I can almost guarantee that I can't do that week. Starting the week of TG, it's blacked out for time off at work. Pretty much anything from the 3rd week of Nov through the 1st of the year, I can't do.

We went the second week after Thanksgiving (two years ago) and the crowd level was great. We had very nice weather too, but it can be unpredictable at that time. I just want to go for Halloween b/c I have never been then. I've been to Dis more times than I can count when I was single, but I have never seen it decorated for Halloween!

We had those jalepeno pretzels twice - they were so good. Even V, who doesn't like spicy food at all (not that these were spicy, but a few bites had some kick) really loved them and begged to have them again on our second AK day.

Never had them. Only saw them once (AK?) and wasn't hungry then, so they're still on the "next trip" list.

Actually, our fav from that meal at CP was Pooh's fruit lasagna - numilicous!!!

Yes, you did miss the verdict on the beignets... actually, I missed posting the verdict. V and I loved them - A loved them at first, but she got sick of them after the first couple of days. I think V and I had them every morning that we had breakfast at the resort.

Have you ever had Krispy Kreme doughnuts? They sound like KK doughnuts in a different shape.

I am pretty sure it's because Andrea, Lisa and Cheryl are so popular and they like to hide out here?

Oh, I got sad, sad news at work yesterday. I was given notice that starting mid-April, we will no longer process film (not all Targets, just random ones). I love processing film - I just love the art of it.

Anyways, we changed our clothes and I donned my best Donald gear, and back to MK we went!

Surprisingly, the girls weren't all that embarassed to be seen with me. However, I think if I had worn my Donald capris that night - I probably wouldn't have seen them for the rest of the evening.

We had a basic dinner at Pecos Bill's of burgers for V and I and Alli had the pulled pork sandwich. I didn't take pics of this... I may have later in the week though - since we ordered the exact same thing another day. Sorry - but I have a small rant. I don't mind it when people who purchase a meal or two at PB's and decide they need a salad on the side... However - when the person in front of you asks for 2 plates, builds an entire salad then proceeds to grab not 1 or 2 packets of dressing - but starts stuffing them in her park bag... Then goes to sit with her significant other, near enough to us to see that niether of them purchased anything there. I do have a problem with that. To me, and this is just MHO, that is stealing - it isn't right.

As Larry the Cable Guy would say, "That ain't right."

There are these benches on the walk way between the hub of the Castle and Adventure Land... If you grab just the right bench - you have a perfect viewing location to enjoy the Castle and your Dole Whip at the excact same time... See...

I guess, in my life, there is nothing more enjoyable to me, than sitting on a bench in MK, enjoying a Dole Whip, watching the Castle change colors and one of my daughters on each side of me. It's one of those moments in your life that you just wish you could freeze time.

I went to the back door...and sure enough, Mr Max was next to the wall, playing ball. He had a hard rubber ball and was throwing it against the wall and chasing it as it bounced away!

He looked at me like...What's wrong mom? I'm just playing!

I love it!

When we arrived at Epcot - the lines were already formed, so we stood there and chatted with several people around us. The guest behind us was in love with all our customs that day - especially Victoria's Goofy items - so we chatted with her at length while waiting for the park to open. While we were chatting - Corri went to Guest Services.

I did manage to snap a few pictures.

Then of course, we got to meet my favorite guy - Donald... Donald was having an off day today. He did not seem to be all that happy that I loved him so much - as a matter of fact - he almost seemed angry. In retrospect - I think he was jealous, after all, he is kind of the jealous type - because I was trully all Donald that day!

I even got him to sign my bag - however - He signed GIGANTIC over his face, and in all honesty, I feel like he wrecked my bag. The only thing that consoles me - is that I can always make another one. LOL

The very last character we met at the Character Spot was non other than Goofy!

Victoria just adores Goofy - we have had many magical moments with him - and she remembers them all. I also enjoy sewing Goofy items - he is probably one of my favorite characters to sew for, because you can do so much with him.

I am not sure what I can all say about what Goofy did when he saw Victoria - to say that he was excited was a total understatement. He was in love with her! He took her hand and danced with her, then he jumped around the room with her, he admired her bag and her outfit... Then he did it all again and again. Dare I say he was a bit excited, maybe flattered or rather full of himself - it was so hard to describe.

I will let the pictures tell the story, because it was just so cute - and the look on her face - Goofy really made her day - and gave her another magical moment to remember.

He loved her Goofy bag - and was only too happy to sign it for her!

We barely got to get in for a picture of our own - LOL

I do have a bunch more pictures of this on Photopass... because I had to lean over and politely ask the photographer to please take more pictures. LOL

I've had both and they are different from each other, KK just melt in your mouth...beniets have a bit more chew to them, but both are yummy and calorie free

Oh my goodness, your Donald hat is adorable!

I love how Goofy interacted with your daughter. I always find that Goofy and Tigger act their parts the best. How could he not make over her? Her outfit and bag were too cute and a one of a kind I'm sure.

D~ I have simply loved logging in and seeing so many fabulous updates, I just don't have time to comment each time, which I know you understand...I have to say though from another Goofy loving family...WOW, WOW, WOW!!!! Thank you for sharing those pics and for sharing your entire trip with us, you are really hitting a home run with all of the GREAT, SUPER FAST updates!!!!! I would have been SO upset over Donald writing on his face to sign his bag, not sure WHY he would do that, but you still looked happy AND adorable in all of your Donald Garb!!! Boo to the not so nice bus driver...how can you talk ugly to someone at Disney, especially such adorable young ladies...with a Mom so close to the bus??? I won't even begin to get into the talk of coming to Disney for a girl's trip, no way that could happen in my world, although it has always been my dream to go to Disney the week AFTER Thanksgiving, I have always read the crowds are low then....but I will say I understand about not being able to go then because retail is so busy for Christmas. As far as MM and his training, it takes as long as it takes....I don't know ANYBODY whose dog has been trained in a week...or even two...it is a long, arduous process, with plenty of accidents! Max IS adorable, SO worth it!!!

I didn't realize what a popular dog name that Max is... That was one of the things I loved about Rufus' name - it was pretty unique. But we all had different requirements for what Max's name should be - and really, Max was the only name that really fit him. It's not as if we ever call them by their real names anyways (well, we do no while we are training him, but... ) Rufus had so many nick names, and he came to all of them.

Are you getting in on this trip these ladies are planning, Michelle? You're going sometime this fall, right?

D~ Enjoying reading your TR! Had we kept our plans for 3/7 We would have crossed paths for sure on that day. We had an 8:10 ADR at CP but got to the bus stop and decided to skip it. Instead we went back to spend time at BWI

WE went to MK sometime around noon, I am guessing as you and your girls went back to your resort then around 6 we decided we were just too tired to stay for the Dessert Party and fight the night crowds just as you were coming back to MK

Yah - we left right around noon, maybe a hair before.

Crazy huh Ihated that we paid $50+ for the party but DH and I were beat after dinner at Tony's which was great btw

That's a bummer - but I am glad you liked Tony's... We have never eaten there. I felt like all of our food started to taste the same at the end, the next time we go - I am determined to try a few things that are a little more off the beaten path.

Max is so incredibly adorable! Is he really as soft and cuddly as he looks?

He is so soft - for sure. Cuddly - otoh - is totally up to his mood. If he is in a playful mood, don't bother to cuddle him, because he will just try to gnaw on anything he can sink his teeth into. LOL But if you can catch him when he is ready for a nap - he is just like a little rag doll and you can cuddle him all you want. I love doing that to him - he's so cute!

I am really, really enjoying your TR! It looks like it was a great trip and I can't hear about the rest. I also LOVE the "then and now" pictures...so awesome!

Okay ladies here's my tentative plan for our Thanksgiving trip 2013!!
fly out late on Thursday the Nov 21st and staying until Monday Dec 2nd and staying at POFQ again!
yes Megan will miss 6 days of school but she is great at doing her homework and our school dist is okay with families taking trips during the year as long as its not excessive!

Grrr... Unless I am no longer employed by Target - these dates just won't work for me. Target used to let one or 2 people have time off during these times, but remember last year??? They blocked out everything, and under no circumstances are you even allowed to ask. Grrrr....

Yah - I really had to coax him. He just didn't want to do anything - it was strange. Maybe because we didn't have any little kids with us? Or because I was an adult - he could have been weirded out??? I dunno - but if the rest of the Donalds in the other parks wouldn't have been so great, I might have sworn off Donald forever.

Forgot to answer your earlier question -- FROG is finished room over garage. Ours is technically a bedroom since it has a closet but it's too big to use as a bedroom. We have our Wii up there, dh has a train layout and we have our pool table up there -- we use it as our family room/rec room and that's why it's really dh's space.

Oh! I wonder if you had the same Goofy -- he was nuts for Alexa -- she was wearing a minnie dot patchwork and minnie shirt I hand appliqued -- it was an adorable outfit but no Goofy on it and he just was crazy for her. He would not let her go -- we backed the line up quite excessively and the cm kept trying to get him to let go of Alexa and he wouldn't. V looked adorable in her outfit so Goofy must have gone nuts for her.

It's possible - he was awesome! You should post a pic of Alexa with Goofy that day - I would love to see!

Ahh, thanks D. I should actually be thanking you for letting me be part of this great story. I was loving every moment of this. V was so happy which made me very happy. It was truely the most amazing start to my trip and I am so glad I was there to help you get as many pics of the moment as we could. And you are right, they don't do any justice to what actually happened. To bad neither of us thought to turn on the video function of are cameras.

We have been twice at Halloween - and it's awesome. Definately have to do MNSSHP once... we've done it every time we've gone and will continue to do it again. Some people think it's a waste and others love it, so you need to try it once to determine for yourself. It's very expensive though.

Yep and they are definately different. Not only like Lisa said where the KKs melt in your mouth, and the beignets are a lot more chewy. Also the KKs have the glaze on the top and the beignets have just sifted powdered sugar over the top - and LOTS of it. Mmmmmm....

Thanks! I got it at the Philharmagic store in 2008. I was so disappointed that the Philharmagic store really didn't have any other Donald items that weren't in other stores - like it used to. That was the store that I was most looking forward to - and I didn't get a thing. I am glad that I got what I did on our last trip. Poor Donald.

I agree! Goofy and Tigger are probably some of the best characters! Thanks for the compliments on the outfit and bag - both of them were super fun to make - and Goofy's reaction just heightened the experience. No doubt - V will want more Goofy outfits on our next trips.

I am loving sharing the trip with everyone... You all were there for me every step of the way - I sort of feel like it was your trip too. I am only too happy to share, I only wish I could have brought all of you with me.

As for the updates... I've found that if I upload the days worth of pics the night before, I can just post updates as I have the time. I can't guarantee that I'll be able to continue my pace though.

OK - so maybe I shouldn't have assumed... I guess I thought we were all under the same understanding that when I type "Andrea" - it's just short for "Andrea/Judy"... It's all alphabetical, and since Andrea's name comes first in the alphabet, I just type her's to save me time. So, from now on, when I type "Andrea" - it really means "Andrea/Judy"... Maybe I should add that to my information page, so that it's clear to everyone at all times? Or better yet - maybe add it to my siggy???? Or maybe EVERYONE should add it to their siggys, so it would eliminate all confusion.

I've always wondered, now I know...

So - I got up to my sewing room yesterday... It was so nice. I missed it so much! I didn't actually get to sew, but I got a bunch of projects cut out. It's going to be a while before you all get a photo update of what I'm working on, because these first two projects are secret projects for the time being. No worries - you'll see pics eventually.

Max seems to be progressing a little bit... He is learning that when he goes potty outside - mom does this awful cheer/song/clap thing - and then he gets treats. But when he goes inside... he gets nothing. So, I think that's progress. Just this morning, he went potty outside - and came running to me with his tail wagging... So, I think he is "getting it" a little bit. He is just the sweetest little guy - when he wants to be. LOL

I hope to do another update again sometime today... This Epcot day is a huge one for us - so it will probably drag out for a few more Parts. Our first AK day will likely be the same way.

I really need to work on more edits on our PP pictures... Maybe I will take the laptop outside this morning and do that while Max romps around the yard??? I haven't touched them in a few days, and I don't like waiting until the last minute for anything I do...

D~ I have simply loved logging in and seeing so many fabulous updates, I just don't have time to comment each time, which I know you understand...I have to say though from another Goofy loving family...WOW, WOW, WOW!!!! Thank you for sharing those pics and for sharing your entire trip with us, you are really hitting a home run with all of the GREAT, SUPER FAST updates!!!!! I would have been SO upset over Donald writing on his face to sign his bag, not sure WHY he would do that, but you still looked happy AND adorable in all of your Donald Garb!!! Boo to the not so nice bus driver...how can you talk ugly to someone at Disney, especially such adorable young ladies...with a Mom so close to the bus??? I won't even begin to get into the talk of coming to Disney for a girl's trip, no way that could happen in my world, although it has always been my dream to go to Disney the week AFTER Thanksgiving, I have always read the crowds are low then....but I will say I understand about not being able to go then because retail is so busy for Christmas. As far as MM and his training, it takes as long as it takes....I don't know ANYBODY whose dog has been trained in a week...or even two...it is a long, arduous process, with plenty of accidents! Max IS adorable, SO worth it!!!

Oh good, it wasn't just me. Josh has a Man Cave... we use it for storage right now.

My husband has a Man Room. It's the fourth bedroom which is over the garage. Basically it's an office with EVERY odd piece of furniture we didn't want to put any place else.

Need to try them... They should not only be on your "next trip" list, but they should be at the very top of it!

Yep and they are definately different. Not only like Lisa said where the KKs melt in your mouth, and the beignets are a lot more chewy. Also the KKs have the glaze on the top and the beignets have just sifted powdered sugar over the top - and LOTS of it. Mmmmmm....

I am loving sharing the trip with everyone... You all were there for me every step of the way - I sort of feel like it was your trip too. I am only too happy to share, I only wish I could have brought all of you with me.

Grrr... Unless I am no longer employed by Target - these dates just won't work for me. Target used to let one or 2 people have time off during these times, but remember last year??? They blocked out everything, and under no circumstances are you even allowed to ask. Grrrr....

I am back from our Disneyworld/Disney Cruise trip and getting back on the Dis for the first time since the day I met you in the food court at POFQ, so I wanted to stop in and say hi and it was great to meet you. I was just so surprised to see "The Donald Bag" in front of me in line for beignets!!!! And it took me a few minutes once I recognized you to get up the nerve to say hello. LOL I am so happy that I got to meet you and your adorable girls for a few minutes and got to see your Donald and Goofy bags in person--they are just incredible. V seemed so excited to tell me about the snowglobe she had her eye on at POR--did she finally get it? Tell her that I did go check it out and it was adorable, but in the end I just couldn't justify paying $100--it was for a gift for my little girl's gymnastics coach and well, the budget just didn't allow for that. I was sooo disappointed in the snowglobe selection this year--very few choices and VERY high prices. You were my second-ever "DisMeet" at Disneyworld. So glad we got a chance to meet!

MM is doing VERY well with potty training... He had definately caught on that he gets a treat every time he potties outside... I am sure my nieghbors LOVE the dance/cheer that we do every time he goes.

OMG!!!! I am sooooo glad you stopped by (I can't remember your first name though).... I wrote the wrong name in my trip journal - so now I fixed it. Be on the look out for mention of our Dismeet in my TR!! I am so glad you got up the nerve to talk to me... and excellent idea to wait until I had a boat of beignets in front of me - extra insurance that I wouldn't bite. No, in all seriousness - you really made my day that day, telling me that you recognized my bags - I swear I was on all day!

Sorry about the expensive snow globe - dd doesn't have cheap taste. You'll have to wait until the last day of my TR to find out if V found a snow globe, or not.

Hey Mike!!! So glad you stopped by! Have you started your TR then? I know how you feel - I am addicted to sooooo many TRs and PTRs - total time waster! And then, trying to keep mine updated - wow - it's a part time job and the pay sucks. It's good entertainment though.

So, we had just met Goofy - what a time that was.

We were so high on I think it propelled us right to Soarin'!

While we were in line for Soarin' - I took pictures of the bows that we were sporting that day from Beth (Blyssfull)... Aren't they cute???

And I got sooo many comments about the ones on my Keens - I have a better picture uploaded for later.

Corri, the girls and I rode Soarin together, we asked to be seated in the front row and the CMs were kind enough to oblige us.

Once we came out - we grabbed FP for Soarin' for later.

Then we were off to Test Track...

After the girls posed for a picture in one of the cars - V's a crazy driver!

Then we were headed off to World Showcase... We had been trying to meet up with Liddy all day. We were gonna meet her in Mexico - then decide where to eat.

Had to stop and take a couple of F & G topiary picutres first:

Then we had to stop at a gift shop... After much contimplation by both girls - V got a Goofy Duffy Bear and A got her sequin Mickey Ears...

The shopping trip left us late to meet Liddy, she was already in Mexico waiting for us.

When we got out of the gift shop, I got a text from Liddy that they were moving on around WS, and we needed to catch up... ACK!!! We were about 1 1/2 countries behind them the entire time - and my short legs just couldn't speed up. That, and we had to stop to take pictures with V and her Duffy bear every 3 steps. LOL I am pretty sure that's a marketing ploy by Disney.

Finally - we had caught up to Liddy. They wanted to have lunch in Japan. If you squint your eyes and concentrate reaaaaaly hard - you can see Liddy and her family on the other side of that building behind Victoria above.

As you recall from my recent PTR, I LOVE sports -- all kinds-- fishing, football, golf, lacrosse, bowling, NASCAR, basketball, expecially basketball. In fact I recently honored my love of athletics by staying at All-Star Sports.

Well, tonight the heavens align in a way that they don't often align and my alma mater (Syracuse) will be playing my husband's alma mater (Ohio State).

Truth be told, everything in the first paragraph is completely false. (Except for staying at All-Star Sports which I only did because I'm working my way through the resorts and it was the last value on the list.) I don't care one whit about sports, but I DO CARE are whipping my husband's alma mater, so make sure you cheer on the Orange tonight.
