I was finally released from my jury duty today. In the end I was sitting as a juror for 3 weeks and 1 day. It was very interesting and I thoroughly enjoyed it, but I am now ready to go back to work and into my normal routine.

I also just had to share with everyone the fabulous new accessory I now have....

Lovely isn't it? It's my punishment for not staying off my ankle that I sprained in the beginning of May. Hoping I only have to wear it for a month, but it may be two. I've already learned I can't drive in it or take stairs, so I keep taking it off to do both. Thankfully, I don't have to do a ton of either. And it's better than the hard cast the doc threatened to put me in!

good luck with that... I had one for 15 weeks!
Not fun, but I got good at stairs and could drive with mine. I could walk pretty fast which surprised a lot of people on the two different cruises I was on...

Make sure you wear a sock or get some "new Skin" to put on your upper lug where it rubs the skin, I got a blister and did not really notice until it got bad!

Thanks for the tip about the "new Skin". I'm getting better at stairs, but I can't fully bend my leg when I drive with the boot on, so all the pressure is on my ankle. And for some reason, it's been hurting worse at night than it did before I started wearing this.

Afternoon J's & K's - hope everyone is doing good!!! Still hot here, spending a lot of time IN the pool. Getting ready for our camping trip - just a few more days till we leave, I can hardly wait - I'm ready to go fishing and eat smores!!!

We came back from Napa ValleyTuesday night. Had a great time! I LOVE NAPA, almost as much as I love WDW. Whole different experience but so relaxing and beautiful.

Alison, Sending prayers for Fran's surgery to go SUPER and they get ALL the nasty bugs. You my friend really deserve a break in all of this stuff!

Laura, I would love to join you all at Flying Fish for October 7th. Sounds like a super great night! However, DH said we can't, there are other plans. Ann..I am doing well...

Today i was on Capitol Hill speaking with our congress men and women. Meet a lot of them, sraffers and interns from all over the country. I also was a part of the congressional causus.

That was a first for me...

For the occasions I wore a nice suit and I walked a bunch and wore a pair of heels.. this however was not a great combination... I now have 4 blisters... One is about the size of two half dollars... One burst... So I can hardly walk now...

I can't believe this is happenning.
