Hi John - Yes, I am decorating our door. I had a friend who has a sign company make me an 8 x 10 magnetic sign - it's a picture of the Magic on the night she first arrived in BCN, with the fireworks - I then added our names, the sailing date, and "The Caramico Family's Magical Cruise" - I also ordered skull and crossbone magnets and pirate party tape from Oriental Trading I will use to decorate, and I found a Tinkerbell dry erase board with magnets at the 1.00 Store!! So come by cabin 2504 and leave us a message!
Lifesaver magnets sound fun too!

Is anyone dressing up for Pirate Night? We are! ( not that my DH and DS's want to - the said they will be the ONLY ones!) I've got a few extra eye patches and pirate beards and mustashes if anyone is interested - Oriental Trading only sells by the dozen - so let me know if anyone is interested! Our costumes aren't all that fancy - just somethings I pulled together.

No for our suitecase count........We are up to 5 plus carryons!!
and I haven't packed my shoes yet!!!! Just decide they all won't fit in our minivan ( DH's brother was going to take us to the airport)
SO - what the heck - why stress about tying things on the roof rack - I called and order up a stretch limo to take us to and pick us up from the airport! Hey - it's only money - Right!!!

Ok -enough break time - time to finish packing!

Spent time packing today -- 4 suitcases all under 35 pounds - the problem is that they are really full -- no room for souveniers!!

Will have to pull out some stuff and then wear what I buy!!

We will be dressing for pirates night - we will be the crew of the ship as I pulled together our outfits and -- well-- they look that way!! Let's just say -- arts and crafts is not my strong suit!!

Working on door decorations -- right now I am leaning towards pictures from our past cruises, Mickeys, and other assorted magnets. Our pirate flag was stolen from our door the last cruise so I won't be bringing another -- although I would like to believe that there will be a better sort on this cruise!

Only two more work days and 5 more wake-ups!! Can hardly wait! See you all real soon.

Nice job on the magnets John.

I have to look through our to- be -scrapbooked box with our stuff in it from our December cruise to see if I can find the Mickey magnets my parents had made with the boys names on them. They really helped us find our room quickly.

I have some magnetic paper left over from last year that I'll try and get together a simple door sign. I've been meaning to do it, but have been so busy lately with baseball. We have yet to pack a single thing, but have most of our dinner wear hanging separate in our closets ready to pack. I think we'll each have a large rolling duffle bag, share a formal wear bag and have a misc. duffle/bathroom stuff bag. We currently have 3 carry ons (lap top bag, camera bag and misc. bag) and may bring an extra just in case for souvenirs.

It's hard to believe we'll be on the Magic in 5 days!!!

One quick suggestion. On our travels, I pack a couple of plastic shoe boxes full of stuff. On our return, our fragile items that we collect along the way can be placed there for the return. Since luggage is typically soft now a days, it is safer.

Kate plans on collecting Basalmic Vinegar on the trip, probably as much as she can get her hands on, the rarer the better. Oh my will I be glad they are safely packed!!

Packing Tip # 2 Don't pack each person's clothes in one suitcase. Mix everyone's clothes in all of your suitcases when you pack - this way if one case doesn't make it - one person won't be out of luck - there will be other clothes in other bags. I think this will be a pain in the neck when unpacking, but I have read that this has happened to folks ( sorry you were one of them Denise!)

Still at 5 suitcases ---- but # 6 is waiting in the wings!! Got to think about those souvenirs and the 50lb limit! Dn't want to think about dragging them through the airport or storing them in our cabin

Tomorrow we hit the store for last minute items!

I called the credit card companies today to tell them we were going & our bank debit card....

I did our online registration and printed out all our important papers. Sent copies of passports to our yahoo account.

Now, I'm packing... YIPEEEEEEEE...

As far as I know, that is all you need. That is all we are printing out.
Maybe they meant other things - itinerary, air info, hotel info, passport copies, credit card copies...

Hi Keith,
I know the trip is getting closer because I've had my first "forgot the passports" nightmare. Of course, they were in DH's carry-on

I'll avoid that "I've forgotten something" feeling by tossing everything but the kitchen sink into the suitcases about 4am Wed morning - when panic strikes and I'm too tired to remember why I didn't need all that stuff.

Three more sleeps! (I hope I make it to sleep)

I'll try to get a reservation for Fri night at Meson David for 30 people. Anyone else interested?

YES, You did miss something...

But it's not such a big deal. There is an Online Check-In Signature Form that you should print out to bring with you. Each adult guest must sign the form. It acknowledges that you have read and understand the Cruise Contract. There is also a page to sign for your credit card that will be used for onboard charges. The last pages show a summary of your travelling party and their info such as passport numbers and emergency contacts.

If you don't bring it with you, I'm sure that they will print it out again, but it slows down the check in procedure.

I believe the other important papers only refers to things you need for your travel like airline reservations, confirmation codes for hotels, etc.

I guess... I'm mssing papers.... I wasn't aware of the ones Epcot_VA is talking about. I did sign the cruise contract. I was actually referring to my parking garage receipt, my airline ticketless itinerary, hotel reservations, trip insurance, tours, etc...

It didn't say when I did the online reservations to print and sign anything. I'll have to go back and re-read.

For the cruise contract it was with my documents that I received so I just signed that one. No point in reprinting...

I must of missed the instructions to print out the credit card one. Since I'm taking the cruise docs with me I'll probably just fill that one out. My paper folder is already getting too full that I don't want to add more to it. Less paper is better for me

Also, looking through my cruise documents there is not any pages to print your passport information on. I did fill it out online.

Also, in the cruise docs I got Acknowledgement, Release & Indemnity Agreement for tours to sign that wasn't part of the online stuff...

Dear Kathy, I don't mean to jump in here, as you have so kindly offered to make the group dinner ressie at Meson David, but I was just reading though my emails with the company that we are renting an apartment from, and they offered to make dinner ressies for us if we needed. So, I just sent off an email requesting them to make a ressie for 30 at Meson David at 8pm on Friday. NOTE TO ALL: I have asked him to make the ressie under the name of MICKEY MOUSE!

I will post again to confirm they were or were not able to do this. Again, I hope you don't mind - but if this works, I thought this might save you some touring time while in BCN!
