OMG!! That bag has enough personality to get up and walk er...bounce away!!! Love it!!

Despite some unforseen fabric and thread problems, resulting in this bag being done a day late, I still love it! It turned out really fun - and bouncy!

I love the colors of this bag, and I love so many of the little details that pull everything together.

Allison even told me that she loves this bag - and would like me to make one for her, but she has no idea what she would use it for... I told her that I have one idea... LOL

Anyways - on with it... :artist:

I swear you are a mind reader! This is so absolutely exactly what I pictured in my head that I cannot even tell you how much I love it! I can't believe it is really mine.

Love this bag!!! I need to get over to your shop and put in an order for my trip next year :goodvibes

D~ I cannot tell you just how much I enjoy reading your TR (and your PTR). It truely is one of the things I look forward to when I get some "me" time!

This might be a little out of order since I got so behind...

This turned out FABULOUS!!! I LOVE that it has Mrs. Potts and Chip on it! And all the accessories are to die for! The sunglasses case is ingenious! I think it was super sweet of you to PIXIE DUMP Beth with this gorgeous set (she totally deserved it too!)

I wanted to give you all a quick MM update, since he is growing so fast...

We had him into the vet on April 13th for his shots... He weighed 20.4 lbs! He's a growin' boy!

Then, I took him into the vet last friday - just to socialize him... He weighed 27.2 lbs!! That is a whopping 7 lbs in just 2 weeks! I cannot believe how fast he is growing.

He is also a very smart boy. I have not enrolled him in classes, because he seems to be doing quite well on his own (however, he still has issues with listening to the girls).

Maxy knows... Sit, stay, shake, lay down, treat (he knows this one best - LOL), "go potty outside"... We use "treat" a lot to get him to come (thanks Nini for that tip)... He is such a quick learner!

Anyways, on to the part you've been waiting for... pictures...

In the bin I purchased for shoes, since he has that addiction - they are now stored in the living room, behind the gate.
IMG_5139.jpg

And I had to add a photo of the blanket that Victoria made (and purchased the fabric with her own babysitting money) for one of the neighbor girls for her birthday... Isn't it adorable... I told her I wanted one - she proceeded to tell me that I had to buy my own fabric, because that was expensive. LOL

IMG_5136.jpg

D~

WOW Max sure is getting to be big! He is too cute sitting in the bucket for the shoes! FX that he stops chewing on things soon.

Victoria did a great job on the blanket! And I'm on pins and needles waiting to see how the bag she is sewing for her godmother comes out.

This was a fun bag to make too... I love that this person chose to do something very unique...

I will be the first to admit that this bag kind of scared me. I've never seen the movie (although it's one of the girls' favs - so I asked their opinions constantly), in the end, I am very pleased with how this bag turned out.

Inside... I stumbled upon this fabric and I just knew it had to be part of this bag... It was a lot more expensive than I normally spend - but it was just so cool!

IMG_5145.jpg

And the zipper pull... I was so sure that I wouldn't be able to pull this one off, so we even had a back-up plan, just in case... I am so happy that it turned out!

IMG_5148.jpg

Thanks for looking... Now, on to my next bag...

D~

Once again you've created a masterpiece! I'm so glad you decided to splurge on that inner fabric because it does really help make the bag. I love all the little details you put into this and I am highly impressed that you were able to do it all without having even seen the movie!

Happy birthday Victoria!!! I hope she had a wonderful day.

Oh my golly, that is one CHEERFUL bag! I think you succeeded in capturing Tigger's spirit!

I swear you are a mind reader! This is so absolutely exactly what I pictured in my head that I cannot even tell you how much I love it! I can't believe it is really mine.

CONGRATS on your new bag!

Sunshine

First of all...

I wanted to take a minute to thank each and every one of you for Victoria's birthday wishes - I told her last night that she had a BUNCH of Happy Birthday wishes from our friends on The Dis - and she asked me to make sure I thank each and every one of you. :lovestruc She had a wonderful birthday - we had all our neighbors and their kids over for cake and icecream. She opened her presents from Uncle Brian and Myrthe that came from The Netherlands, and her card from Grandma & Grandpa. I was all ready to go shopping with her last weekend - but she wanted some items from Hollister - and I found a great coupon that doesn't start until next week. So, she offered to wait for her birthday gifts from us until we could use the coupon - SMART GIRL! She knows her momma is a tightwad! LOL

I have a new favorite :tigger: That bag is just perfect. Your applique looks like it was done on a machine!! That is the cutest thing I've seen since your Donald bag. Don't get me wrong, I love my Mickey bag, but that is just spectacular!

Thanks Stephanie!

What a great bag :goodvibes

Thank you Lillian!

that is absolutely fabulous. Tiggers bounce.

Thank you Chiara!

D~, NO excuses, you know where I have been...

First, LOVE your Tigger bag and the latest Disney fun trip update, meeting so many DIS friends.

Awesome! Tigger's always been one of my favorites That bag is just so fun!

And how cool that you can now do fun Disney things on Photobucket!

Thanks!

Yah - there isn't a lot there on PB, but it's still kind of cool.

Tigger is amazing!:worship: I am beginning to think that there is nothing that you cannot appliqué. Keep up the fabulous work!

I hope that your daughter has a great day.

Awww... thanks! :)

Happy Birthday Victoria!!! Hope your having a great day!!!

Thank you Sandra - I did a big thank you message from V above. :)

Happy Birthday V

Beautiful bag!!! Beautiful daughter!! Happy Birthday V.!!!

A very happy birthday to V!!!!

Awesome Tigger bag, it may be my most favorite!

Thank you!

I love the stitching you put in there for detail! How do you do that without it unraveling?

Thanks Stephanie... Lots of back stitching - LOL.

Happy Birthday to Victoria!!!!

The new bag is Tiggerific!!

Here's a pic of the Harvey's Bag

Thanks Tink... And thanks for sharing your Harvey bag - it's still so uber cute! :goodvibes

OMG!! That bag has enough personality to get up and walk er...bounce away!!! Love it!!

Thanks! (I don't know your first name -and I try really hard to be good about that - LOL)

I swear you are a mind reader! This is so absolutely exactly what I pictured in my head that I cannot even tell you how much I love it! I can't believe it is really mine.

Awww... I love that you love it!

Love the colors on that bag! Beautiful.

Thank you!

ROFL about the PIXIE DUMP... I like that! And thanks!

WOW Max sure is getting to be big! He is too cute sitting in the bucket for the shoes! FX that he stops chewing on things soon.

I will just be happy when he stops chewing on us. LOL

Victoria did a great job on the blanket! And I'm on pins and needles waiting to see how the bag she is sewing for her godmother comes out.

I know - I am super excited too! I am sure she will work on it again this weekend.

Once again you've created a masterpiece! I'm so glad you decided to splurge on that inner fabric because it does really help make the bag. I love all the little details you put into this and I am highly impressed that you were able to do it all without having even seen the movie!

Oh my golly, that is one CHEERFUL bag! I think you succeeded in capturing Tigger's spirit!

Thanks! That was the plan... :thumbsup2

I would like you to note the incredible detail that I put into this bag... Each row of stitching is a different color to coordinate with the Dots on the fabric - it's really cute in person, but also very subtle - so you probably wouldn't notice unless I said something. :artist:

So far - I am very happy with how my launch bag is coming together! :thumbsup2 Originally, I was going to add a bunch of fun accessories - because you know how I am about the accessories. But with the amount of time and the extra materials I have put into this bag, I am going to have to start the auction higher than I would like to. So, in an effort to not price myself completely out of the market - as much as it pains me - I am only going to do a matching Zip Wallet. As it is, I will basically be starting bidding at a loss on the wallet... So, I would hate to make all the accessores - and take a loss on them, as well.

Anyways - my week off of work was nice... I have to go back to work today - I believe I have a short shift. And then I am off again until Monday - So, I have a few more days to finish up my Launch items. :thumbsup2

I hope everyone has a fabulous day!

D~ <--- Who still hopes to get a couple Now n' Then updates done soon.

OMG! I was working out this morning and MM was laying down next to me - being good, usually he likes to try to "get" my feet and legs, because he thinks I am playing. Well, he moved and tried to get my foot - which resulted in me stepping on his mouth. He ran away screaming... because I had obviously hurt him. So I followed him to make sure he was OK. My foot hurt - but I didn't think anything of it - I finished my work out and looked down, and I had blood everywhere. I guess one of his teeth sunk into the bottom of my foot and ripped it open pretty good.

I did call the triage nurse - she doesn't think I need stitches at this point. She told me to soak it in an antibacterial soak, then cover it with antibacterial ointment and bandage it up... Because Max is up to date on his shots - and I just had my tetanus last year (ahem - remember the roofing nail I stepped on that went through my foot in May?)... I just need to stay off of it while it hurts and watch it really close for infection, because teeth harbor a lot of germs.

Poor MM won't come near me... every time I call him - he just slinks away... Poor guy knows he hurt me. I am just afraid I really hurt him too and he isn't showing it - but he won't let me get close enough to look.

I hope you are both okay.

love the teaser photo, amazing work you put into it with the threads to match. can't wait to see it all together!

Love your teaser bag photo! It looks like a great bag. It is almost making me want to join FB.

I hope that you and Max are doing ok. It's a very good thing that all of your shots are up to date.

oh no...hope you are both okay

your tigger bag is so cute! love his tail!

the launch bag is pretty with the dots and love your different thread idea too!

I'm so sorry you got hurt! He's probably fine and his feelings are just really hurt! Hope you both feel better. Your sneak peek looks beautiful!

Awww, Hope you are both OK. likely he's just been startled because something happened that he wasn't expecting and now he's worried you are mad! take care of that foot! Soak it often and coat it with polysporin, that would be a horrible place for an infection. Hopefully MM will be reassured with a treat and a cuddle. (and maybe you could check his mouth/tooth at the same time.)
pluto:

MM seems to be doing fine. I was able to check his mouth while he was sleeping, and his teeth look to be OK. He has yawned a few times, and doesn't seem to have any pain from it - so I think his jaw is OK too. I was worried that maybe I broke his jaw - I am not a small gal.

Thanks for all the well wishes... It seems that all the bizarre things always happen to me. ACK!

I lost ALL my quotes!!!! Grrrrr!!!!!!!!

First, Happy Birthday Victoria! Figures she had to go ahead and have her birthday on a day I didn't get a chance to peek at your TR! It was my ds's teacher's birthday too and he has no homework all week because of it! I wanted to quote/comment on some of those cute little photos ~ she is just darling in them. I hope she had a great day and got thoroughly spoiled. I also hope Josh didn't do something stupid like buy her ugly shoes to match those of her sister.

Second, I had something *smart* to say to Cheryl but can't remember what, so now she'll probably have something smart to say to me about that. Oh I remember -- it was that you (D~) definitely have not bought my house so clearly you are pregnant :) I hope MM does well with a baby in the house.

Let's see, the Tigger back is adorable -- fun colors and the cutest applique!

And at Joann's today I saw the black fabric with the swirls (Amy must have had her eyes closed when she was shopping b/c she was the one that told me they didn't have it). They didn't have the white on white that I'd like more of though.

Love the quilting with the various thread colors! How do you mark your lines? I quilted one bag and marked it with a pencil but didn't have time to wash it before giving it as a present (it was an art tote bag). I used blue pencil on yellow fabric but coordinating fabrics had blue in them so it looked kind of intentional having the blue show. I just used fusible batting and wish it puffed a little more, but it wasn't bad.

I'm really proud of you for working out::yes::! Not so proud of you for making MM unhappy :sad2: I'm glad he appears OK but very sorry to hear about your foot. I never worry if my dog bites one of the kids -- they don't even get the wound cleaned -- they just get told that the dog never bites anyone else b/c no one plays stupid with him. Only my boy bites and he only ever bites my children when they really annoy/pester him.

All right, break's over, it's back to sewing with Isa!

I didn't notice the different colored thread on facebook - wow, what a great detail! So should we all guess what the launch bag will be???? I think it's Dumbo

It looks galorgeous. We've never been much of a character family, but my older son does love Tigger -- and Figment. The stitching is impeccable as always and I love the upside down head on one side and the bounce on the other.

Very cool!

I love the sparkly purple. It looks great.

I swear you are a mind reader! This is so absolutely exactly what I pictured in my head that I cannot even tell you how much I love it! I can't believe it is really mine.

First: Lucky!

Second: Under locations you list Saratoga Springs. I assume that means Disney? because I live near the "real" one and wonder if we're neighbors.

Third: And, I see you're going on an Alaskan cruise. Mr. aboveH20 and I are going to Alaska on June 9 (not Disney :( we're taking the railroad inland afterwards) to celebratre our 30th.

I was quite sure everyone reading D~'s TR would want to know the above. :thumbsup2

OK for those of you that are on Facebook and are "Fans" of my page, I did a "Teaser photo" for my Launch bag... For those of you that aren't (and I know there are several of you that don't FB - Ahem Judy and Andrea...) - I thought I would be nice and share the Teaser here too...

Oooooo. Poor D~, poor MM. Glad to read a few posts later that it may be only semi-serious, not call 911-serious.

I lost ALL my quotes!!!! Grrrrr!!!!!!!!

Been there, done that, feel the pain.

Second, I had something *smart* to say to Cheryl but can't remember what, so now she'll probably have something smart to say to me about that.

Gotta watch your proofreading. I believe you meant to type

Second, I had something to say to *smart, highly educated, why is she beautiful, too* Cheryl but . . . .

Oh I remember -- it was that you (D~) definitely have not bought my house so clearly you are pregnant :) I hope MM does well with a baby in the house.

Congrats D~ and Mr. D~

I was wondering the same thing. At my quilting group at church during the winter they used skinny masking tape a lot. I have rolls of it from my sister so that's what I used. Variously, one of the pros put her ruler alongside where she wanted the line to be, then used something "sharp" (like the edge of a credit card) to "score" a line alongside the ruler. She stitched in the line.

All right, break's over, it's back to sewing with Isa!

I had to look up ITA. There's a ISA too? When will this acronymity ever end????

Isa is Lisa B. If you hung out on Judy's TR the past few days you'd get the jest of it. Lynn asked for a few of us to make hospital gowns for Lisa so she wouldn't have to wear a hideous gown like you did when you were in the hospital. Apparently Judy got word that I was making one by saying it was someone whose name begins and ends with a vowel, so I started calling Lisa B "Isa" and joked that Lisa will be getting a gown with stick on velcro and fusible hem tape.

Except our garage door broke and now I can't get to the post office (car is in the garage -- door opens 1.5 feet only -- car is taller than 1.5 ft!). DH is taking the kids to school because fortunately we were smart and had the garage built with two single doors rather than one double so he can get his car out. The school is on the way to work -- he'll just get to work late and for some reason he's not one bit upset about that. Repair man will be here at 8am though and it shouldn't take too long to fix. The cable wires came undone so either need to be fixed or replaced.

So now you know what Isa means but I still don't know what ITA means.

OK -- I looked it up -- it means International Tennis Association.

I hope you are both okay.

love the teaser photo, amazing work you put into it with the threads to match. can't wait to see it all together!

Thank you... I will be doing more teaser photos in the next few days.

Love your teaser bag photo! It looks like a great bag. It is almost making me want to join FB.

I hope that you and Max are doing ok. It's a very good thing that all of your shots are up to date.

Thanks! I'll do a MM & me update at the bottom.

your tigger bag is so cute! love his tail!

the launch bag is pretty with the dots and love your different thread idea too!

THanks Lisa!

I hope you both are ok.

Thanks Lillian! :) I am doing an update at the bottom.

You are so doggy smart! :) And human smart too! I am doing a short update at the bottom.

ROFL... I told V "happy birthday" from you - and she told me to pass along a "thank you". :) Yes, no ugly shoes for V - thank the Lord she didn't want them. :thumbsup2

Second, I had something *smart* to say to Cheryl but can't remember what, so now she'll probably have something smart to say to me about that. Oh I remember -- it was that you (D~) definitely have not bought my house so clearly you are pregnant :) I hope MM does well with a baby in the house.

Clearly - Andrea - you are wrong...

Let's see, the Tigger back is adorable -- fun colors and the cutest applique!

Bummer - well let me know if you want any.

I used blue pencil on yellow fabric but coordinating fabrics had blue in them so it looked kind of intentional having the blue show. Thanks! Depending on what I am quilting, I use a quilting foot that has the arm on it to measure the distance between lines. Sometimes I mark them too.

I'm really proud of you for working out! Not so proud of you for making MM unhappy I'm glad he appears OK but very sorry to hear about your foot. All right, break's over, it's back to sewing with Isa!

Thanks... I"ve been trying hard to take better care of myself. I am always the first person to be neglected... I really want to work out this morning - but I don't think I'll be able to.

I wouldn't have cared so much about washing it out - but it is quite deep in a couple of spots and a bit jagged - honestly, it looks like it was done with a sharp knife - it's such a thin cut. :confused3 It's just the strangest thing, how it happened, and I am still a bit perplexed about it.

I didn't notice the different colored thread on facebook - wow, what a great detail! So should we all guess what the launch bag will be???? I think it's Dumbo

Thanks Stephanie... I really like how it turned out. No worries - I'll be doing more teaser photos... I took a few yesterday. :thumbsup2

And you can guess what theme it is - but I can't reveal that quite yet.

It looks galorgeous. We've never been much of a character family, but my older son does love Tigger -- and Figment. The stitching is impeccable as always and I love the upside down head on one side and the bounce on the other.

Yes, we did. I am curious - is your Wagon Train going to be caravanning through MN on your way back home?

Very impressive. You're very dedicated to change color so often. The sneak peak looks neat.

Thanks Cheryl... I knew you would find it impressive that I changed thread colors so many times.

Oooooo. Poor D~, poor MM. Glad to read a few posts later that it may be only semi-serious, not call 911-serious.

It's only hop-along D~ serious.

Interesting method.

I had to look up ITA. There's a ISA too? When will this acronymity ever end????

ITA = I Totally Agree... Which is something you and Andrea rarely do - so I wouldn't expect you to know what it means. :rolleyes1

See my above reply to Cheryl - it explains it all.

I hope you are able to get out of your garage today - otherwise you might have to pedal a bike to the PO. :stir:

MM & Me update:

MM is fine... Although - when I tell him "no bite" he sure listens now. As for me, I am hobbling along just fine. When I cleaned out my wound last night - it's a lot deeper than I thought it was - and a lot more jagged too, but it's a nice clean wound - so it should heal just fine. I just have to walk kind of strangely for a while.

I plan to get up to my sewing room and finish my Launch bag today and hopefully start on my zip wallet. I can't wait to show you all - because it's really turning out nice.

Josh is home today... He was upstairs getting ready for work, and his back went out. We heard a loud scream and a big "thunk"... so I hobbled upstairs as fast as I could - to find Josh on the floor. :( I always feel so badly when this happens to him - it is so painful and it takes him weeks to get back to semi-normal, with lots of muscle relaxants and pain meds. Needless to say - he is up and walking around - barely (with his spine in an S curve) - but he isn't going into work, because walking is so hard for him. So, he is home with me today.

Aren't we the pair?

Does anyone have any big plans for Mother's Day?

D~
