I think we will go to Seven Mile Beach after our horseback ride. I am failing in my attempt to get info about this area. Is it a family beach? Is it within walking or short cab ride to the dock? Could you help me get to a link?
Thanks,
Ann

We are thinking of doing the same thing and would also like to know if it is a family beach because we have a DD2 abd really dont want to go if it is really crazy and packed!

Are you talking about 7 mile beach on Grand Cayman? If so, it is a beautiful beach like you would see in a brochure and very family friendly. You cannot walk from the dock.

::MickeyMo Seven Mile Beach in Grand Caymen is a beautiful white sand beach. Just take a taxi and they'll drop you off at a place that has food, drinks, chairs, umbrellas.I can't remember the name of the place. Also, you can have them let you off at the Holiday Inn, but the beach is across the street. We did that once and were able to use their pool, chairs, umbrellas. When you're ready to go back there are plenty of taxis around. The last time we were there we did Cp Marvins Sting Ray tour, then ate at the Hard Rock Cafe in town, then took a taxi to the 7 mile beach for a couple of hours. Have fun !!::MinnieMo

I believe the Holiday Inn is now the "Marriott". Anyway, its a beautiful beach, and you'll have a great time.

we went to 7 mile after the stingrays. i met my family at the pier and we took a taxi/van with another family to the beach. i think it was $15 for 9 of us. the trip back was cheaper because the driver couldn't make change and the only small bill we had was a $10.

the beach is beautiful, clean and uncrowded. the water is warm and calm. we rented chairs and spent the entire afternoon there.

i grew up in nj and spent my childhood at the beach but now i live inland so i take advantage of all the beach time i can get. that is why cc is my favorite day.

Can you rent jetskiis at 7 mile beach???

dear TheWog, i don't know the details but we did see jet ski rentals at 7 mile. also i learned recently, from the disboard that cc may have started a jet ski eco tour of the island. i'm going to call disney later today to check it out. we have never done jet skis so perhaps our 1st experience should be supervised.

ps. love your username

Thanks herrbeeb -

We are going to GC on The Enchantment in January and then returning the following January 06 with our son on the Magic. We rented them in St. Maarten and had a great time and my son wants to do it again. I was thinking of something for the guys to do while the girls lay on the beach this time with no kids.

Thanks about the username, it came out of my high school sweetheart turned wife calling me Paullywog, since my name is Paul, and then people started with TheWog. When I had to come up with some sort of name for the internet and saw the other crazy ones out there, figured it would be perfect.

dear TheWog, can you believe it? my username is my husband's nickname for me, one of them anyway. he often calls me HB for short.

can you tell me more about st. martin? we are not enthused about any of the disney shore excursions and may try to plan a day on our own. the kids have expressed an interest in jet skis.

thanx,

leslie (herrbeeb)
