If you are, then yes, I did sort of wing it... Once I got all my measurments figured out. I didn't have a tut at all.

D~
Actually I was talking to Cheryl about the little AG doll purse she made, but if it makes you feel better I can pretend I was talking to you. I know you do all your own bags with your own patterns.

I worked on DD's prototype doll house today.
Sorry for the bad cell phone pic. I can't find the camera!

We don't have much furniture...we really need more than 2 rooms. DD was concerned that they do not have a bathroom!
That is so cute! What did you make the rooms out of? I just have a corner in dd's room where she has all her things set up. She doesn't have much furniture -- just a wardrobe and a chair. I want to make her a bed, but not any time too soon as I just have other things on my plate right now.

Yes, but then her eyes would be open... Lord only knows what she'd see? She might prefer to lay down...
D~

Excellent point -- the last thing Dorrrine needs to see is Ginger pole dancing or going for a ride with Rod.

All done!!!

I love how this bag turned out, it is very similar to my last Mickey one, but there are a few differences - as we all know - I don't ever like to make anything exactly the same.

I wasn't expecting to finish this bag so early today... So, now I get to play. :wizard: Up bag, here I come... :lovestruc

Paid in Full!!!!!

:cool1: :hippie: :cool1:

D~

YAY!!!! I'm so glad you have now paid for all of us. You are too sweet!

Before I show pictures... I just want to say a few things...

I know I said it earlier in the week... But I have made a lot of great friends on The Dis, but there is a hand-full of you that I have become quite close to these last few months... And I just really want to say thanks for being such great friends - really - I couldn't have done any of this with out you cheering me on.

Having said that... I recieved some Pixie Dust today, from somone who should have been Pixie Dusted herself - for sure on a day like today. I wish I could give a lot more than cyber hugs to Lisa and Megan today... they have been through so much, and just really deserve every bit of fortune that comes into their lives - great people, I tell ya! So, Lisa and Megan, from the bottom of my heart... Thank you!

OK - now that I am done being sappy...

Imagine my surprise, when I opened the mail box and found an envelope with my name on it.... I was quite shocked, because I wasn't expecting anything. Isn't that the best part of Pixie Dust - someone thinks of you when you least expect it... :lovestruc

Lisa and Megan know me way too well...

Check out this adorable bag they sent me!!! D~ is in 7th heaven... Not only that, but I was seriously contimplating making us a "pool bag" - you know, to carry towels, sunscreen, a good book to the pool... Well - this is the perfect bag for that!!! And I am thrilled!!!

th_IMG_25361.jpg

And the sides of the bag... I conveniently used my Donald nails (newest revision) to hold it open - because they match!!! How cool is that??? :cool1:

th_IMG_25372.jpg

And not only did Lisa and Megan send me this cute bag - but they sent me this adorable Donald pen too!! Isn't he cute!!! :lovestruc

th_IMG_25383.jpg

I just love everything!! And it was just so sweet of you to think of me - I am so excited about the bag... I love that it's water proof, I can fold it up in my luggage and it's really light weight!!!

 Thank you Lisa and Megan!!!

D~
That is soooooo you! What a great gift!

It's almost time to start saving for our girls trip - all you ladies are with us, right??? I am, of course, talking about our trip AFTER this trip :rolleyes1
I heard D was paying for that one as well :)

Thanks, I hope to get more DLR photos posted this weekend!
sounds like its a good thing you have a list going....I'm a list maker too, so nice to see things get crossed off!

can't wait to see your next creation!!!

I've never shared a photopass cd so no help with that!

have a great day!

We have done photopass shares for the last 3 trips. My only complaint came from not being able to find photopass photographers last trip. We actually ended up with less than a hundred pictures from our family of 9....very disappointing, but would have been more so if the whole price was paid by me!

Nini

Just a quick update before I run to the PO... I've managed to finish the applique on my "little project" - with out wrecking it, I might add... Gonna head out to the PO and come back and try to assemble the "little project"... That's gonna be the make it or break it scenerio.

D~

We did a photo pass share our last trip and loved it. I am not sure photo pass is worth it without a share. I have never found enough photographers around the parks. It seems others have had more luck though so I might just be bad at spotting them.

Thanks everyone about my "doll house"

That is so cute! What did you make the rooms out of? I just have a corner in dd's room where she has all her things set up. She doesn't have much furniture -- just a wardrobe and a chair. I want to make her a bed, but not any time too soon as I just have other things on my plate right now.

It's actually made out of cardboard boxes w/some wood to support the top floor.
I said it is a "prototype" because I want DH to make one out of wood...with more rooms. But you know that honey do list keeps getting longer...
So I made this one for now.

First I was just going to make a "background" to set up for each room. But then it turned into this when I found a book at the library.
It's called "The Most Wonderful Dollhouse Book" but Millie Hines.

It has patterns for dolls and instructions to make the houses for them and lots of furniture. I had to alter it a bit to make it large enough for the AG dolls. If I can get my scanner working I will scan the page that explains how to assemble. And I can explain more. Just send me a PM if your interested :thumbsup2.

Also check out this Youtube channel. She makes lots of things for dolls. Most tutorials are for Barbie sized dolls...but you can always scale it up for the AG dolls!
