Saw Seven Mile Beach on Grand Cayman recommended on a thread and have a few questions for anyone who has been there:

Does it cost to use the beach like on Cozumel? If so, approximately how much?
Where would be the best area to go? Is there food and drink available there?
Looked at Calico Jacks, anyone's opinion on it?
Is there shade at the edge of the beach? My grandchildren love the sun, my skin does not.

Thank you in advance for any info.

On our last DCL cruise, we went to Royal Palms Club on Seven Mile Beach. I booked a cabana prior to arriving. It wasn't cheap, but it was very nice to have a private, shaded area to hang out and have lunch (they have cabana service available). The beach there was very nice. We went in March, so it was a bit crowded with the cruise and spring break crowd. Just know, the beach is family friendly, but the pool is adults-only and had a party atmosphere (which we simply steered clear of). They also had bathrooms and showers.

We also did this on our cruise in June. The service was terrible but we still enjoyed it very much.
