Thank you for letting me hijack once again D~

And thank you to anyone who responds!

My favorite has always been the Great White!!

Another great update D!! Love seeing the smiles on everyone's face. You can tell you guys enjoy the time together.

Wow, that's a lot of DisMeets in one day!!

Loved your Poly pics, glad you got to ride the monorail over, it's so fun. Too bad we were already gone, we would've come up to the GCH to meet you!! Sorry Ohana wasn't your fave.

Both times we have went to DTD it has rained on us. DH says we are never going there again. I'm sure we will try again as we have only seen a very small part of DTD. We went the night we arrived and went to EoS for dinner. Loved it and we will go back. Can't remember what we had now but it was good. I was glad that DS and I split a sandwich though, they were big!

We loved O'hana on our last trip. In fact, we thought it was so good, it was the first meal we booked for this trip. However, I have to agree with you for the meal we had there this trip. Loved the Pad Thai and potstickers. Meats were okay, but the beef was overcooked. I don't know about the shrimp because I don't like seafood. However, DS and DH assured me they were good. The bread pudding was delicious but I only had a small bit as we were really overwhelmed by all the food at that point in the week.

We finished up our meal, and tipped our server, then we hopped the Monorail to the MK. Loree (Tinkerbell13) was texting me at the end of dinner, they had just finished their dinner at Wilderness Lodge, and were headed to the front gates of MK to meet up with us. She told me that we'd recognize her by their shirts... LOL I had no idea what she was talking about, so I was staring at everyone's shirts that passed us by - hoping I'd recognize them. LOL

Finally, Loree found us - LOL. We chatted for a long time - Loree and her DH are so sweet! They had just driven down from Canada the day before - I can't imagine driving that far. It was so much fun meeting them! Victoria swears her DH looked just like the dad on Diary of a Whimpy Kid. LOL I have yet to see that movie to verify - but I think he enjoyed that she thought he looked famous. LOL We also had a CM join in for a large portion of our conversation - which we got a kick out of - but he really didn't want to leave, and he stayed with us for a loooong time - even got in on our group photo...

IMG_4157.jpg

Loree... It was so much fun meeting you and your Dh - I am so glad we got the chance to do that. I have to say that the girls were really annoyed that I was planning to do all of these "Dismeets" on our trip, but once they got to meet a few people (especially Liddy and their family) - they came to love our Dismeets and really enjoyed meeting everyone. It didn't take them too long to realize that a Dismeet isn't an all day event (except the one Epcot day that I told them would be - LOL)... It was just a quick meet, and then you went on with your day. The loved it and loved everyone they met!
I figured you would have recognized the Canada Mickey head shirts we were wearing and known it was us. DH was questioning me on how I was going to recognize you too. I told him to look for a Donald Duck bag! However, I figured out who you were as you were coming down the ramp with the girls.

Honestly, driving from where we are in Canada isn't that bad. It's not the 50 hours our server at Prime Time thought it was! We were only 19.5 hours this trip. I probably could have even knocked a bit of time off that, but DH likes to be at the hotel about 9pm each night.

We loved meeting you guys too! DH thought it was funny (and still does!) that V thought he looked like someone else. For the record, we still haven't seen that movie to make a comparison.

That CM was hilarious. I think the highlight of his day was meeting a bunch of Canadians! Still can't figure out :confused3 how everyone knew we were Canadian! :rotfl2:

Your girls are adorable. I loved being able to meet them too. DS says next time he is coming with me to meet my "computer friend". :rotfl: He was full of questions when we got back to the resort and tore him and his cousins away from the pool.

The DISmeet was a great way to end a great first day in the parks. I am so glad we were able to work something out. :cheer2: My only disappointment was that I forgot to get a picture. Soooo glad you posted yours. I just may have to 'steal' it!

Bruce the shark.....Whaddya mean that wasn't one of the choices?! Ok he is a great white shark.

see below:

"Bruce is a Great White Shark who wants to be off of fish forever. Sometimes he has slip-ups where he will accidentally eat a fish.He never actually means to, like someone with an addiction sometimes it just happens but he tries his best with weekly meetings with his friends Anchor and Chum where the motto is Fish are friends ,not food."

Another great update.:cheer2: We loved taking the boat to DTD when we stayed there. I think we went almost everyday on that trip.

Now when we go it seems so crowded and WoD is so packed you can't even move :crowd: But I've never checked out TrenD... that will be on my list, maybe I can leave DH with the kids at the Lego store and I can run in there myself:scratchin

/
I love trendD.

Loved the update. I am off to make my list of orders and projects to work on this week.

Need to stay on track.

Please note: My other PHotobucket acct is up and running again! :goodvibes So, I am hoping to knock out some Now n' Then updates today... Maybe...

What a fun day full of DIS meets!

I will second that Anakin is a little sweetie, we were blessed to keep meeting up with them in Oct....it confused him a bit though, because we would tell him we'd see him in two years and then would get to meet up the next day again....Tink and Goofy are great too! and we look forward to spending time with them next thanksgiving trip!

we love DTD and usually go there at least 1-2 times....just to eat at EoS if possible!
love at V is so sweet buying gifts for others! we have our disney mom and girl decals on our car and license plate holder too!

must agree about the food at O'hanas...while it was good, was way to much...don't think we'd go back unless it was with a larger group...the resort is beautiful, megan would like to spend a night or two someday there.

so I got an idea of a UPB for me for our trip next year....when you have time next year to make it for me, I think it would be really cute!!!!

Yes - we loved Tink and Goofy... Just a wonderful family!

I was amazed at how many Dismeets we were able to do - and the girls still talk about each and every one of the Disers we met...

Love your pictures and updates! :)

We never did make it to Downtown Disney when we were there last year. It looks so nice - will have to plan a day there for the next trip! We only had 5 days in the world, so we had to try and make it all count. We left out DHS and Downtown Disney and discovered that AK and Epcot would definitely be multi days for us next time - all the more to plan for next time!

Thanks! :) I wish we would have had more $$ when we went - but then we probably would have ended up with a bunch of useless stuff. It's fun to just go and look around though.

I'm so glad you had an amazing day!!

I honestly didn't know you could take a boat from POFQ to DTD. That's awesome!

Yah - it was something we were looking forward to.

I'm glad you and your girls adored Anakin as much as me and my kids did! He's such a sweety!

I know - he is so adorable!

EoS is one of our favorites! I love the hawaiian sandwich!! YUM!

You know... I really liked it a lot - but it wasn't something that I would "crave" to go back to... Not like the Jalepeno pretzel/cream cheese pretzel or the Dole Whip. Next time we really would like to spend a whole day at DTD and hit WPE.

Where's that display you mentioned in a PM? :confused3

I posted the picture in my last update... Go look again. :rolleyes1

I'm glad you finally made it to DTD! We love going to DTD, and have been every year.

I wouldn't say that we "loved" it - but it was fun, and it was more fun that we got to enjoy it with Tink and her family.

That was so sweet that V bought A a pin! Your girls are just so precious and amazing! I love how you got to help Tink pick out her gift! I hope she pops in with a picture!!

Yah - V is like her mom - she likes to gift things to others. Right now, she is in the process of making her Godmother a UPB for her birthday. popcorn::

I think I'd starve at O'hana ... as I'd be waiting for the beef and shrimp. :lmao: It's not really on my "must do".... I wouldn't mind breakfast there, because DD has asked to eat with Stitch and Lilo ... but not sure I'd do dinner. It just doesn't seem as appealing to me.

Honestly, I think if we go back, it will be for breakfast... we really didn't enjoy dinner that much.

That's so awesome that you made friends with the CMs everywhere you went!!!

Yah - I really enjoy talking to the CMs... Most of them are very nice - and it must be so hard to have to be sooo nice to people all the time.

I can see why V thinks Loree's DH looks like the dad in DoaWK. I totally see the resemeblance. It's not a dead-on look, but yeah, I can see it! :thumbsup2

That's awesome that you had so many DISmeets! I'm jealous!

I love doing Dismeets!

Great update.
really neat you had so many dismeets
the pictures from the boat ride are cool
EoS is on our list of must haves at DTD.

Thanks! Yes, I love doing Dismeets, and the boat ride was so nice and relaxing... Not to mention - it was so neat to be able to see some of the other resorts from the river side.

love the new update.

I like DD but we usually cut that out of our trip to rest though we did get there in April

I could see cutting out DTD to rest. I think the next time we'll probably do a little less on our "off" day/days.

Sounds like a fun day! I love DTD!!

It was fun!

Very cool you had an impromtu meet with MerissaAndMomLoveDis!

We have never seen that Russel and Dug display! Anakin loves that movie now, but hated it when it first came out. All the scenes of animal cruelty were too emotional for him.

He didn't understand fiction. He thought those cartoon characters were real. He's learning to differentiate now. When we went to see Mirror Mirror he had to ask a couple times, then exclaimed that those were the best writers of a movie EVER!

I am not sure that display is still there? There was very little Russel and Dug stuff anywhere. Sad.

Ohana use to be Grumpy's favorite place to celebrate his b-day. Those horribly, messy shrimp were his favorite!!

Yah - I just have issues pulling legs off of my food as I am trying to eat it... Ewwww... Just can't do it.

You're window seat would have been great for a later seating near firworks time!

The bread pudding is the best part of the meal. We found the beef fatty and tough too. Happened too often with the beef, so we switched to WCC for b-day celebrations

Yes, I do agree that the Break Pudding was great - but again, it seemed like they had it at ever restaurant we went to - just a differrent variation. I was kind of sick of BP after we got home - and it's one of my all time favorites too.

Wow! 3 DIS meets in one day! How fun!

Wish it would have worked out to see you guys too! Anakin's seizures were not cooperating during that time. But now he is 15 days seizure free!! Would have loved to see your kids again, though he might not remember them if they weren't dressed at a mermaid and pirate

Cute!

I know there are other things you wrote that didn't show up in the quote...

I did forget about V running in the fountains and being cold all through lunch.

And that is a total bummer about your bag - I am glad you still like it -but it's a shame that it's starting to wear.

Cool about all the Dis Meets! How fun that you got to meet April...did you know that she is back at Disney today? Last trip before they head off to Europe!

Nini

I did know that she was back in Disney - I am so glad they were able to sneak in another trip before they move.

My favorite has always been the Great White!!

Another great update D!! Love seeing the smiles on everyone's face. You can tell you guys enjoy the time together.

Thanks! Most of the time we enjoy spending time together. The girls are notorious for not getting along - but in the last few days, they've been doing better. Not sure what is going on? :confused3

I agree... Clothes that fit me at the beginning of the week, I could barely get them on at the end of our trip - it was awful!

You should really see that movie. :thumbsup2

Go ahead and steal it... I have 2 more, if you'd like those too... The girls ares sticking out their tongues on one of them, adn the other one the CM is making a possibly inappropriate gesure? But you are welcome to those too - if you'd like. Just let me know. :)

I'll help.....Black tip

D~ did you see my post earlier about my UPB wish???

I didn't - but I went back... Thanks for saying something. Now, I am curious!

ROFL... This is one of those answers that you wish you'd thought of. Good one! :)

Another great update. We loved taking the boat to DTD when we stayed there. I think we went almost everyday on that trip.

You should go! It was a lot of fun!

I spent more time in my sewing room yesterday than I care to admit.

Victoria wanted to make her God mother a UPB for her birthday. I told her that I would help her cut out the pieces - but she was on her own for the rest. So, I helped her with cutting it out yesterday morning, then I made her move her sewing machine into her room, because I just didn't have the space in my sewing room to share with her. It worked out well, because she has Patience's sewing table in her room as a desk - so I was able to get her to clean it off (yay!), and she just put her sewing machine on top of it. I am anxious to see how it turns out, she's never made one before. She has helped me with quilting when I first started making them - but not for a long time now.

I got as far as I could on the appliques for this bag... I am out of light yellow thread... So, now I have to go to JoAnn's this morning. Grrr... I am getting frustrated with myself.

I plan to finish my Launch bag this week and also work on the accessories that I plan to list with it. I am pretty excited about this bag! Not only will it be a really fun bag - but, for some people, it will be one of their only opportunities to own one of my bags yet this year. :woohoo:

I also have some really great ideas for my next Launch bag. :rolleyes1

I hope everyone has a great day... I will try to come back this afternoon and post a Now n' Then update.

I really loved your updates. So many fun dismeets! :cool1: After our DTD drama on our first day, I am not sure if I could get my family to go back. I have never tried EoS and I know we would love it, just not sure if I can drag everyone back or not. :scratchin Your girls seem so sweet. I do hope we get to all meet up again and spend a little more time together. I just LOVE that boat ride down the Sassagoula... Is is just me or do the smilies keep disappearing and reappearing? I swear the cloud nine smilie goes away and comes back!!! :headache:

Okay are you making more than one thing for the launch  I have ordered my fabric and once it comes I will start my set. I think I am only going to do one set this launch I just do not have the time.

I hear you on running out of things I hate that. I guess I need to place an order for stabilizer.

oooh~ thought of something else I was going to comment on! Your Disney family car decals...you need to get them on!!! DH went online and ordered a set for me last night. This is part of his Mother's Day gift to me. His other part? He and the kids are taking me to the newly reopened Opry Mills Mall Saturday to shop at the Disney Outlet Store!!!!!

I will comment on everything else later - I need to run out the door to get my yellow thread (why in the world can't JoAnn's open at 7 am when I actually need something? I feel like I have to waste half my day because they don't open until 10...)

Anyways... Chiara - I am only doing one Launch set this time around... I don't think there is any way I can squeeze in two this time. I just have an idea or two for the next Launch. :thumbsup2

I'll never get caught up but did a quick scan, so if I missed something important like you're pregnant or buying Andrea's house and moving to RI, perhaps you'd be kind enough to post that info again.

I've enjoyed all of your trip photos. Your daughters looked like they were having a grand time. And little Maxie is getting to be more maxi than mini.

Allison sent me a text from school this morning...

"I am suddenly craving a Dole Whip... ;)"

D~ <--- me thinks she is in the mood for another trip?

At the ice cream stand near my mother they have Dole Whip. When I saw it for the first time last year I was crushed. I assumed it was available only at WDW. I have it whenever we go, but somehow it's not quite the same atmosphere.

So, in the midst of making these items for Beth... She contacted me when I was swamped with an order, and she offered to make me a bunch of LGMHs so that I can attach them to the UPBs... This was a huge lifesaver for me. Even though I don't mind doing it, it's sometimes tedious and to be honest - I've almost forgotten several times, so I took Beth up on her offer... Again, she wouldn't let me pay her anything... :worship: However, she was willing to trade me for a journal cover.... :rolleyes1 So, I added the journal cover to her pile, since I hadn't quite finished the wallet yet (at that point). I decided that the journal cover had to be Cogsworth (and I couldn't put the magnetic snap closure on it, because he took up the whole front - LOL).

I finally got everything put together on Saturday & shipped it off...

IMG_5133.jpg

D~ <---- FYI... I wonder who is next to recieve some PD from D~??????

I LOVE the Beauty and the Beast collection. I currently don't have enough energy to get my thesarus for some superlative words, but if I did, I'd use at least eight of them (maybe even nine).

:dance3:

I wanted to give you all a quick MM update, since he is growing so fast...

This is Max in front of the table that I have a picture of him sitting on that bottom shelf - just 6 weeks ago...
IMG_5119.jpg

Victoria and MM posing for a picture:
IMG_5142.jpg

And I had to add a photo of the blanket that Victoria made (and purchased the fabric with her own babysitting money) for one of the neighbor girls for her birthday... Isn't it adorable... I told her I wanted one - she proceeded to tell me that I had to buy my own fabric, because that was expensive. LOL

IMG_5136.jpg

D~

Amazing how quickly Max is growing and

Amazing blanket V made. :cheer2:

This was a fun bag to make too... I love that this person chose to do something very unique...

I will be the first to admit that this bag kind of scared me. I've never seen the movie (although it's one of the girls' favs - so I asked their opinions constantly), in the end, I am very pleased with how this bag turned out.

Hi Cheryl....

LOL

I thought she looked like she had my surgeon for my neck fusion surgery...when I complained about the scar...she said 'I'm a great neuro surgeon...not a plastic surgeon!"

Looks like a fun day so far :) The boat to DTD will be our first order of business, followed directly with lunch at EoS. Can't wait to try that place!

Treehouse Villas look gorgeous, and maybe if I had a huge family trip planned since they have so much room in them, but they are SOOOO far away from everything at SSR. You would definitely have to have a car.

Yay for the monorail! :cool1:

Thanks! Most of the time we enjoy spending time together. The girls are notorious for not getting along - but in the last few days, they've been doing better. Not sure what is going on? :confused3

It's probably just a sister thing right now. My sister and I are 22 months apart (I'm older) and we still have our issues. Sometimes we get along great and other times we can't even be in the same state!! :rotfl2: That's why she's in Oregon near our parent's and I stayed in California!!

Here's my two when they are in one of their moments....

And this was the two of them not even an hour before that...

Hope you don't mind me sharing but I just couldn't pass up the loving each other and then the hating each other a little while later!!

My sister (who is 18 months older than me) and I fought like cats and dogs growing up, now we are great friends :goodvibes There is hope for the future

I hope there's hope... I have nearly given up on it. I do have to say - the last week or so, there has been a lot less fighting. I hope it continues... It's kinda nice. :goodvibes

I really loved your updates. So many fun dismeets! After our DTD drama on our first day, I am not sure if I could get my family to go back. I know... The problem is that I need to get my car washed... Every time I wash it - I forget to put them on. I am almost on E again, so when I fill up, I will get a car wash, get those decals on and take pictures for you all. :thumbsup2

Nope, you didn't miss anything important. I know that MM is getting so huge - he's started counter/table surfing - and let me tell you - that is a PITA!

At the ice cream stand near my mother they have Dole Whip. When I saw it for the first time last year I was crushed. I assumed it was available only at WDW. I have it whenever we go, but somehow it's not quite the same atmosphere.

Nini... Your surgeon must hear that a lot - that's quite the come-back.

Looks like a fun day so far :) The boat to DTD will be our first order of business, followed directly with lunch at EoS. Can't wait to try that place!

Yay for the monorail!

The tree house villas did look cool - but I am not sure I would ever want to stay in one? I dunno... They just look so similar to places to stay here in MN, I think I'd rather stay at POFQ... LOL

The boat ride was fantastic... I wish I would have remembered that it went to POR... We would have used the boat rather than the stupid internal bus. I just wasn't thinking that day.

It's probably just a sister thing right now. My sister and I are 22 months apart (I'm older) and we still have our issues. Sometimes we get along great and other times we can't even be in the same state!! That's why she's in Oregon near our parent's and I stayed in California!!

And this was the two of them not even an hour before that...

Hope you don't mind me sharing but I just couldn't pass up the loving each other and then the hating each other a little while later!!

I love these pictures! LOL I have lots of those too. :rolleyes1 And feel free to share pictures - I love seeing everyone's kiddos.

Well, I have lots of things going on today...

I have about an hours worth of work left to do on my latest bag - I am really excited about it, because even though there was a lot of drama surrounding my supplies for it this week - the colors and the appliques turned out amazing and it really has the "feel" I was trying to create! :thumbsup2 I cannot wait to show you all!

Once I finish that bag - I am going to run to the PO... Then I am coming back to work on the accessories for my Launch project. The accessories won't be anything that I haven't done before - but I have some great "theme" ideas for them - so I really hope I have enough time this week to get done what I'd like to get done for it.

And, last but certainly not least...

It's Victoria's 13th Birthday today!!!!
Happy Birthday to my sweet baby girl!!!!
