Well, for the first time ever I can say I'm upset with DCL...

A supervisor called about the VIP Pisa tour and said we can book it....but not for ds6. She said they've changed the ages for only 8 and older now.I asked about exceptions, about it printed in the book for all ages and recommended for ages 5+...it's got a train ride, mentions about folding strollers, blah, blah, blah. Nope, won't budge. She said that the fine print says they can change any excursions. ...and said I may want to rebook the Pisa tour I cancelled and that I may have problems booking it now because they are filling up with CC member bookings. She told me we can do it on our own and I told her we prefered to go with Disney for the safety and not worrying about missing the ship. She even said we could go without ds6, leaving him on the ship but I told her no way. She said the DCL Med coordinator wasn't available to speak (hasn't been since Easter btw). She said she'd cancel my request to speak to her about booking it if I didnt' want to do it anymore. I told her I did, but if there were no exceptions and they didnt' change it back then we wouldn't be booking it.

Anyhow, I did get to rebook Pisa and we'll just have to deal with it. I hope anyone looking to still book VIP Pisa and has kids over 8 gets to do it.

You know I bought this tour book and in it it said that you had to be 8 and over to enter the PISA. So I was really excited that when DCL released the tours and the age limit was 5+. So I thought that would be perfect to go inside the PISA. Well, I guess, DCL made a typo/mistake on the age limit for that tour. Bummer. Anyways, we are doing Florence and PISA. I hope you find something that you want to do. My dd is 6 so we wouldn't have been able to in it either.

We'll be at the Atenea as well (looking forward to the beach as well). We'll actually be there 4 days prior to the Magic - wanted to really see the town. We'll be on the lookout for good family restaraunts - following reccomendations of Rick Steves at first (just because he's a local and he's great). . . .

From many searches for Barcelona family restaurants, Mesón David keeps popping to the top of the list. It sounds like a fun type of place and it appears to have wide variety of choices on the menu. I was thinking of taking my family there for dinner there on the 6th.

Their website states that they accept groups. If there is interest, maybe we arrange to meet there?

Hi John ... Gee we think alot alike ... two of the tours I really want are Mysterious Palermo and the Chocolate Museum. We are going to see Mary Poppins in London on June 30, and we are going to see We Will Rock You in Toronto on June 27th. I really think we will get along great. If you do make plans for dinner on the 6th let me know. I get into Barcelona around 4 on Friday, and will be staying at the Hilton just down the road from you folks.

Little Shop of Horrors.

We decided to do a double feature day. We are going to see LSoH at 3 then Mary Poppins at 7:30 on the 4th. That will leave us all day on the 5th to ride the big red buses and sight see. Didn't really want to do a late show since we have to get up really early to catch our flight to BCN.

Also, Tickemaster had a family deal for the 3:00 show - 1/2 price tickets for 4. Center Stage - Row D!

I'm over the VIP Pisa tour now. I guess I was just hoping the boys could say that they climbed it, and I had already told them we were going to try and do it. I don't think ds6 would be happy if we got tickets when we were there for his brother and one of us to climb it. I was about 8 or 9 when I climbed it back in 1980-81. I guess it's just another reason to go back one day...

Looks like most of us have late dining. We were waitlisted for early, but with some of our excursions and being in ports late, plus the time change, I figured it would be better to keep late. We plan on sleeping in (yeah right) on all but the 2 early excursion days. We had late dining in December for the 1st time and really liked it a lot better than early. I'm sure we'll hit deck 9 for some mid afternoon snacks (or room service!)

We got a call from DCL today letting us know that we did get the VIP Pisa (DD is 11). I've been doing research on taking the train and climbing "on our own." I was ready to order tickets online.

The tour is from 12:45 to 6:15 which gives us the morning to ???? Now I'm looking for something to do around the port for four hours. By then, sleeping in may be an option.

OK, I've revised my list of excursions (at least the ones we want). I am now willing to give up Pisa for Portofino and Santa Margherita. An Italian Pizza Party!! I am still undecided on the Rome excursion. I really like the idea of Exclusive VIP Visit of the Vatican since you can have cameras in the Sistine Chapel on that tour. However, we miss out on the Highlights of Rome.
