Good morning, Js & Ks! :sunny:

I hope Debby is kind to those of you in her path. Even though I know it isn't so, it still seems early in the season to me. A dear friend is Director of Emergency Management for Franklin County, FL and I am assuming his life is not very relaxed right now. Stay safe, everyone!

:wave2:

Sounds like Debby is going to sit over FL for several days. :sad2:

Lord, could they ever use that rain in Colorado. I am so sad to hear what's happening in the Colorado Springs area (one of my favorite places in the USA). They've evacuated Pikes Pike, Estes Park...... we all need to pray for those people. :sad1:

We found a "beach" within a twenty minute drive of our house. Not much beach to speak of, but we did get to sit and look at the water a bit. We were in Virginia (obviously) but we were looking across the Potomac to Maryland.

Good morning J's & K's:goodvibes

Hope everyone is staying dry, this weather is awful:eek: Tons of rain, thunder and lightening here....Hope everyone stays safe!

The weather is the reason I think I even had time to get here today:laughing: Cant walk the dog in this weather, and I said the heck w/the errands I was going to run before work.

Hopefully I can stop by every day, but now that I am back to work I'm not sure. So if I dont get back tomorrow, I should be back on day off Friday!

Have a great week!

:wave2:

:wave2:

Hi everyone....

Today has been my crazy Monday... Pre-meeting, meeting and post-meeting.

Have a great day !

:wave2:

Jambo everybody :) hope you all have a fabulous day!

:wave2:

Wishing everyone a great day too! :goodvibes

My boss' son and his wife live in Colorado Springs and they had hiked to the top of Pike's Peak the other day. They were evacuated via the cog railway and now have to stay in their home with all the windows closed. Unfortunately it is about 100 degrees and apparently most homes in the area do not have AC. How miserable it must be for all those poor people. :(

As much as I am enjoying our cooler temps and beautiful sunshine here in Virginia, we could use some of Debby's rains up here. Let's hope she leaves the areas she is pounding right now and shares some of that rain with the rest of the east coast.

Everyone stay safe!

Agree with everything here...

I just left Colorado Springs, up around the Air Force Academy and it smelled like a campfire the whole time.

People who have breathing problems like asthma were really suffering then, and I know it is worse now.

Good morning, Js & Ks! :sunny:

Good morning! Wishing all my J & K friends a happy Tuesday! :goodvibes

Boy, that was hard this morning. CP Pkgs opened for booking, both online and by phone. We could book either Trace Adkins or Gary Sinese for our December trip, but since we've done CP many times, we are opting to save our $$$ for other things at WDW (like Drinking!! :rotfl:)

Yet I couldn't help myself. :hyper: I kept playing online!! In the end though, I surprised myself and restrained!

More $$$$ for drinking is a good thing!:teacher:

We will be staying at AKL on July 4th (mini vacay) and I was wondering where we can get breakfast at the lodge the next morning. Also is there a place to get milk for coffee. Thanks.

Boma offers a great breakfast buffet and the quick service place Mara that has breakfast items.

there is also items like milk in the Zawadi Marketplace.

good morning everyone! :sunny:

It is raining here in Oregon still - spring just can NOT let summer take over! :headache: We aren't having nearly as bad a time as the south though - I hope debbie runs her course very soon!

Hopefully someone can help me with my fretting... we have rented a car in the past and enjoyed it but I am not sure it will be worth it this time. I've heard mixed reviews on the AKL busses and since we are not going during a very busy time I am guessing they will be shared between Kidani and Jambo (Oct 28-Nov 3rd). We have a lot of reservations for dinners at resorts as well, including Victoria and Alberts and Hoop de Doo, and it seems like those would both be hard to get to on the public transportation options. We also have two early morning breakfasts (8am) one at MK and another at Kona. I know we can park for free at the parks, and I'll be doing the math on whether or not to upgrade my pass and get TiW as well today, so we might have free valet as well.

I just can't decide if we should rent one or not. Its another expense on top of an already expensive trip, but it seems like there are some times it would come very much in handy... :confused3

Just stopping by to wish you all a Happy Tuesday!:goodvibes
See you all tomorrow (hopefully)

242 more days until AKLV CL (UGH:laughing:)

I am proud of your restraint, Laura! If we are able to get to WDW for Christmas this year we won't be booking CP either. As you know, we have done it "umpteenth" times and I have the CD. So, my family doesn't have to suffer through my musical addiction. :rotfl:

I am working on my "new" laptop this morning. I had to get a new hard drive for my Dell that I won from Popcap Games a couple of years ago. Not a bad deal since it is a very good business level machine and the new hard drive cost a smidge over $200 installed and with all files they could get off the old one put back on here. But the reinstallation of all that software I use on an almost daily basis is something I hate doing. I could procrastinate so easily....

I've never felt the need for a car, but if it would make you more comfortable I'd say go for it. The buses are always shared between Jambo and Kidani. I think they have an excellent bus system, have never waited very long. The TiW card is very worth it, especially if you're planning more than one trip within the year.

...ITA agree about renting a car - I've had early ressies for breakfast [as early as 7:30!] and have never had a problem getting there using the WDW transportation.....

Thank you both~! How early would you recommend leaving Jambo to make the 8am reservations by MK...? I think since we would have to take the monorail to get there it would be around an hour either way, right?

We are only going once this year, but it seems like V&A alone would almost make up for it, and then the rest would be pure disney math profit! (I really will sit down and do the math though, that is my next task!)

....personally, if I had breakfast ressies for any location on the 'monorail loop', I'd make MK my park-of-the-day. That's what we always do when we have ressies for Chef Mickey's - enjoy a great breakfast and then head on over to MK.....you could take a bus to TTA at MK and then transfer onto the monorail or you could take a bus to Epcot and take the monorail from there. That one'd take you to MK - jump on over to the other monorail. Usually the first stop is GF....You'd probably get there in time if you left by 7:15....
