Seven Months out

OK so I am right now sitting in ROFR lala land. So while I wait I need to learn When everyone talks about 11 or 7 months out does that mean right to the day? So if I need something June 13, 2013, can I call at the beginning of November or do I need to wait until about November 13th? I'm already excited for next years trip!!!!

It is to the day for reserving a room at a non-home resort. It is to the day for the 11 month mark, as well. So in your example, you would have to call November 13 at the earliest to book at a non-home resort. If MS is closed on the day 7 or 11 months ahead (such as on holidays) then you have to wait until the next business day. This issue is probably circumvented by online booking.

For June 13, 2013 you can book at your home resort on July 13, 2012 and for a non home resort you can book on November 13, 2013 for June 13, 2013. You can book for 7 nights from that day so you could book June 13-19th at one time.

You can reserve beginning 8 a.m. eastern exactly 7 months out from date of arrival (Nov 13 for June 13) if you reserve on-line. If you use phone to call MS, you cannot call until 9 a.m. eastern.

What if I'm going to book for the 31st of a month where 7 months prior the month only has 30 days?

For example:
Booking 30 January 2013, 7 months prior is 30 June 2012 (no problem)
Booking 31 January 2013, 7 months prior is ?? June 30 or July 1?

OR

Booking 28 September 2013, 7 months prior is 28 February 2013.
Booking 30 September 2013, 7 months prior is ?

It's up to, and including 7 months prior.

Therefore...
Booking 31 January 2013, 7 months prior is ...July 1st.

Once you're a member, log onto the DVC website and it will tell you the dates you can start reserving, broken down by your home resort (11 months)and all others (7 months). No need to stress about figuring out the exact dates yourself.
