~ Sew Sweet 16 ~I’m packing your angry eyes just in case~Aug 2014~ BFF' bag 8/20!!!!

LOVE the tree glad you got it. yet it looks like MM isn't helping just laying around the way he is...
:sad2:
as for the pants... can't you just tear them apart and take them all in the way you want them? again talking to the most clueless sew person. Lucky i know how to spell S-E-W.

HI! I have been reading along, but just have not had time to post.
Work has kept me super busy during the day, exhausted by the evening and some how pushing myself to get ready for Christmas.
Glad everyone had a good Thanksgiving. Prayers for all who needs them!!!
I mentioned a while back that we were going to NYC to see the Radio City Christmas Spectacular...it was Spectacular!
So excited to see your SSP!!! Glad V made it home safe.
Well back to work I go.:crazy2:

Prayers to all who need them!!!

LOVE the latest bag with the ring hanging off the castle. What a fun way to remember a magical event. You did a great job incorporating the date on the applique. And BONUS for using your new machine. :)

I was so relieved to hear that V was on a new bus and finally made it home. What a LONG day. I'm sure she was stressed since they probably didn't know when the new bus would come.

Can't wait to see your new haircut. Impressive shopping trip. I can't believe your BFF already has 75% of her trip saved up already. :yay:

Funny about the Christmas village. I seem to put out less decorations each year. We finally got our tree up and I put about 1/4 of our ornaments on it. We have so many so I mostly put the ones on there that the kids have made over the years. Plus our Disney ornaments - I love looking at them and remembering all of our trips. Hung up the advent calendar (10 days late) and that is pretty much it! The late Thanksgiving holiday has made it harder to get into the swing of Christmas for me. :santa:

Excited to see your SSP reveal.

I'm finally back and all caught up! I think your PTR was the last one I needed to catch up on so now I can go back and concentrate on mine again. :rotfl: As I said on my TR, Mom and I had a wonderful time over Thanksgiving shopping. I've got all of my Christmas shopping done, now I just need to get it all wrapped and in the mail since most of my gifts go out of state. Wish I had a helper with the wrapping, it's not something I enjoy much either.

What a stressful day for V! I hope it doesn't sour her for future trips because some of my best memories are from trips like that. We did have one horrible trip to Bush Gardens for marching band. The tour guide they hired just tried to cram too much stuff into the trip and we were all exhausted by the end. Oh, and we had a bus break down oh the way there too. They just put everyone from that bus on the other two buses. There were kids sleeping in the aisles since we drove there during the night. Looking back that was probably not a good idea at all!

I loved the new bag design with Piglet! Very cute and the castle bag is beautiful too. Oh no, another crazy days auction? :scared1: Not sure my wallet can handle that. :rotfl2: Looking forward to seeing the SSP this week on Facebook.

That reminded me we took an overnight trip to Magic Mountain when I was a JR we slept in the luggage bin above the seats.....I know that was a bad idea..but we arrived safe and sound........:stir:

Gotta tell you my big news D~.....one of the programs I am in charge of in our building is sending me to a conference...in Feb....in ORLANDO!!! It is not on site, but just barely off of it!! Yep!! A mini-solo Dis trip! I will get some time the first day I am there for a whole park day and then have evenings for a dinner somewhere for a couple nights. Its only me that gets to go, so it will be soooo weird, but kinda excited to try things and scout out some things for future trips! I am thinking of doing the Keys to the Kingdom tour at MK my only non-conference day. My mind is on overload the past couple of days on how I am going to spend as much time as possible doing something Disney related from 5- close each day of the conference!

I totally understand... I was one of those who never had morning sickness - but WOW, I could sleep all day every day through both of my pregnancies.

I could sleep all day to if possible. But unfortunately that's not possible with 3 kids and 2 different pick up times. Thankfully I have a couple neighbors that are more than happy to help me get the kids home from school so I can get a little extra sleep when needed.

I am glad you were able to get some cleaning done - Nothing ever stays clean here for long, and it seems, by the time I am done with one room and on to the next, the first room is a disaster already. Sigh. I figured it would get better the older the girls get, but it's just different stuff. LOL

It was nice to have things picked up for a little bit. :rotfl2: I clean, turn my back, clean another room and go back to the first room and see that it's back to a mess. :confused3 Thankfully I can keep the kids out of the kitchen so that stays pretty clean. Jeremy can be a big help when he wants to be. Once of the things he has to do after school before he gets to watch TV is pick up all the toys in our living room and depending on the day that can take him 5 mins or an hour.

Yah - she is doing much better. It was just that first half hour off of the bus... She was getting so mad, because the bus driver kept circling "Robot City" (what we call an ethenol plant nearby) because he would miss his exit... She texted me... "Mom, I don't think the driver knows how to get home, we've passed Robot City 3 times"... LOL I think that was her last straw. :crowded:

Glad to hear she's doing better. I don't blame her at all for getting upset about the bus driver missing his exit that many times. Hopefully next time there's no bus problems and they have a driver that knows where they are going.

LOL I don't eat anything I was holding either... Although - I was a little tempted by that Reeses - just to say that I'd eaten one. LOL But I left it behind. I am shocked you only have 6 weeks left! It is going by so quickly! It seems like just last week you told us all you were pregnant! Have you been able to maintain good numbers with just your diet?

Peanut Butter cups are my weakness or a Hershey bar and peanut butter. I'm 32 1/2 weeks tomorrow and I agree this pregnancy is going by faster than I thought it would. I wanted to enjoy it and I did for the most part. Now I'm just ready to be done. I've been having the Braxton hicks contractions off and on for the last 2 days and this is the earliest I've ever felt them. I have a feeling this baby is going to come early. I have an appointment tomorrow and will hopefully get to see the baby because she's planning on doing an ultrasound and measuring the baby and see how it's positioned. Everyone I've talked to that has had gestational diabetes has had their baby a couple weeks early. That's why I'm guessing I only have about 6 weeks to go. I've been doing great the last couple of weeks.

My Dr. wanted to put me on medication at my last appointment 2 weeks ago to help control my fasting numbers but I was able to talk her out of it since we had just changed the time I'd be eating my evening snack a couple days before I saw her. So she was willing to wait a couple weeks and see what my numbers did. They dropped and have stayed low ever since. I've also gotten all my meal numbers down lower too. Makes me feel good knowing I was able to do this without medication and just by watching what I eat.

Yeah for the next bag. I'm sure we all can't wait to see what character your doing.

That's great you guys were finally able to get your tree up and decorated. I love watching my little one's decorate ours but most of my ornaments end up on the bottom half. :rotfl2: So I have my favorite one's (breakable) that I put higher up on the tree and DH puts on the tree topper.

So much has happened since I've been on! I posted on FB how much I loved the castle bag, but it bears repeating! Beautiful job!!

So sorry about the bus fiasco with Victoria, but happy for the safe landing. Dan and I were chaperones for four years while our youngest, Emily was in high school band. We traveled A LOT! We tried to care for each of the kids as though they were our own, knowing how hard it would be for us if we couldn't be there. I totally understand the "break" of emotions once it was all done. It just builds up and builds up with no where to go. The relief is just overwhelming. Glad they got a couple extra hours of sleep the next morning!

Ok, so I didn't get to Virginia until Monday. Jennifer had said if I couldn't come, she would be fine. But I'm so glad I'm here! She is barely able to get around and had to go back to two crutches all last week. Her MIL was here last week, but she wasn't a lot of help. Bless her for trying, but she was just clueless. So Jen did a lot more than she should have. Her PT was cancelled yesterday because of the snowstorm that hit the area. They just aren't able here in Virginia to handle any snow accumulation. So, tomorrow will be her first PT. She's hoping to get some exercises to do at home. Right now, she can't straighten her leg or bend it. The dr said the entire back of her femur was gone and had to be replaced. It hurts to rest the back of her leg against anything, but there's not a lot she can do about that. She is off her pain meds and just takes ibuprofen. I'm just glad I'm here!

I love your Christmas tree and so glad you got it up and decorated. It always feels more like Christmas as soon as that's done. Too bad I can't wrap everyone's presents for them. I absolutely LOVE doing it! It is a highlight of the season for me. I know, weird.

Oops! I just noticed what time it is and I have to go pack Selah's and Bob's lunches for them and get breakfast for the troops. Just wanted to say what a fabulous shopping trip you did!! I was truly impressed! Thanks so much for the continued concern and prayers for Jennifer. I really appreciate them so much!

And Tess, I'm so sorry to hear about Gwen. I'll be saying prayers for her and her family. You are always so good to remember Jennifer and I do so appreciate it.

Also, quickly, Sandra, why not "forget" to get gifts for your DH and see if that doesn't jog his memory for next year. After all you do for your home and family, you deserve a few surprises on Christmas morning!! I'm sure your DH is wonderful in so many ways, but I hate the thought of you without gifts when everyone else has them.

Okay, going now. I just had to connect with you, D~ and so many of the beautiful people on here. Have a fabulous day!!

I took an unexpected snow day today. It started snowing about 6 this morning and it is coming down hard. I tried to get to work, I really did! I got to the interstate and 4 miles up it was blocked with a long line of tractor trailers stopped on a hill. I decided I didn't really want to sit there for another hour or so, so I got off the exit. Still took me about an hour to get back home - 8 miles from my house. Now I have to adjust my vacation time over Christmas .

No word yet on Gwen - she goes to Honolulu today, so I should know something by this evening.

Since I have an unexpected day off, I plan to get some sewing done!

Glad you took a day off - sounds like it was a wise choice. And very happy you were able to get back home safely.

If you hear anything about Gwen - please let us know, she is in our continued prayers.

Yay for getting some sewing done! So, whatdidja do?

I'm finally back and all caught up! I think your PTR was the last one I needed to catch up on so now I can go back and concentrate on mine again. As I said on my TR, Mom and I had a wonderful time over Thanksgiving shopping. I've got all of my Christmas shopping done, now I just need to get it all wrapped and in the mail since most of my gifts go out of state. Wish I had a helper with the wrapping, it's not something I enjoy much either.

I"d be happy to send one of my girls to help you wrap - but unfortunately, they are more of a "moral" support.

I hope not too... I also hope, when we tell her to pack extra clothes now, just in case the bus gets stranded, she will probably take us seriously. :thumbsup2

I loved the new bag design with Piglet! Very cute and the castle bag is beautiful too. Oh no, another crazy days auction? Not sure my wallet can handle that. Looking forward to seeing the SSP this week on Facebook.

Thanks! Hahaha... Not sure my body/mind can handle making stuff for a crazy days auction again... It's so much work and not something I am looking forward to. :rolleyes1

D, I have to admit I skimmed (yours is only the 3rd PTR/TR I've gotten to since getting home Sunday afternoon). I love the Piglet and Cinderella bags. I'm glad you are able to help out your dad; family is always first in my book.

I love your Christmas tree.

Welcome home Kathy! I need to go venture out to see if you've started a new TR yet.

LOVE the tree glad you got it. yet it looks like MM isn't helping just laying around the way he is...

He "helps" alright... Very similar to Stevies "helping" but not quite. MM is taller than Stevie, so he doesn't have to tip anything over to get into it, he just grabs n' runs.

as for the pants... can't you just tear them apart and take them all in the way you want them? again talking to the most clueless sew person. Lucky i know how to spell S-E-W.

For the most part, yes I can. But they attached the waistband with a cover stitch serger - which I don't have... I would need to take the waistband off, and I am not sure, at this point, how I would reattach it. If I were just to cut it up the side and resew it together, it would be really bulky and I would think it would be scratchy/uncomfortable. I might work on it a bit this weekend. I have a feeling it will be a lot more work than the $5 it cost me to purchase them in the first place. LOL

HI! I have been reading along, but just have not had time to post.

Well back to work I go

Prayers to all who need them!!!

Hi Lynee! THanks for stopping by - it's great to see you! Sorry that work is so busy and it's taking away from your Dis time. :rolleyes1

It sounds like the Radio City Christmas Specatcular was awesome! I should google it to see if there are any photos from this year - to see what it's all about. :thumbsup2

Thank you for the prayers for everyone! I am glad to hear you are well and just busy. I hope you have a great holiday season, and it slows down a little bit for you. :wizard:

LOVE the latest bag with the ring hanging off the castle. What a fun way to remember a magical event. You did a great job incorporating the date on the applique. And BONUS for using your new machine.

THanks LIz! Yah - I was super excited to have a real project for my new machine just as soon as it was delivered.

I was so relieved to hear that V was on a new bus and finally made it home. What a LONG day. I'm sure she was stressed since they probably didn't know when the new bus would come.

Me too! Thank you! She didn't seem really stressed in her texts until about that last hour of her bus ride - then I think she was DONE with it all. LOL I would have been done with it a LONG time before that.

Can't wait to see your new haircut. Impressive shopping trip. I can't believe your BFF already has 75% of her trip saved up already.

Thanks! I am very happy with how it turned out - I am so happy to look "normal" again. My stylist was impressed that I waited so long... I gave her an extra tip this time because my hair was beyond saving. She had to give me a cut to tide me over, because I am trying to grow it back out to my inverted bob... But I kind of like this cut and I may just keep it for a while? :confused3

I know! I cannot believe that BFF almost has her trip paid off... She is a much better saver than I am. In my defence though - she is a single mom - and my DH doesn't know about our trip yet, so stashing large amounts of $$ isn't the easiest thing to accomplish in my house. Especially before Christmas. :rolleyes1

This year has been incredibly difficult for me, as well. I agree - the late Thanksgiving just really put a damper in the whole season.

Excited to see your SSP reveal.

I am excited to share it with all of you too! I think we are starting sneak peeks tomorrow. :thumbsup2

That reminded me we took an overnight trip to Magic Mountain when I was a JR we slept in the luggage bin above the seats.....I know that was a bad idea..but we arrived safe and sound........

LOL - Yah - that sounds a little uncomfortable. Glad you arrived safe n' sound though.

Gotta tell you my big news D~.....one of the programs I am in charge of in our building is sending me to a conference...in Feb....in ORLANDO!!! It is not on site, but just barely off of it!! Yep!! Hey Mike!!! It's great to see you! How awesome you get to have a solo trip to Orlando - and how fun that you get to "scope" out another trip. I would totally do the KTTK tour - it's the perfect time to do it with out the kiddos. It sounds like it's going to be the perfect amount of Disney magic to tide you over until you can start planning your next family trip. That should be coming soon, right? LOL

I could sleep all day to if possible. But unfortunately that's not possible with 3 kids and 2 different pick up times. Thankfully I have a couple neighbors that are more than happy to help me get the kids home from school so I can get a little extra sleep when needed.

Exactly - I hope so too. :thumbsup2

Yeah for the next bag. I'm sure we all can't wait to see what character your doing.

Thanks! I am excited to show you all - this project has taken me so long to do, not because it was hard, but my brain was just having a hard time finishing it - it's soooo nice not to have anything over my head in my sewing room. For now. LOL

That's great you guys were finally able to get your tree up and decorated. I love watching my little one's decorate ours but most of my ornaments end up on the bottom half. So I have my favorite one's (breakable) that I put higher up on the tree and DH puts on the tree topper.

I remember those days... Those were some great memories. Such a wonderful time!

**********************************************************

Phew... Well - I worked in my sewing room all morning. I was able to cut out and start stitching the applique for my custom order this week. Unfortunately, I have a few appointments today, so stitching out the applique will be an intermittant thing.

I was able to find someone to take my shift today, so I could get to all of these appointments.

My hair cut/color took almost 4 hours yesterday! GULP! I felt so badly... but it turned out great. I am trying to grow my hair back out to my inverted bob, so she had to give me a style this time to "bridge" that, since my hair isn't quite long enough. I really like this cut and I may just keep it. Here's a photo my stylist took for me... I don't think it shows my cut very well, or my color/highlights - I think it's the angle & the fact that she took it so close to my face? I'll try to get a better one for you all at some point soon. I am just happy to be "normal" again. LOL

th_20131210_160036.jpg

Sorry - I had to come back and thumbnail that photo - LOL - I was scrolling down and all of a sudden BAM there is my huge face. LOL

I hope you all have a wonderful day today! Sending out prayers for all who need them! :)

D~

Love the color and cut!!!

I haven't started my TR yet...hopefully Friday or weekend.

Good Morning D!

Love the new haircut!!!:thumbsup2

I plan to cut mine short and get highlights this spring. I'm really nervous about too because I haven't had short hair in years but I figure since I'm going for a "new" me I might as well go all the way!:cool1:

He "helps" alright... Very similar to Stevies "helping" but not quite. MM is taller than Stevie, so he doesn't have to tip anything over to get into it, he just grabs n' runs.

That's Lex with the grab and Go. Stevie just runs to the couch to had his stuff Lex it a little harder!!!

For the most part, yes I can. But they attached the waistband with a cover stitch serger - which I don't have... :confused3 this is all greek...

Sorry - I had to come back and thumbnail that photo - LOL - I was scrolling down and all of a sudden BAM there is my huge face. LOL

OK OK i un-thumbnailed it because I COULDN'T SEE IT!!!
but out of respect i put it small again for you... It's really cute and you can see how much weight you have lost in this picture too...

I hope you all have a wonderful day today! Sending out prayers for all who need them! :)

Update on Gwen - she was scheduled for surgery today, however its been postponed until Friday. I don't know the reason yet that it was postponed, so I will just ask for continued prayers. My nephew is on his way to Honolulu now and was afraid he would not get there before his mom went into surgery, Gwen will be in the hospital at least a week after surgery. My brother and her nephew are in Honolulu with her.

I did get a lot accomplished in my sewing room yesterday. Kate's quilt is nearly finished, and I managed to cut out 5 bags that I can start sewing together this weekend.

D~ if you pm me a picture of your pjs I might be able to help.

Love the haircut and color. I got highlights in my hair last time I was in and I love them. I'm trying to let my hair grow out. I knew when I got it layered I'd be sorry - I usually am.

Continued prayers for Jennifer and anyone else that needs them. :grouphug:

Brief update: The surgery was postponed because the surgeon wants to insert a disk to assist with radiation treatments and it won't be at the hospital until Friday. We have been inundating facebook with prayer requests. The marvel of using social media!

Thank you for the idea I may just have to do that. :rotfl2: I do have his things bought (just need to wrap them) but I could always conveniently "forget" to put them under the tree. He is great in so many other ways one big one is by me being able to stay home with our children. He also puts up with my Disney obsession. He did tell me the other day though that it looks like I'll be getting a new over the oven microwave for Christmas because ours went out about a week ago (thankfully we still had our one that goes on the counter so we're able to use that for now). :rotfl2: I just looked at him like he was crazy. And I do know that after the baby is born I'm getting a Mother's Necklace that I saw a couple months ago and fell in love with but told him that we should wait until the baby arrives so we can make sure it is going to have a January birthday since my due date is January 31 and he could always come late (but I just have a feeling he's coming early.) I do have a couple things to put under the tree for me but the only problem is I know what they all are and will be wrapping them myself once I get to wrapping. Want to come and do all my wrapping? :rotfl2: I love shopping for it but hate wrapping it.

Prayers for Jennifer.

I wish you could get all the rest your body wants you to have. I am glad you have good neighbors though - there's nothing better!

I wish I could too. But I take what I can get and try not to complain too much. Yeah they are pretty great and the best part is their kids and mine are all friends so even if I don't tell the kids that their friend's parent is picking them up they know it's ok to go with them because some of the pick ups are literally last minute where I'm just waking up 5 mins before pick up and calling the parent's to see if they can get my child also. But they've done the same to me so it's all worked out.

I've given both Jeremy and Sarah a list of people who they are allowed to go with if I'm not there to pick them up and I haven't told them in advance. The school and teacher's also have the list so there haven't been any problems thankfully.

It does sound like Jeremy is a big helper for you - that's good.

He is a big help. But he just doesn't want to "help" with the baby once he's here. Sarah on the other hand already said she want's to do everything she can for the baby to help me. I told her to start helping me now with other things so I can see she can help but that hasn't gone over very well yet.

I hope your appointment goes well. And I am so proud of you for being able to control this with your diet! Good for you!

Thank you!! I'm pretty happy with the results since I've been able to change my diet.

I had my appointment today and the plan is to now to go in every 2 weeks and she'll do an ultrasound to see the position of the baby and measure it. Today the babies head was at the top of my belly. He hasn't flipped yet but it is still early for that so we're ok there. Size looked good to. She was very happy with my numbers so I've been able to avoid medication for now. She did say as long as I keep my numbers under control and that the baby doesn't get to big she'll just let things take it's course and won't induce unless it's absolutely necessary. So here's to hoping the baby stays a healthy size and weight and turns when he's supposed to and I can have another natural delivery.

Thanks! I am excited to show you all - this project has taken me so long to do, not because it was hard, but my brain was just having a hard time finishing it - it's soooo nice not to have anything over my head in my sewing room. For now. LOL

It's always nice to not have anything hanging over your head. But if we know you you'll find something else that will take it's place. :lmao: Friday can't get here soon enough so we can see what it is!!

I remember those days... Those were some great memories. Such a wonderful time!

We're enjoying making the memories. I was so busy helping the kids figure out which ornament was whose that I wasn't able to take any pictures. But I am hoping to take one of them in front of the tree in the next couple days. Got to get our Christmas cards out and we always include a picture of at least the kids in it.

Glad you were able to spend some time in your sewing room. I think I know who this next bag is going to so I really can't wait to see how it turns out!!

Love the new hair cut!! Looks great!

So much has happened since I've been on! I posted on FB how much I loved the castle bag, but it bears repeating! Beautiful job!!

Thanks Lois! I think we were posting at the same time yesterday morning... I am glad to see you here and I hope that things are going easier for you this time, although reading below - it doesn't sound that way.

It just builds up and builds up with no where to go. The relief is just overwhelming. Glad they got a couple extra hours of sleep the next morning!

Thanks Lois. I don't think there were any chaperones with them for this trip? Just the teachers... It was a relatively small group - so small, that they picked up another local school on the way to "fill the bus".

This is just awful... I am so glad you are there for her too! I cannot imagine the pain she is in. I am glad you are there though, so she can get some proper rest and heal... HOpefully you can sneak in a nap or two occasionally, so you can recharge as well. I wish Jen was closer - I would come help out in a heartbeat. :wizard:

I love your Christmas tree and so glad you got it up and decorated. It always feels more like Christmas as soon as that's done. Too bad I can't wrap everyone's presents for them. I absolutely LOVE doing it! It is a highlight of the season for me. I know, weird.

Thanks - I am so relieved to have it up and decorated too, you are right - it does feel more like Christmas now. YOu can come and wrap all of our gifts, if you'd like... I am the worst wrapper ever.

As always... Many prayers go out to Jennifer and the rest of your family. I pray her healing goes much better now, and her pain stays tolerable. THanks for stopping by, and know that you are often in my thoughts. :lovestruc

Love the color and cut!!!

I haven't started my TR yet...hopefully Friday or weekend.

THanks Kathy! I am liking it... However, I do hate that I can't wash it for 3 days after I have it colored - because the red is so deep, my stylist likes me to avoid washing it for as long as possible...

Looking forward to your next TR!

Good Morning D!

Love the new haircut!!!:t

I plan to cut mine short and get highlights this spring. I'm really nervous about too because I haven't had short hair in years but I figure since I'm going for a "new" me I might as well go all the way!

Hi Tasha! It's great to see you! It was nice having a little chat yesterday morning. :thumbsup2 Ooh - I am very excited to see what you do to your hair! I hope you'll share pics here or on FB.

That's Lex with the grab and Go. Stevie just runs to the couch to had his stuff Lex it a little harder!!!

Hahaha... I cannot wait to meet these two hooligans!

OK OK i un-thumbnailed it because I COULDN'T SEE IT!!!
but out of respect i put it small again for you... It's really cute and you can see how much weight you have lost in this picture too...

Thanks! I think my cheeks are still really huge - but my double chin is finally going away - for the most part. LOL

Love the haircut!

Thanks Lois! I am loving it too.

I am sorry to hear this... My continued prayers go out to Gwen and the rest of your family.

I did get a lot accomplished in my sewing room yesterday. Kate's quilt is nearly finished, and I managed to cut out 5 bags that I can start sewing together this weekend.

Awesome!

D~ if you pm me a picture of your pjs I might be able to help.

I will try to get that done over the next few days... Trying to wrap up my custom order for the week and prep for this SSP thing on Friday... HOpefully over the weekend?

Love the haircut and color. I got highlights in my hair last time I was in and I love them. I'm trying to let my hair grow out. I knew when I got it layered I'd be sorry - I usually am.

Continued prayers for Jennifer and anyone else that needs them.

I agree - I love having highlights... We did this burgundy color last year at Christmas time, and I loved it so much - I decided to keep it. Although, the girls tell me that this time it's really DARK - they say it's almost a dark purple. I am trying to grow my hair out too - but I really like this cut, so I may keep it. We'll see....

Really like the haircut.

Prayers and good thoughts for all those in need.

Thanks Liz! :lovestruc

Brief update: The surgery was postponed because the surgeon wants to insert a disk to assist with radiation treatments and it won't be at the hospital until Friday. We have been inundating facebook with prayer requests. The marvel of using social media!

Thanks for the update Tess... Gwen has our continued prayers.

D~ saw this picture and thought of you:

Even the rich and famous rock the fanny pack.

Darn, can't figure out how to post the picture - just the link. But it is Neil Patrick Harris in Hollywood Studios sporting a Mickey fanny pack. I guess he's not a lucky owner of a D~ original.

Hahaha... That is too funny. As far as I know, I don't have any celebrity orders on the horizon. :confused3

Thank you for the idea I may just have to do that. I do have his things bought (just need to wrap them) but I could always conveniently "forget" to put them under the tree. I love shopping for it but hate wrapping it.

LOL - I am the same way, I love shopping for it - hate wrapping it.

That is awesome! I used to do the same thing with the girls, thankfully it was pretty rare that I wasn't able to pick them up myself.

He is a big help. But he just doesn't want to "help" with the baby once he's here. Sarah on the other hand already said she want's to do everything she can for the baby to help me. I told her to start helping me now with other things so I can see she can help but that hasn't gone over very well yet.

Hahaha... I shouldn't laugh - but I could see my girls being exactly the same way.

Hopefully everything goes well, and he will move when he is supposed to... HOpefully his weight stays good too.

It's always nice to not have anything hanging over your head. But if we know you you'll find something else that will take it's place. Friday can't get here soon enough so we can see what it is!!

Hahaha... Yah - that's probably true... must always have a side project going on.

Thanks! That reminds me... I have some great now n' thens of the girls in front of the tree... I should dig them out and post them one of these days.

**********************************************************

Yesterday was kind of a chaotic day for me...

I lifted in the morning...

Then to my sewing room for an hour to work on my custom order applique.

Then I had to get ready to go to town.

The girls had an appointment...

Then the grocery store...

Then home again to work on my applique for a couple hours. I finished it - WHOOT!

Then back to school to pick up Victoria.

Then to Target to get milk, because I'd forgotten it earlier in the day.

Then home to make dinner.

Then - finally - we sat down to watch a movie... Christmas with the Kranks - one of my favorites. I laugh sooo hard - eventhough I have seen this movie a bazillion times... The part where Mr Krank gets botox... Hahaha! And then the part where the police officers pick up their daughter at the airport with the "N. Reeky" sign... Gosh - I laugh so hard that I cry during those parts.

Finally it was bed time.

I hope to finish my custom order bag today. Not sure if I will get to the wallet or not - depending on how it goes. Otherwise I have all day tomorrow to get that done.

Then I am scheduled off for holiday break... Sort of. You know me... I do have an auction next week - so I will be working on my auction bag. I also have a bag I plan to start "on the side" - so I am hoping to get that cut out and quilted during my Christmas break. Otherwise - I am going to be "sloth-like" and devote some time to my sorely neglected house, and just enjoying the family.

I hope all of you have a wonderful day... Sending out prayers to all in need. :lovestruc
