As Disney is a popular destination during the Winter holidays , I wanted to share a website to help you plan for severe weather. It has airport delays and closings, as well as snow and severe weather forecasts from the National Weather Service for all of the United States, all in one easy to use location. It also has links for European weather for those of you traveling to Disney from Europe and UK.

I hope you find this helpful. Have great holiday season.

Good site! However, you can't always plan for weather delays. I was stuck in MCO this past Sunday night. My flight left over three hours late, not because of bad weather in Orlando or Texas, but because the plane that was supposed to be flying us from Orlando to Texas was stuck in Detroit where they were trying to get the plane defrosted.:headache: There were also three flights to Atlanta that were delayed over two hours (with people missing connections) due to those three planes being stuck somewhere up north. There were also flights to NY, Ohio, and Maryland delayed, again not due those airports being closed, but due to the planes needed to go from Orlando to those states being stuck up north.

It was entertaining to watch the people in MCO Sunday evening/night throwing temper tantrums. I saw one man yelling at the gate agent until some guy in a yellow vest came and told him he could either chill out or he'd be escorted out of the airport. We had a lady on our flight kicked off the flight. She had apparently not purchased a seat, the flight was overbooked, they were offering flight vouchers if people would fly out Monday morning, and so this lady didn't have a seat assigned and was basically having to fly stand by. She was already mad that the plane was taking off over three hours late, then when she finally came onto the plane she was furious that she had to check her carryon, as there was no space left in the overheads. She was storming up the aisle to a middle seat across from me and one row behind. The flight attendant tried to stop her to talk to her and she cussed the FA out saying she didn't want to talk to the b--ch and she could go straight to h-ll. She then sat in the middle seat and when the lady next to her tried to calm her down, she yelled at her too. Within just a few minutes the head FA came and asked if she had any luggage on the plane and told her they needed to talk to her privately out in the hallway. She went with her and in just a few minutes a man came onto the plane, sat in her seat, and was laughing saying she was out in the walkway yelling at three people, but he didn't care because her temper tantrum got him a seat on the plane.
