Good morning Js & Ks!!

Life is finally returning to normal (whatever that is! )!!! The A/C is back on and our temps have retreated from the 100's to the balmy 90's!! ATL broke their all-time highest temp record, hitting 106 Saturday. Athens, GA was 109.

Spending 2 nights in a hotel so close to home was strange! I would have rather spent those nights up in the mountains, but had to stay close to the house.


Brandi, is your power still out?


Hope y'all have a great day. What's everyone doing tomorrow? Our family is going to Chateau Elan - the winery in Braselton, GA. It's becoming a tradition! They have a nice fireworks display to end the evening.

So happy to hear you have power and are back home. We keep going by the house to make sure everything is good there and that people are "staying" away...

Brandi - You guys have been hit so hard. Our area too, but we are so fortunate that we got our power back. My boss, who lives less than a mile from me, is also on day 5 without power and they have been told "maybe" by the end of the week. They lost all the food in their refrigerator as well as their freezer. They cleaned the freezer out very well and then had a company come and haul the freezer away because it had already started to mold. The folks across the street from us are still without power. It is so hit and miss it boggles the mind. I am glad you found a hotel to move to; there aren't any available in our area.
