Hello everyone!
Booked a cabin today and now I can officially join this discussion. I've been reading it for weeks, waiting to "qualify" to join. This will be a surprise for DD(11) so we have to plan in secret. We're hoping for a trip to Paris post cruise. Let the planning begin!

We're going to have a great time. We're trying to get a group Palo brunch if you're interested in joining us. I'm sure you've seen my journal/blog. All the details are there. I think we have 6 slots left.

I really need to get going on planning. I have our hotels booked for Paris before and Barcelona the night before, but still have LOTS to do!

Oh Monstro, on your list, my DH is also going with Us and our friends that are going have a DD(9) and DS(6). Can't wait!

PS- If I ever figure out how to attach a picture, I'll try to send one of our entire sailing party.

PPS- If it's quick enough to tell me, someone please let me know how to do it.

Thanks - I updated our list. So you have another sailing party coming with you? Are they on the boards?... You know what they say - The more the merrier .

I haven't figured out how to add all of the fancy stuff to the bottom of my posts yet. Too busy reading about Barcelona.

I really need to get on this planning thing! We don't even know what country we will be living in when this cruise comes, so booking hotels and all that is going to be difficult. In fact, if we move back to the US we may have to cancel altogether.

What hotel is everyone booking in Barcelona for the night before?

We are at the Barcelona Hilton, but DCL told me that it is sold out now. I wanted to stay in Barcelona after the cruise, but after staying three nights in Paris and one night in Barcelona beforehand, my husband won't let me spend anymore money!

Yes Monstro we are sailing with another family. They aren't on the boards- I have never been able to talk them into it!

Last time we did the 7 night Eastern, I "met" so many great people on the boards and then we hung out with them on an excursion. They were such nice people and then my DH and friends weren't laughing at me anymore for being on the boards so much!

I will try and PM you a good pic when I have time to find one. Now I need to check emails and get some sleep so I can go to work tomorrow and make more money for the trip!

Hi MickeyFanMom ... Which Hilton are you staying at... We are booked at the Hilton Diagonal Mar on the 6th. We will be coming in from Paris by train, but I haven't decided if we are going to take the overnight or day train from Paris into Barcelona yet!

Greetings! Just wanted to drop in and say

Believe it or not, we were not planning on taking a cruise. Alex and Kyle (see signature below) were both invited to be People to People Student Ambassadors in summer '07 (Alex went to New Zealand/Austrailia in '04). Alex's group was going to China and Kyle's to Hawaii. The cost for both combined would be around $10,000! I thought that maybe the whole family could do something fun and educational together instead.

Ta-Da! What do you know - I found an educational and fun cruise in the Mediterranean that the whole family can go on!

Just booked 2 Cat. 10s gty lastnight with Dreams Unlimited. Now have to work on the rest. We are planning on flying from Washington D.C. (Dulles) to London on the 4th. Spend the 5th touring London. Fly on to Barcelona on the 6th. The return to Washington on the 18th.

Finding lodging for 5 is a real pain. The Hilton Metropole looks promising for London. Checking out places in Barcelona, but it is difficult to really know - know what I mean? I'd appreciate any help and I'll make sure to pass on any tidbits I stumble across!
