Sew much to do, sew little time - but it was worth it! New PTR link posted! ~~~~~~~~~

Darn Dis... Double post on a trip update, no less...

D~

It was all JUDY!

Remember, I am innocent. I was trying to be good and babysit your ptr while you were gone (forgot, where did you go?) and Judy came along and messed it all up!

For Judy's eyes only: Thanks for your help my dear partner in crime :)

I know, I know... I just can't resist this little darling... He has totally stolen our hearts - with good reason...

Allison snapped the picture last night, mid-stretch... Isn't he cute???
IMG_4800.jpg

And then she couldn't resist, and had to cuddle him... I have visions of a 70lb lap dog in our future.
IMG_4804.jpg

Allison was playing with MM and his pheasant this morning... :lovestruc
IMG_4816.jpg

Then, he was *helping* Josh make dinner tonight...
IMG_4822.jpg

And, we must say this very, very quitely, but he had one little tiny accident in the house today... :wizard:

Okay - so forgive me, but I really need to pin this recipe and I can't think of how else to do it . . . I had to add a picture to it because it didn't have any illustration . . .

But this is one of my favorite salads for potlucks and picnics. . .

Now back to your regularly scheduled TR!

Oh yes Cheryl... We could bring the twins!!! Excellent idea Marianne! :thumbsup2

D~ <---- who finally made it into her sewing room today.

Woot! for making it to the sewing room today! I make it into mine every day - since it's the dining room which is also a part of my kitchen :rotfl2:

Glad you like the idea of bringing the twins - maybe we could come up with special carriers for them so they can hang off of our UPBs???

As you recall from my recent PTR, I LOVE sports -- all kinds-- fishing, football, golf, lacrosse, bowling, NASCAR, basketball, expecially basketball. In fact I recently honored my love of athletics by staying at All-Star Sports.

Well, tonight the heavens align in a way that they don't often align and my alma mater (Syracuse) will be playing my husband's alma mater (Ohio State).

Truth be told, everything in the first paragraph is completely false. (Except for staying at All-Star Sports which I only did because I'm working my way through the resorts and it was the last value on the list.) I don't care one whit about sports, but I DO CARE are whipping my husband's alma mater, so make sure you cheer on the Orange tonight.

Please. :flower3:

Go Orange! I can't cheer for TOS . . . I'm a Gator fan . . .so yes, of course, Go Orange! (and the Gators choked --- AGAIN  )

Unless you want two little blonde-headed boys showing up on your doorstep, you might want to warn me before posting any more MM pictures . . . the boys are GAGA over him!

Yes, D~. The root beer water is the river...which mysteriously clears once you get to DTD!

We have been trying to figure out what they put in the water to make it so brown... it can't be naturally occurring if it clears so well in such a short space! (she said the water in DTD looked more like Mountain Dew!)

But it looks very authentic...very much like the Mississippi in Louisiana.

Nini

Usually brown water comes from the tannin in the surrounding vegetation. It's the same thing that makes brewed tea brown. I happened to learn that when I was little on a trip to the Wisconsin Dells. The river water is brown there too and our boat tour guide told us the reason. The water on the lake is clearer because there's much more water in proportion to trees and plants. At WDW, where they plan such things, there might be different plant life around the water in DTD than along the river banks. I never paid attention, but now I'm curious.

Loving your trip report D~!

Of course, looking through my photos I see I did not get a single picture of the vegetation change as you head into DTD.... I will next trip!

I am on hold with Disney listening to Zippedee Doodah from Splash Mtn...appropriate for D~'s trip report! I am trying to get my ADRs...unfortunately, the online system is not working this morning! At least not working right!

Yes, he is such a big helper! ROFL... He also things Alli is a buffet. :confused3 I told her that she needs full battle gear when she's playing with MM.

That looks AMAZING!!! I forgot to tell you the verdict on your chicken crockpot recipe the other night. The family really liked it a lot. It was a bit runny when there was still about an hour left - so I added a can of refried beans. It was still a bit runny when it was time to eat, so I added some cornstarch to thicken it up. I served rice on the side and cheese on top - DH insisted on adding some hot sauce... Very delicious!!! And it makes a super mongo batch - guess what we are having for lunch today???? :lovestruc

ROFL - we'd love to have 2 adorable little blonde-headed boys running around our house... maybe they'd actually wear out MM? LOL

ACK!!! I really want to be on the phone with Disney right now, and I really want to be making ADRs... :rolleyes1 So sad. I hope you get everything you want Nini - are the online reservations down too?

We had a fun night last night...

Our neighbors had a bonfire, so we took MM with us... at first he has super riled up. But after about a half hour, he calmed down and fell asleep - he was so cute!

He had a really great day yesterday! He has definately made the correlation between potty outside = treat... Sometimes I think he goes potty just to get the treat. LOL Totally fine with me. He had one accident in the house yesterday, and that was because of human error. I was so proud of him! He did have two pooh accidents in his kennel during the night though - Josh still hasn't made it smaller - so if he has to go - he just poohs on the other end. So, at 1am, I got to clean out his kennel and wash the pad. I woke to him barking downstairs at 2 am - and he had another small accident. I am convinced it's because the neighbor let him have a bone, and it probably went through him pretty quickly - he's never had a bone before, and even though he just chewed on this one and didn't actually eat any of it - he might have gotten some marrow, and that always made Ruf a bit weird too. MM has had a great morning too... He is just so cute!

I plan to go up to my sewing room in a little bit. I need to get some work done up there - it's kind of a dreary day here anyways. I am excited to use Patience - I haven't touched her since I've been home.

I may try to do another update later today.

D~

Absolutely love, the pictures of Max! What's wrong with a 70 pound lap dog? I have a 120 pound lap dog. :rotfl:

So, we had just met Goofy - what a time that was.

We were so high on :cloud9: I think it propelled us right to Soarin'!

Corri, the girls and I rode Soarin together, we asked to be seated in the front row and the CMs were kind enough to oblige us.

IMG_3339.jpg

Once we came out - we grabbed FP for Soarin' for later.

IMG_3359.jpg

Then we had to stop at a gift shop... After much contimplation by both girls - V got a Goofy Duffy Bear and A got her sequin Mickey Ears...

D~

Great photos of your escapades. I love the Goofy dress -- have seen it before but don't think I commented.

And you're wearing your shorts (capris?). Any comments from the tourists or CMs or random people?

You all look great with your bags. When all is said and done, how was the szie for you?

 Guess I should have made this a sticky on your TR. I don't think enough people saw it.

I emailed it to myself. It looks yummy.

Very nice!

great photos from around the WS...love your hair bows on your keens!
:woohoo: for Max, sounds like he's figuring this all out! love all the cute photos of him, lots of puppy
hope you and Patience have a great day together :goodvibes

I'm getting :laundy: and packing done today....5 days until we leave and I have about 10% so not like me :confused3

have a great Sunday!

Victoria got a Duffy!!! You know her Goofy Duffy does not have the evil smile that Anakin's does. Love the pics around World Show case. We missed the Mickey, Minnie, Donald topiaries when we walked around the showcase. Nice to see them here!

Your new puppy is just the cutest! Those pictures are adorable.

Loving all your photos. You're getting me excited for the Flower Fest!

Too bad about Donald. My friend & I had the best Donald when we went to see him with our half marathon medals. It really stinks that he didn't take more care signing your bag.:headache:

Goofy was awesome!!!! What fun!!!!

Max sure is adorable! I however can't help but think Mad Max when you call him MM.

Hey D,

I remember a female CM liking our outfits when we went to see Daisy and when we went over to Stitch she was now over there. She had made a comment about us following her. She actually suggested us going to the Character spot because the lines would be short at that part of the day. I know it is strange the things I remember.

I also remember you sending V off after that CM before TT to pin trade and than meeting that older couple that we were standing by before RD. I also remember you got that cute pin when we were at the shop but fogot that A bought those glitter ears. :confused3

I am so glad that V got that goofy duffy bear. I thought of her the second I saw it. It was to cute that she wanted pictures of it around the world.:thumbsup2

I've been on spring break with only my iPhone for internet access, so I just had a lot of fun catching up with your report. Sounds like you had a wonderful time so far. I'm absolutely loving all your custom stuff.

D~

Hmm . . .I wonder why it was so runny? Ours wasn't at all. Did you use regular or lite cream cheese? It definitely takes regular. I used 3 chicken breasts (what was left in the big bag o' chicken from Costco), drained the can of rotel and also drained the can of beans... did you drain them?

Glad, though, overall, that you liked it :)

I'd forgotten about your water bottle holder! Great idea!

Hmm . . .now, what could I mail those two little blonde boys to you in? Any ideas? They're still too young to fly as unaccompanied minors :rolleyes1 They would TOTALLY work for romps in the yard with MM and some food. They LOVE sleeping on the floor, so you could just give them each a blanket next to MM's crate. . .

I emailed it to myself. It looks yummy.

:cheer2: You get an A for Attempting.

Sorry :( I tried.

I am SO unmotivated to sew today. I really need to get my BG items done and I have two Easter shirts to make for my boys . . . but allergies are killing me and I just want to zone out in my bed.:sad2:

See...I NEED to sew...but I don't want to! I NEED to get my house clean... but I don't want to! I NEED to get the sewing studio cleaned for a sewing lesson tomorrow...but I don't want to! I have the time...and feel pretty good (although still angry) but I just don't want to do any of it....instead I want to go out and clean the pool....and play in the sun.... and ...well you get the idea...I'm playing hooky today!

Hi! I'm really enjoying your TR. My family met you quickly at 50's PTC. We were at a bit of a frazzled point in our day. I knew I recognized your user name but couldn't remember from where. I realized when I got back that it was from the POFQ thread. :)

I just caught up on your TR today and I can't remember everything I wanted to comment on. Here's what I remember.

POFQ is our favorite resort so far and we really like the beignets. We were actually at MK the same day as you and initially had a CP breakfast reserved until we changed it last minute. :)

Max is such a cute dog!

Well, looking forward to your next update! :)

Enjoying your TR, D!

Max is so cute! He has really grown quite a bit just since your TR began. I'm afraid he may live up to the "monster" part of his name just in size alone! He is so cute, though, I would have a hard time getting on to him for his potty accidents!

Love seeing all of your bags and customs that I read about in your PTR! Glad to see you guys had such a great time. We have stayed at POR several times, but I didn't learn about the beignets until after our last trip, so they are definitely on our next trip list!
