We will be visiting next month with 4 other families. The deal was so great, that we told our friends and they jumped on it too! With that said though, I really don't want to turn into the tour guide the whole time. We have been 3 times already and know the parks quite well, but our other friends have not been and have already depended on me for dinner reservations, hotel reservations, etc. I don't mind helping with this at all, but my fear is when it is time to hit the parks, it will be up to me to lead the way. I am really looking forward to spending quality time with MY family, and not having time eaten up with bathroom breaks for 10 kiddos and 8 adults.:sad2:

Any tips on enjoying a family vacation, but also time with friends in doses?

:wizard:Check out the thread recently started on here called some ""group planning help required "started by rosabelle loads of advice on there :wizard:

i would say have set up a meeting before you go. have all this sorted before you get there. realisticaly it would be very difficult for you all to stay together and everyone be happy. i couldnt do it with four other people lol. arange for times to meet up and see how everyone is getting on but be clear that you are not all doing everything together. that way nobody will be disapointed once they are there

We went last week with my cousin, his wife and 2 children. Once they had found their bearings we split up as they wanted to take their time and we wanted to fit in as much as possible. I had been before and I had given them a lot of info before the trip and during the time we did spend together at the start of the trip. There is no way we could have stayed together and everyone been happy. DS(5) is in to the slower rides, though he did brave Thunder Mountain once and Phantom Manor. Their DD is 7 so she was in to the rollercoasters etc.

Hi bbrown

I feel your woe, I got some fantastic advice on this very topic :thumbsup2

If that all fails how about you and me meet up in skull rock and hide from the lot of them

It'll be grand ...................I'm sure ;)

Sounds like a plan! I'll be the one holding a Mickey Mouse sippy cup full of wine!!!:cool1:

I like it :lmao:

I'll be the one with uncontrollable nervous twitches getting worse each day, so bring extra wine :rotfl2:
