~ Sew Sweet 16 ~I’m packing your angry eyes just in case~Aug 2014~ BFF' bag 8/20!!!!

Stopping in to say Hi! :wave2: Sounds like life is busy for you as always. :upsidedow

DH is going to be working on washing and re-staining our back deck this week. We are like you, we spend a lot of time there in the spring and summer. I LOVE to dine al freso! :cloud9:

We basically spent the whole weekend outdoors, the weather here was just gorgeous. I typically do not suffer from seasonal depression, but this long, drawn out winter this year began to really take a toll on my moods. So glad spring has finally arrived! :goodvibes

I love how you have added the "snacks to try" and "dismeets" to the bottom of your planning pages! That is new, right? :confused3

I know that more people read D's ptr than read mine, so I am posting this here.

Tomorrow (May 6) is surgery day for Kat. This is the surgery where they replace her colon - I'm not sure of the exact procedure, but this should be the final surgery for her. All good thoughts and prayers would be appreciated, greatly.

Thank you all so much, you guys are the best.

Oh goodness. this is a hard one.. My step Dad just had colon surgery and he said it was worse then he imagined.. So good thoughts and prayers for her!

I'm glad you got your custom order done (which I love by the way...saw it on FB!).

Instead of building a snowman this weekend, I built a rock garden and my body is telling me I did.

I love your Calendar Page for Typhoon Lagoon.

I forgot to post this here today...

I just love how it turned out! And I am really happy with the applique.

Love the new bag!

I've been reading along when I can, I'm so far behind. I do try to check your report at least once a day! They've blocked the DIS at work - it's like they don't trust us :rolleyes1 hahaha. Been too busy there anyway and it will get worse up until we're out for the summer ::yes::

I'm getting excited to see your little auction bags!!

Saw this over on your fanpage, it looks great. Love the lining fabric. Wery apropriate.

Your progress pictures are really inspiring! Way to go!

I love your calendar - very nice!

Thank you very much! :thumbsup2 It finally feels like I am making some progress.

Thanks! I debated on doing one for this trip - but everyone says the DME app is really glitchy - so I think it will be best if I have a hard copy of our plans yet.

YAY!!! the Chicago epic CRAZINESS is right around the corner!! I am so excited!

i am really excited for the auction.. i have set aside some $$ for it!!!

I am SUPER excited too! I cannot wait to see youz guyz!!!

Thanks for letting us know Tess, I will keep Kat in our prayers today. Please update us if you can. :grouphug:

Hi there Oopsi!!! It's great to see you! I've missed ya!

DH is going to be working on washing and re-staining our back deck this week. We are like you, we spend a lot of time there in the spring and summer. I LOVE to dine al freso!

We have to do that this year too... We were supposed to get it done last year - but we skipped out on it. This year it MUST be done.

We basically spent the whole weekend outdoors, the weather here was just gorgeous. I typically do not suffer from seasonal depression, but this long, drawn out winter this year began to really take a toll on my moods. So glad spring has finally arrived!

It's still pretty chilly here in the shade, but in the sun - it's been really nice. We have had a loto f rain though.

I love how you have added the "snacks to try" and "dismeets" to the bottom of your planning pages! That is new, right?

Nope, I did that for our last trip too... So far, I don't have any Dismeets planned... I know of a few people that will be down there with us - but we haven't scheduled anything yet. We need to get on that.

I'm glad you got your custom order done (which I love by the way...saw it on FB!).

Instead of building a snowman this weekend, I built a rock garden and my body is telling me I did.

I love your Calendar Page for Typhoon Lagoon.

THanks for the reminder to post it here Kathy- I forgot. LOL

Oooh - did you post pictures of the rock garden? If so, I missed them.

Thanks! I love doing them! They are so much fun!

Love the new bag!

THanks Stephanie! What??? They blocked the Dis??? They must have had good reason? :rotfl2:

I am glad everyone is excited about the auction... My door is filling up fast (it's where I always hang all my auction bags).

Saw this over on your fanpage, it looks great. Love the lining fabric. Wery apropriate.

THank you very much!

Love these! You have some talent, D!

Thanks! I love doing them!

I worked in my sewing room all day yesterday. I had a good day. I finished up my 4th little bag... Then I started on this week's custom order. I mangaged to get it cut out and quilted.

At about 1:30, I looked outside and noticed there wasn't a cloud in the sky. So, I hustled up with the remainder of quilting and I decided to enjoy an hour in the sun before the girls came home.

So, at 2pm, I threw on my swimsuit (a size 12, BTW... :woohoo:) and went out to lay on the deck. It was heavenly. I closed both gates and MM laid out there with me. When V came home... She treated MM to a swing on he swing...

She hasn't figured out yet... Just because she can't see me, doesn't mean I can't see her.

For dinner, I had made a whole chicken in the crock pot - it was very tasty. And now I have left-overs for a few days. Whoot!

Then we were lazy for the rest of the night.

Today, I work at Target. :worship:

Then after work, I am taking V to get her birthday present... She's requested highlights in her hair... So my stylist is doing that for her. Her birthday is on Thursday. :lovestruc

So, it should make a crazy night, because I will be home later than usual.

I hope you all have a wonderful day. Sending out prayers and good thoughts to all of you. :grouphug:

D~

Ohhh I cannot wait to see her with Highlights! HAPPY BIRTHDAY VICTORIA!!!!

You have nice enough weather for a swim suit?!? its 45 here. :sad2:

I have been in Oslo from Friday to Monday night so I had to catch up on your PTR.

Now the weather is great here and spring is starting to show. I will get the tires on my car changed on Friday :cool1:

What musical did you see with Alli? I love musicals and have been on many shows in London.

How great that you have done your 5 auction bags. I can't wait to see them all.

It sounds like a very good thing that Alli gets to see what Gus is doing and learn to know his family.

What a great Frost bag you have made. I haven't seen the movie yet, but one day I will.

I am back! Today should be my last crazy day at work for awhile.

Congrats on your progress on your auction bags! I know your auction is going to be a success. I have some friends who are Disney fans but don't DIS - I will be sure to point them in the direction of your auctions when the time comes.

It sounds like church and lunch with Gus went better than expected, so that is good. I don't envy your position at all, but I think letting Alli make her own decisions and figure out things for herself is the best thing for everyone in the long run - although in the short run, it's so hard. My high school sweetheart and I were very involved with one another's families - it was good and bad. I felt like having our parents involved (dinners, family outings, etc) made the relationship much more serious and mature than it otherwise would have been. When we broke up, it was hard because I was very close with his mom. I also had to share more with my parents than I otherwise would have, since they knew him so well. Good luck navigating all of this.

I had started a reply yesterday, but then had to get back to work before I could finish it. I will summarize - I worked from home yesterday due to Charlotte being sick (double ear infection and strep diagnosed on Saturday, 103 degree fever yesterday morning - after 2 days of antiobiotics). She is back to school and I am back to the office today.

Josh is smart to teach Alli to drive manual transmission. I never learned and I've never needed to know, but I sometimes wish I could. The only time I think it would come in handy is if I ever go on The Amazing Race :lmao:

Hope you have a great day at Target today! Love the Frozen bag! The fabrics are just perfect.

I think I may be starting a pre-trip report today for our potential Fall/Winter trip. If I get it up, I'll be back with a link :goodvibes

Kat update! Surgery is over, the bag is gone and Kat is in good spirits! Surgeon said everything went well.

How fun for Victoria for her birthday. :)

Glad you got more work done on your projects. You are on a roll my friend.

WOW! You've been busy!!! Lot going on here so I've been off the dis for a few days.

Happy things went well meeting Gus's family and seeing his life away from your house. Hope he does well on his finals!!

Loved the new bag!! I love how you put the white stripe in Anna's hair!!

You have nice enough weather for a swim suit?!? its 45 here.

I will let her know... She wouldn't let me take pictures of her hair last night... Sigh. Hopefully today - it turned out very nice. Very natural... It looks just like it did when she was little, before her hair started to darken.

I have been in Oslo from Friday to Monday night so I had to catch up on your PTR.

Thanks for checking in Lillian - I noticed you were gone. I hope you had a good time, and :woohoo: for being able to change your tires this week!

Allison and I saw "Evita"...

I am very excited to have my auction bags done... I am halfway there. I hope to start my next one this afternoon.

Yes, it is good that Alli was able to see a little of Gus' life.

Welcome back! It's good to see you.

I am back! Today should be my last crazy day at work for awhile.

Thanks Jennifer - I will take all the word of mouth I can get. :thumbsup2

I agree - I think that spending so much time with us as a family has maybe not been the best thing for them - but as I see it, we don't have a choice... She is still too young. IMO.

Awww... Poor Charlotte... I am glad to hear she is feeling better now though.

Yes, I think driving a manual transmisson is a good thing to know... I hope they go out a bit more too.

Yay!!! I saw your link posted below, I will stop by this morning. :thumbsup2

Kat update! Surgery is over, the bag is gone and Kat is in good spirits! Surgeon said everything went well.

Yay!!! Thanks for the update Tess, I am glad to hear that everything went well. I hope her recovery goes well too.

I am SO glad to hear this!!!! you have been on my mind all day!

I agree - me too.

Glad to hear the surgery went well!

Here is the link to my new pre-trip report

Free Dining Designing!

Thanks Jennifer - I will be stopping by shortly.

How fun for Victoria for her birthday.

Glad you got more work done on your projects. You are on a roll my friend.

Yes, I am excited for her, it turned out very nice.

Thanks... I just hope I can get it all done... I am starting to get nervous - only 3 more weeks left to do 5 bags + my custom orders. I don't think I will get them all done before Chicago. :/

WOW! You've been busy!!! Lot going on here so I've been off the dis for a few days.

Hi Sandra... I was hoping that everything was OK with you.

Yes, it did go well. I hope he does well too... We haven't heard much from him since Sunday - which is pretty normal during the week.

Thanks!

**********************************************************

Yesterday was a Target day, so I didn't do anything interesting. My day went well and fairly quickly.

Afterwards, I took V to get her highlights done. Angie did a great job - as usual... They turned out very nice and very natural looking. Her hair is the exact color is was when she was little, before it started turning darker. I really like it. It's not as dramatic as I expected it to be, but it's nice. She likes it a lot too.

Today, I will be in my sewing room all day. I will be starting/finishing the applique for my custom order. I hope to have it done before lunch, so I can take a few hours to cut out and (hopefully) quilt my next auction bag.

I hope you all have a wonderful day - sending out prayers and pixie dust to all! :grouphug:

D~

And where is the picture of V's new hair?

You have a busy day planned. But you are Super Woman and I have faith in you.

The Frozen bag turned out well. I'm glad you've been able to get so
much done.
I tried to post yesterday but somehow the post got lost and I didn't have time to redo it before work. I'm on vacation for the rest of the week to finish up last minute things for the wedding. It's hard to believe it's Saturday.
I'm glad your visit with Gus's family went well. Wish I could see V.'s hair.
Today it's finally supposed to get warm once the rain moves out.
Liz
