I LOVE the wallet. . it is so cute! Do you only/mostly use Disney GCs for the kids and avoid cash? Sounds like a good idea. . .it would help avoid over spending!

For the most part, we use Disney GCs - it works out nice. I purchase them at Target with my employee discount (-10%) then I also get another -5% for using my Target debit card... So, each $50 GC costs me $42.50. The only bummer - is that I have to buy in $50 or $25 incriments - and I am stuck with the 90 day return policy. I have 3 or 4 extra Disney GCs with me, that still have the original hang tags on them - so if I don't use them, I can return them when we get home.
When you purchase something on the GCs, the receipt will print out with the remaining balance on it (if my memory serves me correctly).
I paid for this entire trip with Disney GCs purchased at Target - and I haven't checked my final #s yet, but I've managed to save over $500 on this trip using all of my discounts... Not to mention we have FD - so it's an even better deal. 10 days in Disney for $2k - not too bad, I don't think.
I hate to say this, but I'm glad DH was able to pick up Ruf's things before you left. Now it won't be hanging over your head while you're away. I think it is a huge part of the healing process. We'll all be waiting to hear if there is a new baby when you arrive home. . .every person is different on when they're ready. I'm sure Ruf would be thrilled to know there is someone there to keep you company (NOT take his place)!
I know - it is just so sad. I washed his bowls last night for the last time. Even if we were to welcome a new puppy into the family - there are things that belong to Ruf that I just couldn't use again... Bowls, toys, bed and, of course, his collar.
It's just so hard because I am VERY torn... On one hand - the thought of a puppy in the house makes me excited and very nervous all at the same time (we are NOT puppy proofed at all - and Ruf never once bothered anything that wasn't his - except when he ate all of the Dutch chocolate last Christmas - but that's a whole 'nother story LOL)...
But on the other hand - it's just so lonely and sad here with out Ruf. I could never understand how people with pets could get another pet so quickly after their beloved pet has passed on - and now I know... There is just a huge void there - and the only way it seems to heal is with another pet? I dunno???

I was the culprit that bought our puppy Miley after our Shania passed. I waited about 6 months and it honestly has been a blessing and a curse.
It gave us 2.5 more years with our Reba. Miley brought life to the house. The curse is Miley is high strung. It has taken almost 3 years for her to calm down. Honestly if she wasn't so good with J I am not sure what we would of done. The nut lets J pull her tail and shove his hand down her throat.
We keep debating getting another dog right now but Miley was a hard puppy to raise (though it could of been we hadn't had a puppy in 12 years). I like coming home and knowing the dog is here. I also like knowing when G is at work that Miley is here. She is intimidating to look at but a big doofus.

We leave Friday and I haven't even begun. I have a couple of loads of laundry to do before we start packing. I really should make a list. Plus DH and I had a couple of new large projects come in this morning that have to be done this week. (Did I mention that we work together?) I better get off the DIS and get working!

Thank you Lisa... I was up and on FB/The Dis at 2:30 this morning, if that tells you anything... And I laid awake for an hour before I crawled out of bed. I am pretty sure that, if I am not able to nap on the plane (which I usually can't) - this will be a very loooooooong day...

I have to LOL at all the comments on the luggage... This was actually the luggage we purchased when we went to Europe last year - and Josh was mortified that it was a fuscha color... LOL The best part though - is not many people have this color, and it's really fun to make sure all your luggage gets on the plane.
Also very easy to find at baggage claim - however that doesn't apply to us on this leg of the trip.
Anyways - as I told Lisa above - I woke up at 1:30 this morning - thanks to a nice heartburn... So I laid there awake until 2:30 - when I decided to get up (then Josh yelled at me for getting up...
)... Brewed a pot of coffee and decided to kill some time on The Dis.
I have to wake the girls in an hour... Please pray that my girls are not crabby on this trip, if ever in their lives they get along - let it be now... Or those of you meeting us for the first time - you might be in for a treat...
Side note: For the first time ever, I did witness my girls giving eachother a hug -willingly, with out being prompted - and that was the other night after we got home from puttng Ruf to sleep. So there is hope that one day they might learn to love eachother - even if it's only in times of distress.
I still need to pack all of our last minute items... Chargers, power strip, phones, ipods, make-up and hair stuff.
I did manage to get my nails painted last night - the girls' too. The girls' turned out pretty cute - especially V's - she did a Goofy theme, each nail a different Goofy color and white dots... It kind of matches her skirt. Allison went with hot pink and white dots. And I did my Donald theme like I did a couple months ago as a test run.
I am a still a bit nervous about flying alone with the girls. We've done this before - so I am sure it will be fine. I am mostly worried about getting through security with out Josh... He usually goes through first and I take up the rear. I think I will send Alli through first and she can gather our stuff on the other side, while I wait for everything to go through.
I am also a little nervous about navigating MCO and finding ME - I have heard that it's a bit hard to find? I do know that it's located on the same side of the terminal that we come in on and it's on the first floor - so we need to ride the escilators down... Hopefully that will bring us close enough to the right spot that we can find it from there?
I am very anxious to find out which building at POFQ we are put in... I have heard that there really is no bad location - so I am really hoping that is the case. Honestly - I just hope we are on the side that's a bit closer to POR - that will just make our lives easier, I think.
Ok - so I've managed to kill an hour this morning writing in my own PTR... Now I only have 30 minutes until I need to wake the girls.
I wanted to take a short minute and thank everyone who has lurked, followed along, commented, waited, laughed and cried with me over these last few months. This has been a wonderful way for me to get into my Disney planning - and along the way - I got a great bonus... I have made some great friends - some of them I am lucky enough to meet this week... Some that I hope to meet this summer... And some that I hope to meet someday. Just - Thank you all - from the bottom of my heart for supporting me and helping me stick to my goal!
